It’s been thirteen million years & Minster & the good time crew are still here…its September, autumn in full swing and we haven’t done too bad so far this month compared to previous months but I still think we are owed ladies.

Oh and we don’t just talk TTC, we’ll chat about anything. In fact that’s positively encouraged cos TTC can be bloody boring sometimes!

It costs an embarrassing life (or TTC) story for your ticket please then you can hop on board

Agency bus driver at the wheel.…

All aboard bus number 48

Plugging @minster2012 blog \\\___, we’ve had cancer, travels & ivf so need to get to the fun stuff, more ivf, surrogacy and more! #shamelessplug
minstermusings.co.uk for the blog that’s where the full stuff happens
& minstermusings on insta - some of our ladies have made special anonymous accounts so we can link up via me 🥰 so if Insta gets mentioned it’s there

If you want to sign up & get updates please do, please note your username if you comment shows up to others so maybe make it anonymous I won’t be offended 😂🤣(unless you are mean)

Oh god that does sound stressful @paintfairy but good I think? Will be good to get going on it all!

Vil10 · 23/09/2021 12:14

@Minster2012 I think I'm slowly running out of hope! Ohh that's amazing on the 3+ tests❤️

@larrythelizard that's good advice, I need to do that, I feel like I'm not stressing over it because I know it's a load of shit, feel like I'm over it now😂

@whatwonder my boobs are sore too but always are around this time so that doesn't mean anything for me! We can do this💪🏽

@InkyPaper isn't it hard to just completely forget about it!!

@Juno231 good luck with the exit interview girl x

@paintfairy wow that's so fast amazing!

Manifestingbaby · 23/09/2021 12:21

Sorry about af franklydear & somatronic 😢 doesn't get an easier.

@bez91 glad the scan went well 😃

I'm only half on this bus 😬 just passung time until repeat sa and next clinic appointment. Twiddles thumbs 🙃

DKDK123 · 23/09/2021 12:55

@larrythelizard yea sorry, still here just absolutely wiped out, been heading to bed as soon as DH comes home from work to take over DS, have a few hours nap then get up to finish my paperwork get my walk in then straight back to bed. Hoping the total exhaustion is a good sign 🤞 DS obviously doesn't know yet but he lay his head on my stomach today and said "Mummy, my little sister Emily is in your tummy!" 😲 Then he said "It's not just Emily, Robbie is inside too, they are twins, I can't wait to play with them!" 😲😲😲 Now with all the exhaustion I'm nervous his premonition is correct and there are 2 (twins run on both sides of the family)......tho if it is, does that mean I have to stick with the names he's chosen? 🤔😂

@bez91 glad to hear your scan went well tho what a scare in the beginning!

@kaylsd how cute is your OH what lovely perk me up gifts 🥰

@Minster2012 not so great on the shitty PJs to clean but def good news on the 3+ 😁 I got mine last night too so have agreed with DH to stop testing now and just wait for the 8 week scan. Feels like the longest wait in history. I caved and tried to get a 6 week one too yesterday but the only times they have available we have no one to look after DS so just going to have to hold out for the 8 week one. Still haven't arranged the booking appointment yet either. The optimism has somewhat rapidly diminished this week despite having the 3+, but it's just because I'm officially in the midst of the danger week where they all go wrong. Just need to reach next Friday and I might start to believe again 🙈

@vil10 keeping everything crossed for you that after the crap month you've had your symptoms are heading to something positive (literally)

Sorry to hear about AFs arrival @Franklydear Have you thought anymore about seeking help from your GP to investigate your irregular cycles even if you don't want their help with actual fertility investigations?

@whatwonder it definitely is a cruel trick of mother nature that the symptoms are the same. Hoping yours are for a good reason.

