Sorry to hear about your loss @McOrange you might find the first cycle after a chemical is a bit wonky so you may ovulate a bit later than you normally would so when working out when you normally ovulate I'd go from the data from the next cycle onwards. But by all means still use the opks this cycle so you know when to try catch that egg for this one!

@JonSnowsCloak I've had sickness and bfp by 9dpo before, and others when I've had a bfp I've had zero symptoms by then. Unfortunately ttc is just a headfuck game where anything goes and keeps you guessing till the last min. 😕

I'll probably be quite quiet over the next few days got a busy weekend ahead. DS turns 4 tomorrow (where has my baby gone, its very true the phrase with kids that the days are long but the years are short 😢). The house is in chaos as I've been so tired lately all I can do is come in from work and nap and being unable to multitask DH doesn't seem to be able to look after DS and stay on top of the housework (not like I haven't managed for years or anything) 🙄 So need to spend today getting the house back in order for family coming round only they're spread out all weekend so it's going to be a looooong weekend of too much peopling and not enough napping for my liking all with an over excited DS. I feel I need a nap just thinking about it! 😴

Ooh recap time! Been TTC first child since March last year, joined the bus July/August last year. Issues on both sides, so after some testing (and a minor prolactin scare) we've now been referred for IVF and are waiting for our first appointment.

Hi all, sorry haven't been on for a few days. I am thanking my lucky stars as for the last week Alice has been sleeping through from 1030-0500! We give her formula mostly now as I'm weaning off expressing. She still is so hungry during the day though and wants to feed about every 3 hours. The reflux is driving me mental. The meds she's been given she hates so we have to put it in her bottle. Not ideal but least she's getting it. We went to our first baby group yesterday and she loved it, she was so alert! We are off on our first holiday with nannie and grandad tomorrow as a family we can't wait. We are going to Cornwall which is about 6hrs journey so a bit nervous but I'm sure it will be fine 😅

I love all the recap stories, sometimes when you've been on here forever you forget! So mine....24 years old, OH 31, both trying for our first, I came off the pill end of January 2020, periods went back to normal in may, so ttc between 17-21 months, we were actively trying as soon as I came off the pill but with irregular periods for the first few months it was difficult. I've had initial fertility tests, and internal scan and all came back normal and confirmed ovulation, OH had his SA on Monday so hopefully get the results back on monday🤞🏼

@InkyPaper no i don't think they forgot as they never gave me any the time before either. I thing that was maybe an oversight but it happened again and different person.
@Minster2012 ffs. Yeah don't warn anyone will you? People! Still- there's a woman at work who preaches to everyone all the time what they should/shouldn't be doing and she really pisses me off with her high and mighty attitude. Then turns round last week and says her holiday could be ruined because of her daughter and covid and then basically was like, but I think we'll just go anyway. 🤬
@MegAnne83 I'm android too and could never get the app to function well, so I didn't know if it was just me. I still use the net version but yeah it's a pain trying to reply to too much.
@DKDK123 I never know how people manage to do housework anyway. I can't be arsed. 🤣 DH hates clutter and is always moving my stuff (which annoys me) but he seems to have no issue with dirt.
@Kirky658 the sleeping sounds amazing! Living the dream! I think many babies partly struggle with that because they are just hungry. I've not done a proper survey but the friends I have where they do sleep, the babies were on formula. I had one friend who point black refused to use it and still breast fed/expressed until the child was fully weaned and that child still does not sleep now. I literally could not do years and years of zero sleep. I've got a friend that's got 2 that have slept really well and I thought it must be because they are laid back or she's very lucky. But actually hers both had formula (for different reasons). Not that I think it's maybe the best way or anything, but it's something I noticed.....

@Vil10 dh swears I imagined it, cd 30, cycles usually around 24-26 days, .... enjoying my limbo atm, I love @Minster2012’s story too, such a wonderful lady, we are so lucky to have her

Oh forgot to add that I've been on this bus since may 2020, and met the most amazing ladies who have kept me going through all the friends pregnancies/births and just made me feel so much better about the shitty hand so many of us get dealt❤️

😂 embarrassing stories lol hmmm I think the worst was getting spunk in my eye and oh my gosh the pain! Then having to explain to everyone at work why/ how I got a red eye and it was not conjunctivitis 😬

I am flagging, the husband had cramp whilst dtd yesterday and he lost his mojo ☹️ had to hide my disappointment lol😢🥺
I try not to put too much pressure but I can't help but feel sad as it could be a waste of a month 😔 and we are both 35 and times ticking away ☹️

I think the smep idea is too much 😣 so I'm not doing that next month 😞 we'll just try 3-4days before suspected ovulation

@MrsBiddy I ovulated day 23 this month too. Had to have so much sex as a result. It's hard to maintain interest after a while! My cycle the previous month was 25 days so no idea why ovulation happened so late other than I have PCOS so every cycle is an adventure. I wonder now how many times I completely missed ovulation due to it being much earlier or later than I realised. OPKs are apparently dodgy for those of us with PCOS. Also LOL at the spunk story!

