Hello Smile

As title says ttc #1, cycle 1, 30 yo. I got my 1st flashing smiley this morning on the CB test.

Thought it would be nice to hear from other ladies in a similar position.

I’m confused what CD this is for me. I have another full thread on this so won’t rewrite it here but if anyone can help me on that thread (title: my first ever flashing smiley please help) I’d be grateful as I’m very confused. This may be CD10 for me or may be CD5 Confused

How are your new journeys going? Smile

13DPO CD31

Started as half a line at the 10 minute mark and darkened to a full line between 10 and 12 minutes or so after peeing.

And now I'm gonna be up all night wondering if this is a false positive!

Damn you Sainsburys and your lack of pink tests.

I have a digital waiting in the drawer for tomorrow or day after though...

Sending this to you all as a good omen! Star

@GlowyMoonstone how exciting! Looks positive to me but I’m not sure about how these evap lines work. Let us know once you’ve done the digital. Really hoping that’s a real positive for you! Flowers

Day 5 of flashing smileys for me today. Starting to hate that flashing face lol. I did start testing too early though and this is CD10 for me which I think is the day a lot of people do their first test.

I started testing at CD5 because I took period delay tablets which I’m really kicking myself for now because today would be CD15 for me if I hadn’t and according to Flo app 1dpo. Nevermind!

I have no other symptoms that’s making me think I’m ovulating today or tomorrow. No ewcm or pains and I usually get a bad headache the day before so I think I have a few more days of flashing smileys to come yet Smile

Newbiemg · 15/12/2021 16:15

Question about Cervical mucus sorry if this is TMI!

So I know when you’re due to ovulate some ladies get the ewcm. I do get that too and actually never knew what it was specifically for or meant until recently just knew it was a normal thing for me to get.

Anyway my question is about white “lotion” type mucus (sorry!).

How long before the ewcm do you tend to get that white creamy type of mucus?

I’ve never paid that much attention but I’m just trying to learn about everything as I go along. Thanks Smile

TMI from me now lol. I never payed any attention to this either before reading about it. I notice CD16 on this cycle directly after my MC (so 16 days from when I first started bleeding) I had ALOT of fertile cervical mucous more than usual alot more than usual. Why i have no idea but i knew when I looked at my toilet tissue my ovulation day wasn't far away. I ovulated 2 days later. It was just like what it says online raw egg white. I'm now 2dpo. I'm just hoping I have dtd enough. Only day I didn't was CD15.
Newbiemg · 15/12/2021 16:42

Lol I’m ok with the TMI. I’ve got like a white creamy type today not the ewcm but I’m hoping that’s a step closer to my peak. I deffo need to relax more. I’m getting a little ahead of myself this month.

I’m keeping my fingers tightly crossed for your bfp @Jayjane79 Xmas Smile

15DPO CD33

Woke up to a torrent of blood and horrific cramps. Back to CD1 and on to cycle 2.

I swear I conceived this cycle and it didn't stick, unless my body is particularly good at wishful thinking and manifesting unusual 'symptoms'.

Disappointed, but never expected to be pregnant instantly so not surprised. I'm taking this as a positive, I get an extra couple weeks to take my vits, eat healthy and mentally prepare Biscuit

Fingers crossed now for @Newbiemg and @Jayjane79 !!! Thanks

Fingers crossed for you for next cycle. Like you say gives you more time prepare with vitamins etc. I was taking prednacare it made me ovulate around 3 days later than usual.

@GlowyMoonstone that is a shame, I’m sorry to hear. BUT onto the next! Will you do anything different next time? I’m definitely going to start LH tests early this round.

Newbiemg · 16/12/2021 10:03

@Jayjane79 I’m not sure if my OPKs are getting closer as I’m only using the clear blue digital ones. They just show a flashing smiley and then a static smiley when you hit your peak. The box says to ignore the lines on the strips as they’re all over the place.

Next cycle if I need to I will get some of the OPKs with lines too so I can see the progression.

I got another flashing smiley this morning and I’m CD11. According to Flo app I’ll be ovulating on Monday but not sure how accurate that will be. If it’s right then I would expect my static this weekend maybe.

