@Minster2012 you see this is the benefit of an anonymous forum, if I tell you I'm a wrinkly fucker you have to take my word for it! Can you try some of that forehead stick thing, see if that will ease it? Also you can take paracetamol in pregnancy

@larrythelizard a wrinkly fucker 🤣😂well then yes def go for the Botox, my best mate got some as part of nhs training & I def wasn't convinced, maybe it was cos the person was training! The words "wtf have you done?" Might have escaped my mouth! Paracetamol downed, & @whatwonder oil and kerosene smell still def there, the guy turned up at 7.15 this morning so there's clearly another whole day of work on it to do 🤦🏼‍♀️@bez91 not good on either headache crew or smell 😖

@whatwonder im only vaguely thinking about Xmas, we don't really do loads of presents in the family so I don't need to worry too much, it's DH's birthday first end of nov & I've bought some beeswax seals so that's a start for Xmas!

I'm at a school visit for DS this morning then this afternoon back at the hairdressers so they can try rectify their fuck up from last week Cos they actually burnt my scalp it's flaking 😠so I look like shit

@paintfairy I know! Great to see so many long time passengers get their bfps but there's a handful of us here an absolute age without so much as a squinter to show for our time and it just sucks! I've annoyed myself by looking at due dates too because we have a family event next year and this month would work out great, next ok, following month disastrous! So now I'm even more desperate than usual 😂 how are things with you? Has OH seen the error of his ways yet? I'm really on the fence about ivf, following yours and others journey...it just seems so tough and one sided!

As for me, I'm about halfway through the tww of cycle 22 (read TWENTY F**KING TWO) I've been trying to be more accepting the last few months that's it's just not meant to be and move on but this month I am broody as hell! I mean I'm fine, it is what it is but some months are just tougher than others I guess.

Well first day of half term for me today! Af due around Tuesday but feeling pretty periody today, but I have a meal tonight with old work friends and 2 do's tomorrow night so hope I don't start early!! I knew there was no chance of a BFP this time as I ovulated the Thursday and last chance we got to DTD was the Sunday before as OH went to Scotland that day! OH got a message yesterday from his gp to ring up and book an app for his SA results, so he has a phone app on Thursday, makes me think it isn't good news, but trying to keep positive!

@2020mission no, his workplace actually seem pretty useless. At mine they've removed everything from the kitchen to stop people sharing anything. Desks are blocked off if next to each other. And barely anyone is going in. At his- none of that. They also seem to sit at any desk as opposed to having their own and they have air con circulating! I agree it's not worth the risk if you are pregnant and have a choice. I wouldn't go either. 30 weeks! It's flown by!
@Minster2012 I think the ivf nurse was insinuating men were useless full stop. 🤭🤣 Are you up to date with MAFSA? I haven't watched last night's but I am otherwise. Its like watching children in the playground!

@larrythelizard menopause. Having felt what that is like the last few weeks- you would know if its happening! No energy on and off and the weird hotness that comes and goes. No sex drive. You would know trust me. 🤣
@whatwonder good luck today! And no I've thought zero about Christmas. I'll realise the day before that this is an issue. 🤭 Like @Minster2012 though my family doesn't go overboard. I've no idea what to get DH this year.
@Vil10 I think that's standard? Although we just collected ours as we originally said my dr had requested them. To less than a week.
@Manifestingbaby yeah tell me about it. Didn't even get a squinter when testing for the trigger. 🤦‍♀️🤣 I've spent so long worrying about dates in the past I've given up. If I get pregnant first go with ivf then actually its terrible timing with wise for due date. But delaying for that is pointless when nothing ever goes the right way anyway. 🤣 So I've stopped worrying about it. As for IVF - depends on your OH. Its difficult with covid because they can't even come in the waiting room. So they are excluded really anyway. He did watch all the educational videos with me that they sent. I suppose I could try to involve him more but I do just tend to get on with things and don't need my hand holding for the most part. That goes for most things. The drugs are a bit shit (maybe short protocol is easier) but the rest for me is similar to iui. Only you get an egg collection. People all make a massive deal out of it but actually you don't have to. I haven't even told anyone IRL and it just is what it is. I follow some forums and fb groups (never post) and some people make it into a massive part of their life. So it is what you make it for you? If that makes sense? I kind of emotionally detach myself. I'll find it hard come test day/2ww but this part i find very matter of fact.
As for DH I haven't said anything else to him and I'd calmed down by later. It'll likely get bought up again but I need to be calm to deal with it. 🤣

My throat feels like razorblades this morning. 🙈

Oh man cycle 22 @Manifestingbaby yeah it's not fun is it. I think the headaches are def pregnancy related I'm not sure if it's the progesterone or not. My scalp just looks like I'm auditioning for a head and shoulders advert, like I'm a dirty scuzza who has awful dandruff 🤪

@Vil10 def you stay positive, how has OH taken the gp appointment news though? He's worried right? Your social life makes me exhausted, does anyone else feel like that @Vil10 is so social and all I want to do is hunker up at home 🤣

@paintfairy I struggled with the long protocol drugs too, I think I also had headaches then so you are not alone and delaying it for you would have been pointless. Men are useless. I'm just watching last night's MAFS, it is playground. But great tv! You wait til last nights I'm loving what they've done 🤣

