It’s been twelve million years & Minster & the good time crew are still here…it’s almost September and we basically missed out August for BFPs so we are owed.

Lots of people have got new jobs, had time off, gone on holiday, moved house, but what we haven’t had is the BFP to go with it- what’s with that??

So we’re owed a bumper bus ride right? That’s how it goes surely? If you are looking for a community of lovely ladies who know how frustrating it is when your doctor tells you “all women ovulate on day 14” errrr nope, we know a bus load of women who don’t thanks very much 🙋🏼‍♀️🤦🏼‍♀️😆🤔then here’s the bus for you. Oh and we don’t just talk TTC, we’ll chat about anything. In fact that’s positively encouraged cos TTC can be bloody boring sometimes!

Hi Ladies,

Hoping I can join your long-running bus. This is definitely the place for me as I don't think I have EVER ovulated on day 14! The most embarrassing thing that happened to me recently was when I was in the shower. The bathroom window was open and I was happily showering away when I hear a noise and see a face at the window. The window cleaner had arrived! I tried to hide up against the wall and both of us just pretended it hadn't happened. I couldn't face making chat. Mortified!

Anyway a little about me. I am 32, we have been TTC for 16 months. I have been to the GP and had blood tests and each time my progesterone has come back around 13 or 14 so the GP said I am not ovulating and has referred me to the fertility clinic. In the meantime I got a BFP, which was a big surprise after being told I didn't ovulate! Unfortunately that ended up in an early miscarriage in July. My cycles have always been irregular but even worse since the miscarriage. Now on CD 39 and no sign of ovulation yet!

I am so sorry @Sunbird24 to hear what a difficult few days it has been.

@polkadotpixie no reason why not. If you're both emotionally ready go for it I say! We conceived straight after my first MC, it was another one bit still there may be some truth in being more fertile.

Wow @Sunbird24 what a horrific time you've had. I'm glad you're feeling better though. Good news they are able to test. Make sure you're well looked after!

Was at work a few weeks ago whilst DCs both being looked after my MIL. Dc (5) was looking for their flip flops upstairs apparently, and found “something” that was buzzing so apparently took it upon themselves to bring it down to MIL to show her….. yep…. My god, the horror on my face when MIL told me that night, I have barely been able to look at her in the eyes since!!

It goes without saying that said items have now been hidden even more and locked up….

Shouted downstairs when I was on toilet like it was the first time starting periods again to hun saying OMG IM BLEEDING he was like no your not n he was like wait what? Then Finally accepted that he needs to consider times maybe that I have to be out because of blood which he’s not had that issue in a while luckily he’s on a 3 day abstain now for his repeat SA talk about good timing 🤣

@bea14 hey there lovely and welcome! Have you got your first appointment yet or had it? I think I have the gold medal stance of the cycleolympics for doing the long jump of 117 days at the moment, fertility clinic bobbed me on metformin for my PCOS and exactly 28 days after taking it it’s back again! Hopefully your bus journey will be a short one for you 🤞🏻🎟

@kaylsd Not had an appointment yet, on the waiting list which is around a 3 or 4 month wait apparently. So hopefully I will get an appointment September/October time. I would really like some drugs to help regulate my periods. I have been taking inositol which has definitely helped shorten them to 40 days or under most of the time, but I am still nowhere near the 28 day cycle. However since the miscarriage I really have no idea what is going on. The first cycle after it was 19 days! And now I am on CD39 but no signs of ovulation yet. So glad to hear Metformin has worked for you. I hope this leads to your BFP soon.

@Bea14 hello and another window incident 🤣that's brilliant! So guessing you didn't ovulate on day 14 then if the progesterone was out and my cycles are still out of whack since MC in may, I had a really short cycle, like 20 days then 24 (but it's only cos of the ladies on the bus here that we guessed one day of spotting was actually a pathetic first AF) then 38 now waiting on next (day 14 today and no OV)but wasn't regular before so I know that frustration. Here's hoping you come out of limbo soon & can get back into it!

(For ovulation) "well that's just it love. You don't. Welcome to my world, or we might have a million children by now ffs" honestly. So he gave up taking an interest again!

