Hope everyone's OK 😊 apologies for being crap recently - I managed to catch a bad cold (not covid thankfully) that took me out for almost a week, then I was away for my wedding anniversary. So yeah, poor effort from my side!

@dmb91 6 months wait time is horrible!! Is that to get you to the full year before they'll do a fertility referral or something?

@larrythelizard sounds like you're being a bit hard on yourself - haven't you only recently started at your new place? It always takes a bit of time to settle in a smash it ❤️ fingers crossed the finance planning works out how you want it to 🤞

@Vil10 oh bless him! 7 days is a relatively quick turnaround though, so it's good you won't have to wait too long to find out. You are allowed to feel bad about things - just because someone has it worse than you doesn't mean you're not allowed to feel sad about what you're going through. It's good to try and think positively but it's also not a bad thing to feel your feelings for a while. It's super hard when it feels like the world is getting everything you want. Be kind to yourself ❤️

@Franklydear DS has been doing amazing, I've been following his progress and it's made me smile so much!! He is amazing- you are amazing!! We had a first parent meeting last week (my mum had to go for me as I was too ill) and DD is settling In well with lessons and even the school work but there are concerns with another child and some issues - i need to contact the school at some point to speak to the teacher when I can as that's her ASD social issues and she's been telling me what's happening and the girl mentioned isn't such a bloody angel! So they could do with supporting her social issues and helping her gain social confidence and understanding rather than "just tell them to stay apart" she kind of won't understand that?! 🤦🏽‍♀️🤣

(((Hugs)))) @Vil10 it's ok to feel that way, it's so hard when you want it so much and it feels like everyone around you is and some don't always want it as much 😕

Little update from me hence why I've been so quiet. While I've been trying to be grateful it's been a really difficult few weeks. Coming to a head Friday when I was so ill I couldn't get out of bed unless it was to be violently sick 😕 I was so exhausted and my thought, chest, stomach hurt from it. I was on 2 different types of anti sickness medication but I think the top up one May ah e actually been making me worse as since changing into them I noticed I was getting worse gradually so decided Saturday to only take the main one twice a day and Altho I have felt sick I've not actually been sick for 2 days...!! Which is amazing after the last few weeks! I've been off work sick 2 weeks. Trying to work today but knackered already!!
10+2 weeks today so fingers crossed it's on its way out now... scan booked for 4/10 - excited but scared too as we haven't had an early scan so no idea what's going off in there, just been assuming with all the sickness things are going well!
I can't fasten my jeans anymore, I have a pot belly already!! Hoping it's only 1 in there... 🤣🤣

@larrythelizard I'm sure you're doing great at work. It's tough when you've not been there long and don't feel like you've got a grip of things but you'll get there 💪🏼 hope the sums work in your favour tonight! What was the maternity policy! How long do you need to be there for their maternity pay? I think you may have already mentioned

@Vil10 that's good on result timeframe. Your DH ☹️ definitely what @InkyPaper you can't compare yourself to others like that and think you shouldn't feel that way, your feelings are completely valid ❤️

We are currently away with the dog in Yorkshire. Lovely day yesterday. A bit grey today but thankfully avoided any rain!

@paintfairy I've just counted it up and it has now been 11 weeks 🙃 the clinic says it's now got a week's waiting time, so I don't know if I should call or email tomorrow to try and find out what's happening or if I wait a bit longer?! 🙈 Hope you have a lovely time in Yorkshire!

@lucyrp sounds like some lovely family time away. Fresh sea air is definitely good for knocking them out, DS always sleeps way better when he's been down visiting my mum as they're beside the water.

@MegAnne83 welcome to the bus, your story gave me a good chuckle, if that's only cycle 2 I'd hate to see the symptoms you 'spot' further down the line. 😂

Sorry to hear you're having a crappy day @larrythelizard. Hope the number crunching goes well and you work out you can start sooner than expected.

@vil10 aww bless your OH. I hope his results come back ok, tho in saying that sometimes you wish these tests would throw up a problem as at least you can work towards fixing it. It is 100% ok to feel greatful for what you've got AND feel like the world has handed you a shit hand with ttc at the same time. I think those who haven't been through fertility problems greatly underestimate the emotional toll it takes each month. Hang on in there.

@Lexber severe morning sickness is not fun at all, sounds like you've had a right rough time of it. Hopefully now you've tweaked the meds it gets easier and hopefully as you're nearing the 12 week mark it'll start to naturally settle too.

I have a scan booked in on Friday, I'll be 7+5. I've had some light spotting that comes and goes so trying my best not to freak out about that. Also feel like some days I don't feel pregnant at all whereas others I get queasy even at the sight of food. So who knows, nothing more I can do than just wait and see!

sorry I feel like I've missed a lot of stuff, I've been trying to limit my time on MN and the internet in general to make sure I don't go down any dr google rabbit holes! sending love to you all xx

So I had my midwives appointment today, rather long due to my extensive medical history. She's so lovely I'm pleased to finally meet her after speaking to her twice before but never making the booking appointment due to MCs, she was so sweet after them phoning me to check I was ok.

@Franklydear for sure, was lovely as we don't see BIL that often. Certainly not in his own place anyway

@Minster2012 we are on the coast. Port Mulgrave. I've got my baseline scan Wednesday- so I'll know then!

@Minster2012 I know I should go to the endocrinologist but I'm feeling quite depressed this week so I cancelled the appointment. I don't know what's up. I feel so tired and down. I'd love to stay in bed for a few days. I'll try to take a few days off next week (it's the only week between September and Christmas that I can take holidays). My boss will probably object and if she does I'll see if I can get a sick note. TTC is much more wearing than I thought it would be and nobody understands or cares. I am so frustrated.

@dmb91 if you can I'd recommend going private just to get on Metformin if you can? Likewise you could try going back to your practice and ask to have pcos investigations/Metformin prescription for health reasons rather than citing fertility as they're much more likely to do it then.

@lexber Christ that sounds atrocious!! Bonkers that one of the meds might have been contributing to it as well. A bit like when you take imodium and realise a side effect of it is diarrhea 🤣

So I rang the clinic this morning and the very nice lady on reception told me they were still chasing results from the hospital. Apparently one of the team was chasing it yesterday so, she's emailed them to give me a ring to update me on what's happening.

Why is nothing straightforward? 😂

@InkyPaper it gets worse, trust me. 🤣 But at least they are on it. Useless bloody hospital!