@paintfairy I hope so! I feel nervous😂 like if it is him that has the issue then what path do we take, how long will it all take? I just have so many questions buzzing around my head and OH is so so chilled, literally an "is what it is" kinda guy, says he knows he's gonna be told his results aren't good and says he doesn't wanna be faffing around waiting 3 months to do a re test😂 also from yesterday id also be pissed off if I was you, but I suppose it's all men, I always say to OH that I am more invested in this journey than he is and he doesn't really think of it whereas it's always in my mind, I think because all they have to do is throw a mix up us then wait for us to tell them if af has appeared, they don't fully understand that we do the temping, the foods, the juices, the opks, we're fucking warriors basixally

@Vil10 @Minster2012 no promises - I looked horrendous at the weekend - much older than my 35 years - so am seriously debating it. And may as well whilst I can't TTC!

@Vil10 it might just be a nice dr who's been through it before and wants to talk it through with him.

@Minster2012 you know what, he isn't, he's already reasoned with his results being bad even though I've said to him they might not be, so I think he's just expecting it and he's very a much "is what it is" kinda person, but I do think he's getting impatient with it all! Oh don't, I really want a chilled weekend, I can't for November because I just have 1 weekend that I have my cousins birthday on the Saturday and a christening the Sunday and then I have nothing else planned for the month and I'm so so excited to just chill!!

@larrythelizard I hope so, I think I'm more worried than OH, just because I don't want to go through the process of it all😂

one of my SIL's is the same @Vil10 they moved up from London & this month they are back in London for 3 weekends out of the 4 (costing a ridiculous amount of money) and the other weekend they are hosting ppl. I'm like 😱how do you do it!! Mind you, you are young with energy 🥴that's good he's still relatively chilled

@Vil10 throw a mix up - love it 😂 you're completely right though. They have very little to think about. My DH is also very much "it is what it is" guy and I just want to shake him. He has improved as I think the 3rd MC knocked him for 6 and he thought ok maybe it isn't what it bloody is. I love that after consecutive busy weekends when you can look forward to doing nothing!

@Minster2012 an Aga sounds very labour-some! When will he be finished? Finally got Samsung out to my freezer today after spending 4 hours sorting it last week on the phone with the clowns. It's only just over a year old, took an army of people to get it into the house into the tightest spot and the diagnosis is it's f*cked. I'd batch cooked loads for autumn when we're busy like casseroles, currys etc and thrown it all away (twice) they can fix it whilst we're on holiday - helpful 🙄 otherwise a new one.

@larrythelizard I hear people swearing by botox. I've never done anything like that but botox should be harmless enough if someone trustworthy and professional is doing it for you. Fillers on the other hand can be disastrous.

Sympathies to the headache club. My back went into spasm this morning and it ain't fun. I feel about 200 years old. I know I have to move to help it but moving is agony so I don't want to.

Also had really weird CM today and yesterday. Kinda disturbing hopefully nothing is wrong with me!

1I'm starting acupuncture tomorrow and am confident that it will solve all my problems - infertility, hormone problems, mental issues, everything.

scan went well!! baby (embyro? dinosaur?) is measuring around 8 weeks and had a good strong heartbeat (I didn't get to hear it though, just saw it on the screen and then they measure bpm) feeling very relieved and happy! thank you for all your well wishes, you ladies really are the best!

@Vil10 are you doing your SA through public or private? I think it's normal procedure for a doctor to go through the results, I wouldn't take that as a bad sign. But keeping my fingers crossed everything goes well!

@larrythelizard I have a few friends who have had botox recently and they're all pretty chuffed with the results, my advice would be to shop around until you find someone reputable who has actual medical qualifications!

@Manifestingbaby 22 cycles, woah. I don't think people realise what a toll TTC takes, it becomes all consuming! and I agree with other peeps, men - even supportive men who are trying their best - will never really understand what we put ourselves through month after month! hoping that you have a short ride on this bus!

@Somatronic I'm a big fan of acupuncture - I didn't end up trying it for fertility, but I've used it for back pain, mental health, period cramps, colds, general life, etc. it should help with your back pain!

Like it would be more devastating after going through it all than to just not try? I don't usually pay any heed to due dates at all but for some reason i decided to overthink it this month 🤦‍♀️

I have pcos aswell so I know they can be hit and miss

@MrsBiddy you get ewcm due to oestrogen surging - which it can do for a good 5 days before ovulation. If you have pcos then temping will be the way to confirm ovulation, the opks might be lying 😅

@paintfairy 100% I think most men are super useless. I was thinking of making mine do the injections just to force him to take an active role/make it more real for him. I wonder if I'll be able to implement this though! So you continue to take buserelin during stims? I had no idea!

@Juno231 I had no idea either! Suppose it makes sense. You are having an artificial cycle and if your body turned back on- where would it even be? And you can't spontaneously ovulate either. It seems some people drop to half the dose after starting stims but I haven't been told to. I double checked my protocol. And according to forums it seems I'm not the only one, so I'm guessing it's correct. So yeah- 3 injections a night!
And if I made DH do it I would probably get angry if he hurt me or got it wrong. 🤭