@Bundaberg84 you caved 🤣🙌🏻how long are you cycles usually? (For both SMEP & CB tests it's pretty tough) Seemingly I'm one of those ones who can OV anytime so I've got through about 20 in one cycle before. Luckily I found some in Superdrug in feb for £2, the really posh connected ones...the expiry date was feb but my fanny hasn't caught fire yet. But also I've not got a baby (I did get a BFP in March though so maybe they then gave up after the expiry 🤣)

SIL had just announced her 3rd pregnancy on social media. 3 under 3. She's quite far in before she announced. She was 2 weeks ahead of me, yay not yay. 😩

Something happened tonight which seems very crazy so I figured what better ladies to tell it to than those who embrace batshit crazy like it's normal 🤪 😂
So after telling SIL earlier that she could have all DSs baby stuff as we won't be needing it any more I felt sad but at the same time ok about it so I've really started to move into the acceptance stage of 1. Life is definitely much better since we stopped actively ttc, sex life waaaay better with no pressure anymore, headspace way better and even my relationship with DS is so much better too (not that it was bad before but I feel I'm treasuring every little thing he's doing now knowing it'll be the last). So all's good in life. Then got a call tonight to say my Granda died, found out last week he had cancer so it wasn't unexpected but still way quicker than anyone thought. While on the call I felt like I'd came on, but AF had arrived about a week ago so I knew it couldn't have been. Went to the loo and I was literally passing thee biggest glob of EWCM I have had in my over 2 years of ttc! And while I'm wiping up in my head pops the flipping Circle of Life song from the Lion King so now my batshit crazy mind is thinking maybe it's a sign from my Granda that because he's died a new life will come about so I've not to give up yet. Dead Grandas giving signs thru EWCM and lion King songs.....now there's a bus title for you 🤪😂😂😂
I dont want to try again as my life is actually really good right now and it took a long time and many tears to reach this stage of acceptance, but at the same time my batshit crazy episode tonight is just too bizarre not to think it might be a sign to try just one more time 🤷‍♀️ ugh I don't know, I'm going to bed so I don't need to think about it till tomorrow as I think its a bit too much of a crazy thought even for my liking but I just had to quickly share it with you ladies first as you're the only ones that will understand that level of crazy 🤪

@Minster2012 yeah I figured I might need them for the next cycles anyway... I mean chances of getting pregnant each month aren't that high and having only one tube won't help either right? My cycles are usually 31 days and like clockwork. But I had the Covid jan this month so it might had an impact (first one didn't though)

Nothing to report here. Apart from great 🍆 last night and this afternoon. Its brilliant not having to worry about timing it, doing it too much or whatever. And just doing it for pleasure. Thank god. CD 10 today so won't be horny and enjoying it for much longer. 🙄

Thanks ladies. After the scan on Friday I was convinced I was wrong and it was a boy so was a total shock today. The lady who does my balloons has become a good friend recently and she's also pregnant (4 weeks behind me) and I gave her the card on Friday with what the sex was for the reveal balloon and she got me some pink baby clothes as a pressie and I cried again opening them.

I haven't bought anything baby wise yet @kaylsd 😬 I've been too scared for ages after the loss so I'd said to my self after our 20 week scan I'll allow myself to go shopping

@bea14 I'm glad you find the inositol works. I've been taking it since April but I don't really know what it's supposed to be doing for me. I have fairly regular bleeds but not sure if I ovulate. I'm on metformin too and also not sure what that's supposed to be doing for me either other than giving me chronic diarrhoea.

My lunch today with the girls was OK but I was dying of period pains and I found it all a bit much. Non-stop pregnancy talk of course but that's become the norm. When I came home I burst into tears, I have absolutely no idea why but I presume hormones are to blame and also the stress of being an introvert having to socialise whilst struggling through the worst period I've had in years. Feel better now.

DH just happily announced that SIL is pregnant and was all shitty with me, asking why I was pulling a face. I tried to explain to him that having a chemical back in May and having to pause TTC because my health is so bad means that other people’s announcements generate a few mixed feelings. But he’s too much of a w*nk puffin to understand. I’m really pissed off with myself for feeling like this; I’m really hoping the little stabbing sadness fades quickly and I can pull up my big girl pants and stop feeling 😔

@Crazydoglady123 it's lovely the lady is a friend now & also pregnant, and we didn't buy anything til over 25 weeks as didn't believe it/I also felt weird /disconnected not carrying so it's understandable after a tough journey

Thanks ladies, I knew nothing was too crazy for here 😂 Had to resist the urge to jump DH last night as I didn't want to be making any rash decisions out of grief. Have slept on it and have decided I've came too far to set myself back again now, even if I did fall pregnant we all know given the history it would most likely end in yet another loss which really isn't what I need right now. So back to using the pull out method during FW no matter how much ewcm and lion King songs are going on 😂🦁