@juno231 glad you where honest, too many companies get away with crap because people are too scared to speak the truth. It won't help you now that you're leaving but it may help others in the future if they make changes.

becarefuloutthere · 23/09/2021 13:05

@DKDK123 @Minster2012 so pleased you both got your 3+ this is wonderful news!!
Not doing great at staying up to date but I'm rooting for you all! 😘

Kirky658 · 23/09/2021 13:44

@minster2012 I was so happy to see your 3+ ❤️

I have been for my postnatal check up today and officially been diagnosed with PND, so I'm on antidepressants to go alongside the counselling 😥

Minster2012 · 23/09/2021 14:26

@becarefuloutthere thank you so much lovely

@Kirky658 thank you, it may seem scary but a diagnosis and tablets could be the way to get better, you've asked for help which is a huge thing and you are on the road to recovery. Small steps xx

@DKDK123 omg yea I'm afraid Robbie & Emily it is!! That's so sweet, twins running in both sides!! Wow

@Juno231 give em hell!! I wish more ppl were honest in their exit interviews, it might try to make workplaces better. Plus I'm astounded that as an accountant when working in the office before you didn't have to iron?? When I worked in an office I found half stuff that could be washed then worn but def not trousers 🤣

@Manifestingbaby what supplements did you decide on in the end? How is DH? (And you!)

Not letting you run out of hope @Vil10

@InkyPaper do you have a timescale on your treatment for once the results come back? Even a loose one? Will look into the LOL dolls thank you!

@bez91 has it sunk in a bit more yet? Do you feel any less anxious? A bit excited? Has that come?

@paintfairy god that did sound stressful! Hopefully the couple of days away in October won't matter but def ask, 9 days to start! Brilliant! 🙌🏻not so good on more potential issues but we can overcome 🤞🏻

@2020mission if you iron children's clothes I may have to pretend I don't know you!! Never ironed anything of DSs! But he doesn't wear shirts or jeans

@whatwonder ahhhh another person coming to the sticky end of TWW, honestly when I first got my periods back I could have sworn I was pregnant every month. I was throwing up & having so many cramps I said to DH "how the hell do women do this every month?!!" Hated it but it seemed to settle. Also, after my MC I had a cycle of 9day LP, then it went to 13, so it's not the end

@Somatronic how many times are you doing the letrozole before moving onto something else? Oh and if you see that woman from yesterday, please slap her 🤪and blame hormones!

@Franklydear Glad you relaxed a bit this morning, I also think maybe worth looking into the cycles a bit?

@larrythelizard ive not really got an idea what she's into, but I asked my friend (her mum) what she wants and was just told "she says she wants girls things, nothing boy" errrr thanks for that 🤣

Lexber · 23/09/2021 15:07

Good luck @Juno231 with the exit interview you are doing the right thing, sometimes we have to be brutally honest to help others in the future - if they listen!!

Wow @paintfairy that sound promising! Xx

@Minster2012 what this iron you speak of?!?

Hugs @Franklydear for both cold and AF, hope you had a relaxing Netflix and sofa morning and work isn't too bad this afternoon for you.
@Somatronic hugs too xxx

That 3+ is amazing @Minster2012
And so happy for the update @bez91 my heart was in my mouth at the first part!! I've been following you both on Instagram praying for the good news!

How are you doing in the sand @DKDK123 ? Ok I read further and saw the update... holy shit! Wow imagine if your LO was right?!

Staying positive for more BFP this month - who is in the 2WW?

@Kirky658 you are amazing, you will look back on this time and see what a wonderful mum you are and to cope so well with PND makes you all the more amazing - you are now on the path to feeling better. Asking for help is the hardest part but you did it and now there is light at the end of the tunnel xxxx

Little update from me - a little quiet as sickness has taken over alongside exhaustion 😕 6+5 today and ended up at the drs. I'm borderline dehydrated and have been put on anti sickness medication to try and help as I'm struggle to eat and drink now and when I do I feel so ill and I'm now vomiting much more too. Add to that a water infection because I'm not drinking enough. Yay! Basically been put on rest for the next few days so no work and lots of tv and sleep to try and get on top of it all or I will be admitted to hospital next week for an IV fluid drip... I'm just trying to tell myself this is all positive for the baby as something good is happening inside to make me feel this ill! And it's only short term...