AIBU - I think I have my first one! 🤣

Right, my head is banging and I'm fed up of the headaches and hotness and feeling generally shite. And I'm not sure my mood is good. But.....
So - we have been wfh for forever. DH said he thought he'll have to go on the office soon. I kept hoping it would be after ivf. Obviously minimising risk of catching anything (particularly covid) in case it ruins everything. So when we discussed it before, I said that it would be better after, if we can delay it. I mean it's been over a year so what's a few more weeks? He doesn't want to tell them about ivf. So I said well if it came up, then can't you just say I've a medical procedure and need to isolate for 10 days before or something? Therefore would they mind if you left it until after that? And he was like yeah maybe.

Anyway- nothing ever got said until today. He was on the phone to his boss. Who said he wanted people to start going back in as from next week (he doesn't have to go every single day) and of course DH was like- oh yes that's fine. 🙄 I know not everyone has the option to avoid people, but we kind of do? So in my mind it makes sense to carry on doing so? Egg collection will be the week after next, so it's not like it's got another 2 months or anything? Not to mention he's already picked up this bloody supercold and bought it in. Would he be more bothered if it was costing him 5k out his own pocket? Who knows. He said its convenient for him to go next Wednesday (my 2nd scan).
So anyway- clearly I was not happy at this news. I know he can't come in for scans but the complete disinterest in what's happening is pissing me off. And him finding it inconvenient to work around me 'forever' (2 weeks). He couldn't even see what my issue was at all and had no idea why i was angry at all.

I think for me it's more that he shows no thought at all. Like- if he came down and said oh no the boss wants me to go in but I'm thinking about the situation and that's not ideal because of us etc. But it's like I don't even cross his mind? Arsehole. 🤬

@Juno231 see, I have calmed down now and thought maybe expecting someone not to go to work is unreasonable. And it would be, if they usually did. I guess it's just that we haven't been and to change it now (to me) is ludicrous. Yes - did the stims. God. It took ages. Mostly because I was so scared of getting it wrong (which would be avoided if someone spoke to you about it). I've got a piece of paper with my protocol on and all these bloody drugs. The menopur seems scary but it's really easy to mix. And there is a video on the website to watch. Although it didn't seem like the dose looked enough!
The ovaleap (there is a video too) seemed more complicated. I think it's easy when you know how. But the cartridge size i have wasn't the one in the video so it's slightly different. And when you inject it- the pen spins but you can't really see its gone in? Unlike the others which are the old fashioned way of doing it. Tonight will be much quicker because all the stuff is ready to go, rather than me having to work it out and put it together. My ovaleap is a different dose every other day though, just to keep things confusing. 🤣 One thing I will say is- the headaches are starting to get to me.....

@MrsBiddy oh yesss I've been there, I got a black eye though 😂 never let DH live it down (we were only about 18/19 at the time) SMEP is tough, don't be too hard on yourself and remove that pressure.

@paintfairy that is really annoying, can't he make an excuse for a couple of weeks like even using C as an excuse ie he has symptoms? You really don't want to be back at the beginning! @Kirky658
Not sure on the formula making babies sleep better, DD was formula fed from 3 months and nope always a terrible sleeper up most hours 😂 enjoy your holiday!

I have pcos too and the opks change colour every few days 😤

I thought it would help narrow ovulation down whilst using OvuSense aswell but obviously not lol

@paintfairy of course it makes sense to be angry - apart from anything you'd actually asked him not to and he completely disregarded it without talking to you. It's also not in isolation, much like mine your OH has shown zero interest/initiative so this is just another drop in an already full cup. We've got that appt on tues and OH never thought to read the big pack of IVF info they sent us - just doesn't interest him.

As for your stims, Christ that sounds complicated!! And I'm sorry about the headaches already starting... It's roughly two weeks of this isn't it?