How are you finding your tww? 3dpo for you isn’t it? Smile

I should add that I don’t actually want to get my peak this weekend as my OH is away. Sunday night he is back so Sunday night or Monday would be best. If it comes Saturday I might miss it as he is away Friday and Saturday so that would be bad luck. Fingers crossed that the timings pan out 🤞

Yes 3dpo, errrrrm not much different really apart from the usual rise in progesterone systems, nipples a little sensitive, a little bloated, feeling a little dizzy. Nothing out of the norm but it is really early. I get restless legs in early pregnancy a day or 2 after implantation so I will be looking out for it no doubt and I also get very sore boobs quite quickly. This is how I knew I was MC the first day of the bleeding all my pregnancy symptoms just literally disappeared 😭.

Fingers crossed for you it's Monday.. I bet it will just jump on him as soon as he walks through the door lol.
CrazyCatLady95 · 16/12/2021 10:40

Hi all, this is my first post! I am on #1 TTC, age 26, had implant removed 12th Nov so very unsure of my CD. Feel like I ovulated on 3rd/4th December (what I thought was ovulation pain for about 13h in right side) and OPKs were coming back stronger but then peaked on 5/6th December so who knows when I ovulated! So right now I could be anywhere from 9-13DPO. BUT had one episode of spotting on 8th December which seems too soon to be implantation! Have never felt so bloated in all my life, headaches, aches/pulling/twinges/stabbing pains for about a week now. No sore boobs. Creamy CM since ovulation. Unsure of the whole cervical position as mine site very low anyway. I have done 2 frer and 2 CB early over the last week. Also cheapies and nothing so far! Expecting AF around this weekend I think, hoping she doesn't turn up!
Looking forward to keeping in touch see how everyone gets on! Smile

Has anyone been using evening primrose oil? I’ve heard it’s good for ewcm.

I’m not going to start using it in this cycle now but perhaps something to look into for next if I need to.

I used to get a lot of ewcm but now I’m starting to think back and I don’t remember the last time I had it so now I’m wondering if I haven’t had it for a while.

I’m being an overthinker this week and I haven’t even reached my peak so I can already tell I’m going to be a nightmare in my tww 🤦‍♀️ Sorry in advance if I am lol

So yeah just wondered if anyone’s used it and if it helped or if anyone has any other good tips in general it might be nice for us to share them with eachother Smile

@Newbiemg I haven’t tried EPO but have heard good things. Also heard good things about a glass of grapefruit juice per day, which I am semi trying (by eating half of one per day starting CD1). I’ll report back!

Newbiemg · 16/12/2021 14:34

@HelloPippa oh I haven’t heard the grapefruit one. Yes deffo let us know if that helps!

Hi 👋
TTC #1, cycle 2.

Recently started taking evening primrose oil. No idea if it's helping yet. Not noticed any more EWCM at all!

I thought I was due to ovulate somewhen this weekend but having started testing a few days after my period (I think it was cycle day 11/12 I started up the OPKs again), the lines are getting fainter. So I have no idea how/why would be getting lighter the nearer to when I thought ovulation would occur.

CrazyCatLady95 · 16/12/2021 15:18

@beaverdiego I found that my OPKs were very random until I actually started ovulating. Some were barely there and some more visible. I think depending on how hydrated I was! But then again My cycle hasn't had time to readjust!

Newbiemg · 16/12/2021 16:16

Welcome @beaverdiego Smile

I think I’m due to have my peak this weekend or early next week too. Hoping for next week as better for me timing wise with OH.

I was abit unsure on using the OPKs with lines. I got some cheapie Superdrug own ones last month. I wasn’t ttc yet but I just picked them up while out thought I’d test that month see if I could get an idea. I had no idea what I was looking at Grin

So I opted for the clear blue digital ones for my cycle 1 ttc this month as I thought the smiley faces would be easier for me. Expensive though!

So if I need to keep trying next cycle I think I’ll do a mixture of cheapie OPKs and try and get my head around the lines and maybe confirm with the clear blue smileys closer to my predicted ov day.

Lots of luck to you this cycle Flowers
