2WW anyone? Af due Friday

I am new to mums net. I am currently in my tww and losing hope again for this month. My af is due Friday the 24th. I have no symptoms really! Slight bruised feeling in sides of my boobs, and yesterday and sharp stabbing pains in my pelvic area. That's about it really. Just feel like af will show again and it's not happened again. Hi all! Sorry I joined this thread a couple of months back, but then went for some private fertility investigations after 13 months TTC so went quiet. Unfortunately didn't have the best news (a cyst is blocking my left ovary so I'm only ovulating half the time, and DH has low sperm morphology although his count is good.) It basically means our odds are massively reduced until the cyst is removed/resolved,.

However when I had my internal scan (Friday 14th) my right ovary looked good and had a follicle there which the consultant predicted was likely it may release an egg within the next few days. I then got a strong OPK positive on Saturday 15th, possibly ovulated on the 16th, so now 9DPO. My luteal phases are often really short so like 8 days, which is due to the lack of ovulation.

No real symptoms yet, but then I also don't have any AF symptoms which I normally do by this point. Is it silly of me to just have the tiniest bit of hope?? x

@ladylou17 I never know with this one. I’ve tried both and kind of just do what I fancy!

@Ladylou17 fingers crossed for you and for everyone next month 🤞🏻 my FW starts on the 31st apparently will be monitoring CM more this cycle decided not to start using ovulation tests until after our wedding in March to avoid any further stress! Personally for myself and my partner we DTD every other day or at least 3 times in that week otherwise its too much for us. I think everyday could be pushing it for you both but if you are both happy with that then I don't see the harm, it's what works best for you! I read a lot up about it a few weeks ago because I wasn't sure what was advised I think every other day was the most popular answer apparently gives the sperm time to regenerate? X

@Mama500 I think I will wait to Thurs/Fri as I'll be 11/12 DPO and then if AF hasn't arrived by then will test with a FRER. I've never gone longer than a 10 day luteal phase so I'm going to be sooo nervous tomorrow! x

Thank you @Mama500, @FlyOnTheWall89 and @Ladylou17! My spotting has stopped and I've had terrible diarrhoea (sorry!) for the past few days and I can't help but start to feel optimistic 😩

@Ladylou17 we dtd every day when we conceived in November and it became such a chore 😂 I personally now focus on a few days before ovulation, the day of and the day after.

Sorry the odds are against you @Janey3090 but good luck with this cycle! You're a day ahead of me ☺️

I tested this afternoon @Mama500 and it was negative 😂 but I've never had a bfp until 9dpo which is tomorrow, so I'm really hoping my temperature spikes again and that I get a hint of something! X

Thanks for all your comments- I think we will do every other day this coming FW and every day when we get static smiley. It's so hard to know what to do isn't it xx

@Ladylou17 I think we have done every combo of sex possible ... but we haven't done this: On another thread a lady had been trying for 2 years and went to see a fertility doctor who said for a 28 day cycle, dtd CD7, then nothing until 11, then 13 (which is day before ov), then 15 (incase you ovulate late). CD7 to expel all swimmers, then regenerate until 11. I think we might try that this month. You adjust by your cycle so my last cycle was 29 days so we would do CD8, then wait until CD12. This is much less than we would usually have sex. Most of the time, we have DTD every day as that suits us. It might feel odd not doing it as much, but I think I'm willing to try it at this point.

I took my ovulation test this morning and forgot to check it before I went to work - doh!

I'm nervous! I do feel a bit nauseous but I've not felt right for the past few days anyway.

9dpo @Ladylou17. I got a positive on this day with both my pregnancies so not feeling hopeful! But will see how my temp does in the morning before thinking about doing another test x
