Hi everyone, it’s my first post on mumsnet, I spent a LOT of time reading through these threads when ttc my son and they helped so much.

Now I’m back ttc my second and it is only our second cycle and I am already much more desperate for it to happen than I was the first time around with my son 3 years a go.

I think it’s because it took us 10 cycles to conceive my son and I’m already heartbroken over it potentially taking that long (or longer) this time around.

Anybody else out there ttc their second baby and feeling the same anxiety? I swear I drove myself mad last cycle, it’s no wonder it happened really, I was borderline insane with googling, symptom spotting and even poas as early as 4dpo

@Kiaa Ergh, indents were created by the devil 😩 No AF is a good sign though. Any more updates?

I’m about to hit my fertile window for this cycle. Have been tracking BBT every morning in hope it can tell me something 😂🤷🏻‍♀️

Like you say, no need to be down just yet as it’s only your first cycle trying. Fingers crossed it’s cycle two for the both of us 🤞🏻

@has30 unfortunately Af finally arrived 4 days late so onto the 7th cycle we go

@Kiaa sorry to hear that. What a tease AF is coming 4 days late! I just finished AF yesterday so back to the start. On holiday soon so I keep telling myself this month I'll just take it easy and not track too much... I know I still will though!!!

Hi ladies, not been on for a while. I'm 41 and stopped trying so much.
However, picking brains and thoughts before I go into overdrive.... went on holiday and it was around the time of ovulation. I'm on CD26 today now and have started bleeding lightly. My cycle is usually between 29 to 34 days. I'm wondering if AF is just early or if it could be an implantation bleed.... that would be so unexpected.
What other signs should I look for at implantation?

@dobzyj what colour is the blood? They say implantation is either pink or brown and that AF is red. I know with my first it was a pink but only a few spots, but obviously everyone is different!

@has30 it's pink at the moment not red. My AF is usually dark and this is light. But it's heavier than a spot but not as heavy as AF. If it gets heavier I know it's AF but if it stays like this I'm unsure. It's not heavy enough to use anything but it's when I wipe it's very obvious. I feel odd because usually the week before AF I get sore boobs etc and weepy don't know I'm coming on but this time I haven't. Confused

Hi ladies! May I join?! Feeling AF is imminent but in the same boat - TTC baby 2 and feeling so much more desperate. Cycles all over the shop and we conceived first go last time. Scared it won’t happen this time and surrounded by antenatal friends pregnant with second!

Aww everyone is different I know everyone says the 2nd takes longer then the 1st just have to stay positive 🙌
What cycle number are you on ? How are you tracking ovulation?

@dobzyj it's just so difficult to tell isn't it! I just guess the only way is time! If it was implantation bleeding would a test be positive yet? I've no idea...

Cycle two. Only two. Goodness knows how ill be if we get to 10+!!

I’m using every single piece of willpower not to go test. I’m due on Sunday according to the app. But that’ll be day 33!

I’m using natural cycles. Although I get very distinct ovulation pain so I’m lucky there I guess!

My cycles are long and unpredictable though.
I’m convinced I feel like I’m due on. Funny tummy pains (not a pain not a cramp) slightly tender boobs.

I remember last time feeling like I had absolutely no pre period symptoms in the run up to AF being due.

Ok I caved. Not pregnant.

Feeling really down.
So silly really.

@WingingIt101 if you're due on Sunday it may be possible it's just a little early still? When did you get a positive with your first? I didn't get a positive till I was 3 days late.
It's awful isn't it all the symptom spotting and the comparing to how you felt with your first.

Ahh @has30 with number one I had soooo much restraint. Waited til the day I was due on and having no other symptoms tested and got bfp

My cycle is just so disrupted. Longer, ovulation day all over the place.

I’ve been feeling due on but then they are similar symptoms to implantation so who flippin knows!!

@WingingIt101 I was exactly the same as you with number one. I never tested early and the month we conceived I waited until I was at least two days late before testing!! 😂 Last cycle however (which was our first ttc #2) I tested from 4dpo 🥴 Embarrassing 😂

Quick update, I’m due to ovulate tomorrow or the next day so praying we catch it this month 🤞🏻 good luck to everybody else and I’m sorry for those who got AF last cycle. Can’t believe I’m already about to be in that crazy tww again!!

Hi @dobzyj! I had the same happen to me last cycle. My periods are pretty much bang on 28/29 days and for some reason last cycle I started spotting from day 26!!! I never spot either, it usually happens full flow almost immediately! It was of course just AF showing early. I hope it means something different for you though

Hi everyone!
We are TTC #2, DD is 14 months. I have PCOS so it’s so difficult tracking ovulation, some cycles are over 50 days long 😞 I think I am ovulating in the next day or so though, fingers crossed!!!
Then it’ll be the dreaded TWW, will be good to have this thread to keep me sane with people who understand the stress!

Sorry to hear , maybe just wait to retest in a few days . I'm always avoiding taking pregnant test because of the disappointment:(
