Ttc #1 and cycle 1. Anyone else?

Hello Smile

As title says ttc #1, cycle 1, 30 yo. I got my 1st flashing smiley this morning on the CB test.

Thought it would be nice to hear from other ladies in a similar position.

I’m confused what CD this is for me. I have another full thread on this so won’t rewrite it here but if anyone can help me on that thread (title: my first ever flashing smiley please help) I’d be grateful as I’m very confused. This may be CD10 for me or may be CD5 Confused

Hi! I am also #1 cycle 1 and 31. My ovulation day (according to Natural Cycles who definitely know more than me at this point) is CD18 with a variation of two days. I’m currently on CD26, ~8 DPO.

And you Smile @Newbiemg! It’s like buying a lottery ticket, you know rationally you’re unlikely to win the jackpot first time and yet part of you is still convinced... Grin I woke up with familiar AF symptoms this morning even though it’s not due for two days so not confident. How are you doing with it?

I know it’s hard to not get your hopes up isn’t it. I’m not in my tww yet. Currently just finished my AF so waiting for my peak days. I’m using the clear blue ovulation tests with the smiley faces. I got a flashing smiley yesterday and one today. I’m expecting a few more days of flashing ones yet before I get a static though.

Are you going to wait to see if AF is late before testing? Will keep my fingers crossed for you Smile

I actually did test with an ultra early clearblue this morning - BFN. And very definite period pains - onto next month!

What will you do with testing? Just wait or go early?

Oh so sorry to hear that but lots of luck for the next month! I think like you said unlikely to win the jackpot first time. We’re still learning our bodies Smile

I’d like to say I’ll wait but not sure I believe myself. Will likely do an early test too.

I'm TTC1 after a MC. I got my first peak opk this morning CD17 if you count the first day of my MC as CD1. Really hoping for a Christmas BFP.

Im on CD17 and didn't dtd CD15 so now I'm annoyed at myself but I wanted the other half recharge his swimmers 🙃. Just hoping I've done it enough and around the right time. Id love a BFP for Christmas. This is the first time using the premom app as well not quite sure how I feel about the opk photo data I think it varies to much.

Fingers crossed you get your static smiley soon and get your BFP.

I think you have covered yourself there even without the 15th. Looks like you’ve done all you can and have a great chance! I’ve read stories on here from ladies who only dtd once the day before ov and got a bfp so I think it only takes that one lucky time Smile

I haven’t tried the prenom app. I’ve been using the Flo app but last month I used the cheapie opks to see if they matched up and I found the Flo app was really out on my peak day compared to the opks. This month I’ve ignored the app and just going by the CB tests.

Might give the prenom app a try next month if I need to!

Fingers crossed for us both. I like the flo app but it takes a couple of cycles before the predictions are better. I'm using the easy at home ovulation tests but I previously used the even cheaper onestep and found both as good as each other so will order more onestep if I need any.

11DPO and CD 22 (I have a luteal phase that's slightly on the shorter side). Taking conception vitamins though which supposedly help with that, among other things.

I'm taking pregnacare but I'm sure it's messed with my cycles. Im ovulating 2/3 days later than usual.

I'm taking Boots 'Conception' but when they run out I have Seven Seas 'Trying for a Baby' on standby, no real reason other than the shelves in Boots were fairly empty last week in town and they were the next affordable option :)

I have heard some good things and yeah they are more affordable than others brands so hopefully they do the trick.

Update from me:

As it has just ticked over into a new day, am now 13DPO CD31. Absolutely no sign of AF. Cycle usually 28/29 days. Stark white BFNs.

Boobs have been aching and veiny for two days now which is a new one on me - never get this before period. Lower back pain on and off, was more constant 5-10DPO to the point I could hardly sit down. That's unusual for me too...

Cervix post ovulation was firm, but for last 2 days it has been soft and today (TMI) cm was clear/white and mucusy - very snot like Blush Did an opk today to check I hadn't lost my mind - negative.

Twingy slight stabby pains in pelvic area on and off. Were more pronounced 5-10DPO. Raging headaches a few days ago have eased. Urinating an infuriating amount however I am drinking a fair bit to take my mind off things (tea, obviously) so probably my own fault.

OH is convinced we have cracked it in one, but surely not?

Am convinced AF is just toying with me.

Well I'm 1dpo today so the tww has started. The extreme symptom spotting and ridiculous amount of money to be spent on pregnancy tests is about to commence lol. I really really want a BFP for Christmas.
