Hi everyone, it’s my first post on mumsnet, I spent a LOT of time reading through these threads when ttc my son and they helped so much.

Now I’m back ttc my second and it is only our second cycle and I am already much more desperate for it to happen than I was the first time around with my son 3 years a go.

I think it’s because it took us 10 cycles to conceive my son and I’m already heartbroken over it potentially taking that long (or longer) this time around.

Anybody else out there ttc their second baby and feeling the same anxiety? I swear I drove myself mad last cycle, it’s no wonder it happened really, I was borderline insane with googling, symptom spotting and even poas as early as 4dpo

I wanted to update you all, sadly I have been told our baby has died. I will have a D&C in the coming days.

I’m devastated and so will step away from this thread for a little while but wish you all so much luck and love x

@Babyboom1990 The one looks negative to me but the one below is either positive or an awful dye run/evap! I’d get yourself a frer and test with that 🙂

10dpo and a huge temp drop to below cover line this morning, so not feeling all that positive anymore 😩 I did however have an awful night with my toddler and the boiler has broken (thankfully getting a new one fitted on Monday) so maybe that had something to do with it? God knows 😩

So I’ve now had a text message through saying I’ve got a telephone appointment with gynaecology on the 23rd. Not sure what this will entail as all my doc told me was that she would be referring us to fertility clinic.

Maybe it just stress it can happen just keep monitoring it may go back up 🤞

@Borolass84 fingers crossed you covered for this cycle 🤞 Hopefully your doc has some answers or help for you xx

@L0ts it could very well be an implantation dip so a good thing, especially if it was a dramatic drop. What was your BBT today? If it was back up then either implantation dip or just one of those things, they always say to focus on the overall trend rather than individual temps.

@kmbegs This is my chart now so it did shoot back up today, I’m thinking maybe environmental factors affected it? Seen as our house is bloody freezing atm without heating 😂 I just feel like I’m out this month. Yesterday morning I was so certain AF was arriving four days early but thankfully she didn’t. I feel very crampy atm but it’s just making me feel certain this month isn’t the one 😩

I thought implantation but did read that you can get another surge of oestrogen and progesterone around 10-12dpo which may cause a drop in temp. God knows! I feel like I’ve googled absolutely everything this month 😂

@L0ts I might be wrong but I don't think environmental factors like temp of your house impact BBT so either an implantation dip or hormone boost like you said. Or just a random outlier. Either way if that were my chart I would be happy with how it's looking, a one off really doesn't mean anything bad or good. I have a daughter and when I was pregnant with her at first I carried on doing BBT and some mornings I had a huge drop but obviously never miscarried or anything. It's all looking good, hang in there. The TWW is horrific but not long left now before you I know either way.

AF got me a day early ladies 😩 on to cycle five I guess 😩

Update: OH’s SA results came back today. Although he has low testosterone, he had 80million sperm in his sample of which all had good motility. Not sure if the low testosterone currently affects us. Just waiting for my bloods now and go from there :)

@Kiaa yes I’m surprised the secretary gave him the info over the phone but saying that, she did say the letter with all the info had been posted. Yes I’m relieved he’s ok in that department but now feel like it’s going to be an issue with me as he is 31 but I’m 37

I'm sure it will be ok it's better to get there's things checked
I myself am thinking we will go for testing soon if this fertile week ever hurrys up

@Kiaa totally agree with you. Without being rude, if you’ve been TTC for over 6 months and over 35 NHS will investigate (which was our situation). Personally, I think it’s best to as then you got time to receive help and or treatment if needed. If all’s well you’ll have that reassurance that it’s just a matter of time and nature taking it’s course :)

@Kiaa What does the flashing smiley mean again? I’ve never used the digital ovulation thingies 😂 Is it that ovulation is near?

@Borolass84 That’s really, really good news about your partners sperm count! I bet that relieves you a little doesn’t it? What do they test for when they do blood tests btw? I’m curious!

@L0ts yes it’s a relief for both of us :) the bloods are to check for progesterone to check that I’m actually ovulating. Usually doc waits for blood results but she took mine on wrong day so my progesterone was very low. Getting bloods done again on Wednesday. Doc said because of my age and length of time TTC she’s already done the my referral to fertility clinic.
