Hi everyone, it’s my first post on mumsnet, I spent a LOT of time reading through these threads when ttc my son and they helped so much.

Now I’m back ttc my second and it is only our second cycle and I am already much more desperate for it to happen than I was the first time around with my son 3 years a go.

I think it’s because it took us 10 cycles to conceive my son and I’m already heartbroken over it potentially taking that long (or longer) this time around.

Anybody else out there ttc their second baby and feeling the same anxiety? I swear I drove myself mad last cycle, it’s no wonder it happened really, I was borderline insane with googling, symptom spotting and even poas as early as 4dpo

Congrats to those who are showing us the positive tests! So good to see!
We are TTC #2, our little girl turned 3 yesterday. We started trying last year, had an early loss on cycle 3 and had made a decision to stop. We were already on the fence about it because of a very traumatic birth with our little girl but we can see how much we want her to have a sibling so we've started trying again, currently on cycle 2. Were trying to keep things a bit more casual and less stress this time around, so no tracking, no apps or anything. I've got the general idea of where in the cycle I am but I just feel less stress may help the process!

Hi MamaS! Pretty much the same as me in terms of daughter’s age and cycle 2…!
AF has turned up, so onto cycle 2 💪🏻
Going to use pre-seed this cycle as my episiotomy scar is stinging during sex and I figured a fertility lube can only help in all aspects lol!
Fertile week starts Monday, my rough plan is sex the day after my period stops, then again at CD9, 11 and 12 (usually ovulate CD12) and once again for luck on CD14. So a sort of personalised version of SMEP.

@Organictangerine Sorry af showed! Pre seed sounds like a good plan, can only help things like you say! We used pre seed the cycle before we conceived and the cycle of conceiving so who knows if it worked or not?

Period is officially 2 days late today and I got my first ever so slight dye stealer so I’m feeling positive ☺️❤️ I’m only 3 weeks and 6 days due to ovulating earlier this cycle!

I'm on CD19 today, my last cycle was 33 days but I would usually be 28, I had recently changed birth control pill and I think it messed with my cycle a bit! Hoping to be a bit more regular going forward. I believe I ovulated a few days ago but that's just going off body and CF.

@Izzyboo1234 I'm okay thank you 😊 just waiting for my DD to give up and go to sleep 😂 she's constantly using the 'i need a wee' excuse to keep getting up. There's only so many times a child can wee!

my LO has just gone to sleep, and I am just staring at him feeling lucky to have him. I’m okay thank you, taking it day by day!
