It’s been thirteen million years & Minster & the good time crew are still here…its September, autumn in full swing and we haven’t done too bad so far this month compared to previous months but I still think we are owed ladies.

Oh and we don’t just talk TTC, we’ll chat about anything. In fact that’s positively encouraged cos TTC can be bloody boring sometimes!

@DKDK123 I feel you there, it’s terrifying, I took steroids and antibiotics on the tww of my loss, fingers crossed for you both being ok, but doc is right, you need them
On the accidents, we had so many bruises, dh always said that if an accident happened, the hospital would call social services

Ah OK! Interesting. And I think it turns off the early hormones so maybe it doesn't affect the LP type hormones?

@Minster2012 yes I dared book it last week so that's on the 12th October so I'll be 9 weeks if I make it. God that sounds tough for your business, hope the retention works without massively putting you out of pocket!

@DKDK123 oh no did he have to have any dental work done? Quite the majority of the parents at DDs nursery are uptight, silver spoon people so I think that's why before they knew me they always anticipated that I'm going to be unreasonable. Ahh that's tough. The doctor is right though and in the main the reason why medication isn't safe during pregnancy is because a trial has never been run on pregnant woman. Hope it clears it straight up for you!

@DKDK123 have a look on BUMPS website - lots of drugs drs say aren't recommended are actually allowed! X

@Juno231 and that's very exciting about your IVF appointment being so close! A good bonking always brings the endorphins doesn't it?!

Had my private consultation with endo/fertility consultant this eve, he was v helpful, basically said need to check my ovarian reserve as if it's poor, it may be worth freezing some eggs if going to have surgery on my endo cyst. But equally if the ovarian reserve is good, surgery may be advisable if it's grown/not rectified itself. He said to book an AMH blood test and a private fertility USS at the end of Oct.

Has anyone used Medichecks for a blood test? It's the cheapest I can find with decent reviews.

@Juno231 yes to Machu Pichu. Did a lush drive in Nevada/Arizona/California a few years ago which was great. I want to do a summer rockies trip hunting bears (from a distance). Also I was pregnant when I went to SA so want to go back and do the vineyards! Oh man now I'm dreaming of holidays, the issue is as much annual leave/covid as well as the child!

@Somatronic I wouldn’t worry too much about grapefruit (who told you it was a problem?) it’s not listed in the usual reference sources as an interaction. Perhaps due to its inhibition of the CYP3A4 but if anything that would increase the letrozole in your system. Sometimes the interaction with grapefruit is overestimated for example it is well known to interact with atorvastatin, but you would need to be drinking 1-1.5 litres at a time to see an effect. I don’t think anyone can tolerate that much ass juice 😂

@DKDK123 I second the use of the BUMPS site, excellent research based advice and there isn’t anything screaming out as something to be worried about for systemic corticosteroids, and an unwell mama isn’t good for baby either so be kind to yourself (although your GP could have worded it a bit better!).

@DKDK123 sorry your feeling so unwell. Doctor sounds a bit blunt! I know these things have to be done on a risk/benefit analysis but some gentler wording wouldn't go astray! Agree with bez, most meds not recommended in pregnancy are due to not being able to prove safety rather than proof of harm. Hope you are ok x

Just read one of those 'first month trying, having weird pains' ones...thought 🙄 here we go, super fertile bitch falls pregnant first month trying....turns out the poor girl had appendicitis 😅 found the conclusion oddly refreshing, how mean am I 🤣

Hey ladies!! Sorry I've been shit these last few days, I was rough Sunday then we went out for a lovely pub meal then af got me hard yesterday! I had such an awful dream on Sunday night then woke up with awful period pains and couldn't get back to sleep then started heavy in the morning, usually I'm in pain all day but the pain only lasted a few hours so I'm happy about that!

Also Thankyou all so much for the supportive messages about the constantly conveyor belt of pregnant friends!!

So next week will be 10 weeks since DH had his blood tests done, so I'm hoping the IVF clinic will either call that week or the week after to give us our first appointment 🙏
