Hi everyone, it’s my first post on mumsnet, I spent a LOT of time reading through these threads when ttc my son and they helped so much.

Now I’m back ttc my second and it is only our second cycle and I am already much more desperate for it to happen than I was the first time around with my son 3 years a go.

I think it’s because it took us 10 cycles to conceive my son and I’m already heartbroken over it potentially taking that long (or longer) this time around.

Anybody else out there ttc their second baby and feeling the same anxiety? I swear I drove myself mad last cycle, it’s no wonder it happened really, I was borderline insane with googling, symptom spotting and even poas as early as 4dpo

@L0ts I'm so sorry 😞 it's so hard not to test, and it's just so hard when you get some hope and then it goes away.

Just have to wait for AF now. Is it usually late with a CP does anybody know?

@L0ts I had a chemical the month before I conceived my DS. I believe it came a day or two late, but nothing too out of the ordinary.

@L0ts I'm so sorry to hear this. It must be so disappointing to see the negative tests. Let's hope AF doesn't take too long to come around and you can start prepping again for next month.

AF arrived here this morning after what I thought was such a promising looking chart!
Then my temp dropped right down this morning and here she is. I’m taking it as a good sign that my body did everything it was supposed to do, and despite my PCOS it actually looks quite good.

Onto next month! 🤞🏻

Hi guys! Just keeping this updated. I expected AF any day from yesterday and she’s still a no show. Haven’t tested again as I can’t bare the heartache, would rather see AF arrive and get straight back in to a fresh cycle.

Still have all the aches and niggles that I’ve been having, so a little confused tbh. Last night it was a very prominent ache on the right hand side of my pelvis quite low down, can’t describe it any better than that. Felt like I’d been repeatedly prodded in that spot. God knows what my body is doing.

Sorry you got AF @Dav87 😩 It’s a good way of looking at it though! You know for sure you ovulated after looking at your chart and AF arrived on time so I would see both of those as positives. Fingers crossed for the next cycle 🤞🏻

One week till AF is due. Was all chilled about it and now I'm starting to think how soon can I test!! Every month I do this to myself haha!!

Going to write it out here... I shall not test till next Sunday! Let's see if I can last!

Hi ladies, am also TTC #2. Just started Cycle #7 after early CP and MC. I’m hoping to have a hycosy and a progesterone test this month.

I've felt so sick past few days my app changed my date saying I'm 4dpos this 2ww already driving me crazy 😂

A few months ago I tested early and the BFN hit me so hard and I was so upset, and then had to wait another few days for my period which felt really tough as I was desperate for a new cycle of that one had failed, and the whole thing was so brutal that I wrote a note to myself basically saying don't test early again, wait for your period (obviously in more words because I wanted to make sure future me would take the advice!). Every month since then, when I'm tempted to test early, I look at that note and I don't test. Might not work for everyone but it really helps me remember the heartbreak of a BFN, which for me is much worse than a new cycle starting.

Thank you. This really is a brilliant idea. I totally agree I'd rather see AF than a BFN. I may give this a go!

Hello! Looks like cycle 12 was the winner. Posting two tests. From 10DPO and from 15DPO.

No denying. So hopefully it sticks.

Just wanted to share because there were 2 things I did different this time around:
Ovulation yoga every day from period to LH peak. I noticed my ovulation was day 16-17, and when I did this yoga it moved to day 12. Wild.

Preseed. First time trying it.

As an update for myself.. Still no AF. She is now 2/3 days late. I’m baffled.

@L0ts how many negative tests did you get? Is it possible for a faulty batch? Did you change brand and they just don't pick up as early? I'm not really very good in knowing much about tests. Maybe wait another day or two and test again??

Which days did you DTD?

@birdbybird since it was our 12th month trying, honestly, we got lazy. We did it two days before ovulation and day of ovulation.

@has30 I have tested with frer and this morning a clear blue.. All negative.

I suspect when looking at my BBT chart that I ovulated four days later than I originally thought (at the time I just assumed a delayed temp rise) which I’m guessing could make AF late? Especially if a chemical is involved too. It’s now been 3/4 days.

Is it OK if I jump on this thread? Took me 14 months TTC for #1 who is now 18 months. Hoping it will be faster this time!😂

I’ve started using the clear blue ovulation sticks and my app expected me to ovulate on Saturday but I got a surprise smiley face on the Lh test this morning - dtd last night and now shuffling diaries to make sure DH and I have some opportunities over the next two days (who says romance is dead 😂)
