Hya all

I am new to mums net. I am currently in my tww and losing hope again for this month. My af is due Friday the 24th. I have no symptoms really! Slight bruised feeling in sides of my boobs, and yesterday and sharp stabbing pains in my pelvic area. That's about it really. Just feel like af will show again and it's not happened again. This was my chart for this month as well and when we dtd

You were tagged at the beginning @rita83 but I don't think we have heard from you for a long time!

@FlyOnTheWall89 I haven't been tagged in this and cannot find where it is. This was only a message to get in touch with you all regarding my little boy x

Hello ladies long time I know, I wondered if any of you can see this message from myself. I could not find the other thread that had been created! Please get back to me if anyone gets this. I have a very sad story for all of you, just wanted to share my experiences from previous pregnancy x

Thank you both. It's difficult because I have such a short lp so I read that if that's the case, you need to have it done 7 days after ovulation. I was 8dpo. I think that's going to be one of my biggest issues here - a luteal phase problem which includes the progesterone too. I may have to ask for repeat bloods multiple times over the TWW to see how it changes from say 3dpo to 5 to 7 etc. You're right @FlyOnTheWall89, it's definitely the right time to do some investigations considering we're not going to be actively TTC over the next couple of months. Hope you're okay this evening xx

Hi @Cruz86 - which day do you think you had it on? It should be 6-8 days pre-period so if because of slightly unpredictable cycles you have the wrong day, that could be the reason. I would expect them to ask you to do another one. Sub 25 from my research seemed to be inconclusive but again, this is if it's taken on the 'right' day. I think it's worth having a follow up appointment. Optimal conditions for pregnancy are around 40 (according to fertility specialists - but absolutely not all those who achieve pregnancy have that I'm sure) but above 30 is deemed very normal. Hope you get some answers. Maybe these next few months might be the time to make some calls etc when you're less focussed on DTD.

Thanks for the support guys x

15 is on the lower side, did you take it on the right day? Sorry I know you probably did.
Only other thing is to go for a private appointment, I looked into it and I think it's around £600 for just the basic investigations. I think you are within your right to ask for a gynae appointment as they are border line @Cruz86 xx

@FlyOnTheWall89 I'm so sorry to hear that, hope you're doing as well as you can be right now. Be kind to yourself, we all know too well the toll this journey can take on us. Sending you strength!

@Cruz86 I fell pregnant the first time in March and that was the only month DH and I said we wouldn't try due to not wanting a December baby Grin people always say it happens when you stop 'trying' !

It was 15nmol which I think just about confirms I'd ovulated! Yes I've been doing bits of research this evening so I need to just gather it all together. I feel like I'll be fobbed off if I ask for progesterone without being pregnant though! X

What was it @Cruz86 what I would suggest is looking at the nice guidance for starting progesterone and bring that to your next gp appointment if you fit the criteria xx

Cruz86 · 27/01/2022 19:53

I had my progesterone results today and I think they're quite low for the point I was in in my cycle. Have no idea how I go about getting anything though because, of course, they're seen as 'normal', even though it's probably not enough/optimal to sustain a pregnancy x

Oh @FlyOnTheWall89 I'm so so sorry 😞 I can't imagine how you must be feeling right now. You knew deep down that something wasn't right so I'm glad you took the steps needed to find out. Please feel free to just vent/rage/virtually cry to us in here whenever you need to. You must be full of emotions right now. Thinking of you and sending lots of love and strength xxx

Hi guys - sorry for radio silence.

@Cruz86 sorry to read your BFN. Sucks. Hope everyone else is okay.

We got some pretty terrible results from the SA so I'm going to probably try to take some time off here as we look at next steps. I knew deep down there was an issue so I'm really pleased we have identified it now and not later. Perhaps with some time on some (very expensive) supplements and some private consultations, we might get the results up but we may not. Trying to stay optimistic but I suddenly feel like these are all such grown up problems and I think I feel my innocence and naivety about the lovely-having-a-baby part of my life has now been flattened and trampled on completely. I'll check back in every now and then and I'm keeping everything crossed for you all to get your BFP soon. Oh and please can we have another thread going... this one is nearing 1000 and I don't want to lose track of you all - big hugs xxx

@Cruz86 yes I know what you mean. After my mc my OH wanted to wait a month or two to start again I was so so sad about it. I just felt angry. Looking back now time did pass quickly it's just frustrating isn't it. Positive things though you'll be having your blood tests back so will have a bit more info and I'm sure all will be normal which will be reassuring 😘 xx

I know, me too @Ladylou17. But I guess he is being rational because he's a big part of the wedding and I think he's anxious that, either, he'll miss one or the other, or that we won't get the time we need in terms of settling in. And then Christmas would just be such an expensive time of the year. That doesn't help my sadness though xx

Unfortunately so! Although my OH is a bit apprehensive about trying this month and in March because of a close family wedding in November and then Christmas. So we may be taking a couple of months break 😞 x
