Hi everyone, it’s my first post on mumsnet, I spent a LOT of time reading through these threads when ttc my son and they helped so much.

Now I’m back ttc my second and it is only our second cycle and I am already much more desperate for it to happen than I was the first time around with my son 3 years a go.

I think it’s because it took us 10 cycles to conceive my son and I’m already heartbroken over it potentially taking that long (or longer) this time around.

Anybody else out there ttc their second baby and feeling the same anxiety? I swear I drove myself mad last cycle, it’s no wonder it happened really, I was borderline insane with googling, symptom spotting and even poas as early as 4dpo

Happy new year ladies - I was hoping I could jump on 😊 DS turned 2 last month and I came off the pill in November - now cycle 2 TTC baby #2. Currently CD5 and looking forward to this month after a wild cycle with all of the symptoms you can imagine and faint lines making last cycle very confusing indeed.
Opks at the ready and app suggested Ovulation on 11th.
Has anyone had their BFPs or anyone around the same stage as me?

@Kiaa all good thank you. About 10 weeks now, still no appointment for a scan yet. Did pay for an early one though at 7 weeks as I had some bleeding, we saw a heartbeat and they were measuring bang on time so all good hopefully!
Just lots of nausea and bloating!!!

Morning all. I tested positive for COVID yesterday and I feel so poorly. Ovulation is today sad manage to DTD last night (with DH putting all the work in) while we both wore masks! If I didn’t laugh I’d cry. Just really didn’t want to miss the window of opportunity. I feel really rough though so I doubt my body will let me get pregnant this cycle sad does anyone know of anyone who managed to get pregnant while they had covid?!

Well that’s me out for another month. Af got me this morning, bang on time 😩 I was feeling hopeful this month! But I guess it’s on to month 6..

Welcome @AmberRH1993 hope this thread can give you some good luck! A lot of the ladies who were commenting on the beginning have gone on to get their BFPs now 🙂

@Moonshine160 Oh that sucks! How are you feeling with it? Half of our family tested positive just after Christmas but we’ve managed to evade it somehow! Take some time to rest, try not to worry too much about ttc!

Looking for some help...
I've done some tests yesterday, all of which i'm not 100% they are negative...

first I done 2x tesco tests
then a clear blue early detection
and then a FRER

Am I crazy or is there a slight line on the FRER? It appears pinker in person very hard to make out but i'm convinced there is something there for sure?

Do these look like evap lines or am I going crazy :(

Me and my DH are thinking to try for #2 around feb/March - seems a away off but trying to get my head back into it all. We adore our LO and we promised ourselves conception wouldn’t take over our life last time - it didn’t but we desperately want a sibling for our LO so need to keep grounded!

Received letter from fertility clinic saying my blood results will be discussed at a follow up appointment in 3 months time. Previous blood results were deemed “borderline” due to incorrect dates by GP. Awaiting appointment for gynaecology scans; will keep you all updated.

Hi everyone! It’s been a while since I posted on here, have had a stressful 2/3 months tbh. Unfortunately I’m still not pregnant ergh😪

I’m 5dpo today in cycle 8 and honestly feeling like it will just never, ever happen again for us! I can’t believe it’s been almost 6 months since the chemical last year and I’ve not had even a whiff of a second line on a test since.

Keeping this thread up to date seen as I started it.. AF arrived this morning, bang on time.. so it’s on to cycle number 9 😩😔

I’d be lying if I said I wasn’t starting to get a little worried now, it took 10 cycles for my son so as I approach that number and I’m still not pregnant I can’t help but worry.. 😩

I did unfortunately get Covid last week though so maybe that’s affected things? Who knows 😩 Safe to say it wasn’t the positive test that I wanted, at all.

Ahh @L0ts its lovely to hear from you, even though it’s not the positive news you want just yet. 10 cycles is such a long time - in the calendar but also on your body and mind. I hope you’re being kind to yourself?
maybe 10 will be your lucky number again. I am keeping everything crossed for you.

we have had good news - I am currently nearly 15 weeks along. It has been an anxiety ridden pregnancy so far given it’s so close to the loss in December - perhaps we should have given it a bit longer but it’s done now and ultimately if it makes it to the end with a baby then it’s worth the worry - they keep us worrying forever anyway I guess! X

I am here to say that today I am 9dpo and got a BFP!!! I am trying so hard not to get ahead of myself again seen as last October I had a chemical and I’m terrified it will happen again but I’m feeling a little more hopeful.

Last October I never managed to get a BFP on a FRER but today after a faint positive on a One Step IC I held a wee (only for 1.5 hours) and I have a vfl on the FRER!! I can’t believe it! I’ll keep this post updated ❤️

I’m trying my absolute hardest to relax 😂 I’m 11dpo today and af is 3 days away still. I’ve been testing every morning or afternoon and these are my results so far..

I think it’s looking promising but again, I’m still an anxious wreck whilst waiting for my period to be late.

Can I join? Ttc number 2, I’m 30, first is nearly 3 and conceived her first try.

Period due in a few days but tests are very negative so confident that I will be going into cycle 2 shortly. Only dtd once this month in fertile week so suspect we need to ramp up our efforts…

For a few reasons I need this to happen as quickly as possible so I’m using OPKs and just ordered some pre-seed as my episiotomy scar is giving me jip during sex.

Just an update.. Haven’t got anymore FRER but still testing with the cheapies!
