Hello Smile

As title says ttc #1, cycle 1, 30 yo. I got my 1st flashing smiley this morning on the CB test.

Thought it would be nice to hear from other ladies in a similar position.

I’m confused what CD this is for me. I have another full thread on this so won’t rewrite it here but if anyone can help me on that thread (title: my first ever flashing smiley please help) I’d be grateful as I’m very confused. This may be CD10 for me or may be CD5 Confused

How are your new journeys going? Smile

@RMS0209 feb will be our month! 🥰

lakejupiter · 27/01/2022 14:23

Oooof sorry to hear @SMD16 - Feb BFPs all round ❤️❤️❤️ look after yourself today!!

My AF has calmed down a bit - now on CD4 and she's gone from absolute horror movie river of blood to manageable. Hoping today is the last day of bleeding.

RMS0209 · 27/01/2022 15:26

That's my easy @ home ovulation tests arrived from Amazon.
Thanks for the recommendation ladies!

Newbiemg · 27/01/2022 18:10

@RMS0209 are you up north or in Scotland? I only ask because the way you type things sometimes is the way my friends from Scotland speak and I just notice it sometimes Lol

I was thinking perhaps to change from the Femometer to the easy@home maybe if I need to next cycle but then I think I’ve now got used to how my lines look on Femometer so maybe I should stick with them. Let me know how you find them Smile

RMS0209 · 27/01/2022 18:46

@Newbiemg haha yeah Scotland 😀😊 oopsie! Nothing getting by you

I hope they are good, I used cheapies off eBay last month but hoping with these I can update premom with them too!
How you doing today? How's everybody else all good? X

Newbiemg · 27/01/2022 18:59

Haha it’s just sometimes the way you word things I read it in my head in a Scottish accent 😂 I have family and friends up there.

Yes they have a specific section for easy@home on Premom don’t they Smile

I’m good. I have a feeling I’m going to get an early AF but just have to wait and see. Only 6DPO so too soon to test or anything.

How are you? @RMS0209

RMS0209 · 27/01/2022 21:37

@Newbiemg
Well you'd make a good spy... I wouldn't make a good undercover 😂

I had a quick look on it, seems like they do.. so hopefully more luck with that and the CB next cycle!

Everything crossed for no early AF!
I'm fine... waiting for AF to leave so I can get started next cycle. I ordered the tablets impryl you had last cycle to give a try and see how I get on
Nearly Friday... think of the positives!

@SMD16 how you doing now? Hope all good @lakejupiter how are you doing too? All good I hope x

lakejupiter · 27/01/2022 21:47

Hi @RMS0209 I'm okay thanks, not too much to report over here. Been planning out inseminations with my coparent - always a bit stressful as never know when my peak will be and we have to plan them out in advance. But think we will have it covered as long as I ovulate at the usual time. AF has chilled out, am on CD4 so should be gone tomorrow. Enjoying being a bit more chilled this week on fertility stuff whilst waiting for my fertile window. Ordered more OPKs and some PreSeed. Had lots of work this week to distract me from AF sadness and going for a freezing dip in the river tomorrow!

SMD16 · 27/01/2022 22:30

Heeeey! Sorry I went quiet, spent two hours in bed cuddling the hot water bottle. Thought I'd take a nice slow walk with the dog to help then we both napped ok the sofa. So other than the period pains I'm ok @RMS0209 hope you are too... and everyone else 🙂 just gunna catch up on the feed now x

lakejupiter · 27/01/2022 23:06

Sorry about the period pains @SMD16 😭 I've never been on birth control but my first TTC/post-BFN period was the worst one I've had in a couple of years, absolute horror movie! It's like my uterus knows.....

SMD16 · 27/01/2022 23:12

@lakejupiter it's cruel isn't it! This one's on par with the one earlier this month. I went to get something out the fridge and practically fell to the floor with the cramp that came on 😂😂😂😂

Newbiemg · 27/01/2022 23:49

So sorry to hear you ladies are having horrible AFs I hope you feel better soon! Flowers

Todays strange question... has any body has covid? Me and partner caught it a few days ago (weeeh) I know... next worry AF doesn't seem to be getting any lighter she's due to leave tomorrow. And silly started digging around here and saw a woman who's period didn't leave for 3 months..... somebody please help and reassure me I'm going crazy BlushConfused

lakejupiter · 28/01/2022 17:31

Hi @RMS0209 - I had covid in March 2020 ( a million years agooooo) and it did cause me to skip a period then have a really really heavy double period. And after my jabs I get heavier flows - had my jab last month so this month was a killer (on top of BFN!) - I don't think it's likely you'll bleed for three months though! And think of it this way: you're already on a new cycle so it's not delaying your cycle the way a late start would it that makes sense....hope you don't feel too rough ❤️

RMS0209 · 28/01/2022 17:41

@lakejupiter hello! Thanks, I feel fine it's very strange.. (I'm not) but feel like I could go about my days as normal I have 0 symptoms but I just notice AF is still heavy especially for day 4 I'm just worried she's not going to leave when shes due to tomorrow 🥲

I’ve had covid but I didn’t have my AF at the time I had it but my AF didn’t seem any different after having it. If anything my last 2 AFs have been lighter than I’m used to but my ones directly after having covid were normal. No longer or anything.

Newbiemg · 30/01/2022 15:24

@RMS0209 how are you feeling today? Any covid symptoms? AF still there?x

OP posts:
RMS0209 · 30/01/2022 18:23

@newbiemg thanks for checking in! How was out with the girls? Hope you had fun.
AF still here, really upset. Hoping doc can help tomorrow
And nearly negative on LFT's now.. still no symptoms! How great x

Newbiemg · 31/01/2022 08:51

@RMS0209 It was nice being out with the girls thanks. I didn’t drink because I was in the tww. I know a couple wouldn’t have hurt but I was airing on the side of caution lol but still had a nice time.

I’m glad you haven’t felt unwell with covid but really sorry to hear about AF. I hope the doctor can help you today Flowers

I’m back to CD1 today. AF made an early appearance this morning. That was only a 26 day cycle which is short for me and also I’m only 10DPO today so that’s a short luteal phase which isn’t good. Have to keep an eye on it. Hopefully it’s a one off.

Sorry for repeating some of that I wrote in both chats x

OP posts:
RMS0209 · 31/01/2022 09:17

@Newbiemg oh no so sorry to hear AF made an appearance, defiantly keep an eye and hopefully as you say it's a one time appearance.
Hope you are feeling ok today though x

RMS0209 · 31/01/2022 09:51

@Newbiemg spoke to Dr, it's a typical side effect of covid to bleed a bit Irregular she said it should settle down in a few "weeks" so that's me upset for the day Sad x

Newbiemg · 31/01/2022 10:45

@RMS0209 I feel ok. I was expecting it tbh so I’m not surprised. For the last few days since about 6DPO I’ve felt like AF was coming. I had all the symptoms I usually get when it’s due but I was just abit confused how early it was. I ovulated CD17 this time though and usually I ovulate CD13 so everything seemed abit off this time.

Oh no I hope it doesn’t take a few weeks Sad hopefully it just lasts a few days longer.

Ive taken a tablet before called norethisterone which delays your AF for holidays and things and I’ve also seen people on here taking it to stop prolonged AFs or induce them for IVF etc. I assume your won’t want to take anything at this point which could mess your cycle up more but perhaps if it does end up lasting a while it’s something you could potentially speak to the doctor about.

Hopefully though AF gets the hint and goes away really soon for you!

Here for you if you need to talk or even just rant this week x