Tomorrow is a new day! And I know how lucky I am to be here xx

Franklydear · 23/09/2021 17:23

@DKDK123 i think I need to, don't I? This cycles are crazy different, also yes, names picked, but he's chosen well I think
@Juno231 good on you, I normally get the day off when bossboy's boss comes, I have no filter and he knows it
@Minster2012 I don't iron my office trousers, I have to with D's trousers and shirts, I do it the night before and hang, I'm afraid in the morning would be fuck it
@Lexber hugs to you too, that's so hard
@Kirky658 anything that helps is good, you are doing great and we are here to hear all about it

Work wasn't too bad, bossboy is even being nice, which only feels me with worry naturally, let's see what tomorrow brings

bez91 · 23/09/2021 17:44

@Minster2012 not really 🙈 still no excitement or happiness going on just a bit more positivity 🙌🏼

@Kirky658 glad you got a diagnosis and the maternity team seem to have been on it. I had PND after having my daughter, it was more so that we had the most stressful year in the lead up to her arrival. Every woman role model in my family died and weirdly enough a lot of that grief was put on hold until her arrival. You're doing an awesome job at being mummy and you too. My inbox is always open ❤️

@DKDK123 woahhh that's weird (and scary)

Sorry you're feeling shitty @Lexber look after yourself. Hopefully the anti sickness kicks in and you start feeling more human again!

Definitely a good idea about getting onto the GP @Franklydear even if only about your cycles! Do it 😊

@Juno231 hope the more senior person took it well 😬

InkyPaper · 23/09/2021 18:26

@Kirky658 I'm glad you're getting the help you need ❤️ you've been through a lot ❤️

@Minster2012 no, we weren't given any timeline beyond waiting 10 weeks for the results and then the clinic would be in touch (in my area you get transferred from the hospital to a private clinic when you need IVF).

@DKDK123 at least he picked good names! I know someone who tried to get their parents to name their new baby sister IKEA or Hammy the Hamster when they were little 😂

@Lexber oh bless ya! Hope you feel better soon ❤️

DKDK123 · 23/09/2021 19:42

Just had some spotting 😭 the only thing helping me hold it together is did a test and it's still this blazing positive whereas usually they're fading when the spotting starts. Away to go stick my head right firmly back in that sand and not ever go to the toilet so I can't see if it turns to full on bleeding or not 🙈

Shackets from yesteryear, baltic crotches ❄️ and lots of ostriches 🐦 TTC bus 48
Franklydear · 23/09/2021 20:07

@DKDK123 here, what's happening? hugs your way

Minster2012 · 23/09/2021 20:44

@DKDK123 ostriches unite!! It's nothing. You got this. It's just Emily or Robbie making themselves comfy ❤️🤞🏻

@clolo how you feeling ahead of tomorrow's transfer?? Do you know what time it is? Got everything crossed for you xxx

@Lexber I hope the tablets give you respite, must be horrible

@Franklydear at 5am you don't have time to do anything, let alone iron!

Somatronic · 23/09/2021 21:23

@dkdk123 hopefully it's nothing bad, thinking of you.

@Minster2012 so I'm down for 3 months of treatment with letrozole but I got an appointment letter from the consultant for next spring so I think that might mean they'll offer me 3 more months and then I see the consultant again. No point in seeing her again really because letrozole/clomid and follicle tracking is all the Irish health service offers for free so I'm on my own after this. I guess I'll have to see a private consultant again and look at private options, IUI maybe and IVF if they think it'll help.

2020mission · 23/09/2021 21:28

@DKDK123 how far along are you? Hopefully it's nothing. I had light bleeding and spotting for 4 days around week 7 and all was ok. It's not bad news all the time 🤞

feliznavidad2 · 23/09/2021 21:34

Hope you're ok as you can be @DKDK123 x sending a handhold

paintfairy · 23/09/2021 21:56

Quick check in from my horse trailer. 🤣
@InkyPaper I think once you get your tests back and they can move forwards, it'll be fast for you. He basically said with my age and unpredictable sperm, they just don't leave anything to chance. And you get one shot at the end of the day. Unless you want to pay to try again....
@DKDK123 spotting is normal for many people. Don't panic! I know it must be hard though.
@Lexber the sickness doesn't sound fun at all. 😔

DKDK123 · 24/09/2021 04:55

Thank you for all your words of reassurance ladies, I know that spotting is really common in early pregnancy, but for me spotting had always led to a loss in the following few days so to say I'm bricking it is an understatement, I really had a gut feeling that this was going to be the one to make it! Only 5 weeks so EPU won't do anything unless it's 6 weeks and the 5 weeks plus point is the point mine all decide they're not progressing past. The only glimmer of hope I have are that the tests are still strong and usually I can start to see them getting fainter by now. Some spotting again just now but still no full scale bleeding. Legs tightly crossed and hope for the best 🤞

bez91 · 24/09/2021 05:53

Thinking of you @DKDK123 rest up and take it easy for a few days 💕

OP posts:
larrythelizard · 24/09/2021 06:35

Bloody hell @Lexber sounds horrible. Definitely take the medication offered!

I've heard it can take 4 weeks or so for anti-depressants to kick in @Kirky658 - you're strong and brave for speaking up that you didn't feel right.

Definitely go to talk to the GP @Franklydear

Definitely don't ever go to the toilet @DKDK123...on a serious note sending love and sticky vibes 🦁 I love how your DS KNOWS. And they're better names than they could have been, I think I'd be calling a child rubble if left to my DS!

Good luck today @clolo!!

Haiyaa · 24/09/2021 06:38

Oh that must be a worry @DKDK123, but hopefully just normal. Maybe take a few days to rest up? Could you get a private scan? They might be able to see something by now.

DKDK123 · 24/09/2021 07:29

@larrythelizard I let DS name the guinea pigs and they're Chase and Rubble 😂 Don't know where he's pulled Emily and Robbie from, infact Robbies the name of a boy in nursery that he doesn't get on with so why he came out with that name is anyone's guess 😂

@Haiyaa I have a private scan booked for 8 weeks (all the slots were going fast so had to book up in advance). Tried to get one for 6 weeks the other day but the only slots they had left were times we couldn't find anyone to watch DS. However if things can just hang on for one more week till I reach the 6 week mark if I still have spotting then I may be able to get the EPU to do a scan given the history. It's like everything ttc tho, even once you've managed its all still a nerve wracking, frustrating waiting game isn't it 🙈

Minster2012 · 24/09/2021 07:32

Oh @DKDK123 I'm so frustrated with your EPU,
mine scanned me earlier in the year at 5 weeks, I don't understand why they won't? 😩😔really hope it tails off. Simba is here to stay 🤞🏻

@clolo todays the day!! 🙌🏻🙌🏻then when are you off on holiday?!

DH is becoming a sex pest 😬trying to fend him off!

DKDK123 · 24/09/2021 08:02

@Minster2012 when everything's all over I'm going to make, a not complaint as such more of a suggestions on how to improve especially with things like the language used across the board as the amount of times its felt so dismissive being told things like it's 'just' a biochemical pregnancy. Yes to them they may deal with loads of them day in and day out and it's just some failed cells to them but to the women they're dealing with from the min those 2 lines are seen those cells are her baby. I think they've a lot of training to do on tact, I'm sure they're perfectly caring after the 6 weeks but before then it all feels rather cold and dismissive.

DH is a bit of the same as hes been put on a sex ban too since I found out. But he was satisfied with a BJ the other night however he only got one if I got a relaxing massage first, there's no way he's getting away with being the only one getting something 😂
