It’s been twelve million years & Minster & the good time crew are still here…it’s almost September and we basically missed out August for BFPs so we are owed.

Lots of people have got new jobs, had time off, gone on holiday, moved house, but what we haven’t had is the BFP to go with it- what’s with that??

So we’re owed a bumper bus ride right? That’s how it goes surely? If you are looking for a community of lovely ladies who know how frustrating it is when your doctor tells you “all women ovulate on day 14” errrr nope, we know a bus load of women who don’t thanks very much 🙋🏼‍♀️🤦🏼‍♀️😆🤔then here’s the bus for you. Oh and we don’t just talk TTC, we’ll chat about anything. In fact that’s positively encouraged cos TTC can be bloody boring sometimes!

The nurse called me back about 18:30 last night and my bloods have come back and they're really high for HCG so won't repeat in 48hrs just scan next Wednesday. Google suggests that could be a good or bad thing (I suppose hence why they want to scan me sooner) neutral thoughts happening...

CD8 here. OH is apparently ready for FW, I am telling him we need to be 'guided by the science' i.e. wait for the Clear Blue advanced ovulation thingy to give me a smiley face. 🙄 🙄 Who said romance is dead, eh? Frankly I don't want him to err peak too early in the cycle, IYKWIM.

@bez91 we are here for you, def could be twins! And I'm saying to myself if I were in that scenario I'd rather have a higher hcg than a low one as surely a lot of hcg is better? But scary stuff, as ever it's never easy eh??

@feliznavidad2 ha don't worry, but yes I'd rather have a baby and @larrythelizard physio prob would help the annoying thing is it was the mri that was to tell us what was wrong with it then how we can fix it, IYSWIM, last time they just waggled it & were like "well to go forwards we need to know what the actual problem is" so I don't know how to get into the bit for the physio?

So I've been hit with the back to work bug, and feel awful, was up all night with a horrendous dry throat and felt like I was going to be sick every time I tried to cough or swallow, glands are up and swollen too! OH is giving his statement tonight over the phone too, so glad things are moving!

Also remember my friend who's baby shower I helped organise? She had her baby 10 days ago, a baby girl, so we're going to meet her on Saturday, well if I'm better, if I'm not I won't go because I don't want to pass anything on!

Apparently today it's 100 days to Christmas! I need to buy DS a stocking, haven't bothered the last 2 years but he will certainly understand it all this year. Bit weird as I really thought I'd be buying two matching ones.

I'm on a pretty badly organised onboarding call with 200 people around the world - I'm unsure what the point of is and we're 20 mins in. Other than the fact that a man called Kamel lives on the Swiss side of the France/Switzerland border and is now describing the full remit of activities available there in the winter!

So I think I'll be 5/6dpo on Monday when I have my second progesterone blood test done but will this be too early??

Anyway apologies for madness yesterday. I have calmed down somewhat. First week back at work and everyone is pregnant. Or their wives are. Usual thoughts, happy for them, sad for me. One is an unplanned 6th child! My colleague is fucking horrified to be pregnant but if she can't figure out contraception after 5 kids then she's past help.

@Somatronic lol at the contraception, fair point. I’m having to deal with having people back in the office again and I have to say I’m not loving it. I started during the pandemic but have had to come in pretty regularly throughout (except in jan and feb) so now people are tricking back in and I am not used to sharing an office. I also have a colleague (the one I work with the closest) who just told me she’s pregnant, and her due date is one week before mine would have been so that’s a bit shit if I’m honest (obvs happy for her, but one of those “I wasn’t even trying! It was our first go” scenarios).

@Vil10 5-6DPO doesn’t seem that early, is it? If the traditional progesterone test is done on CD21 with the assumption that everrrrryone obvs ovulates on CD14 that would make it 7dpo. Is a day or two difference significant?

@larrythelizard I think more molar for elevated levels but it seems ok for gestation just higher than normal not off the scale 😊 200 people? That's bonkers and people are allowed to speak freely - sounds hectic 😆 urgh the C word, haven't contemplated it yet!

@feliznavidad2 does your DH not know CB stick is god now?

AF should have been due today so it was nice to still see 2 solid lines, but again have been here before just need to hit that 6 week mark so I can breath a bit, it's going to be the longest 2WW ever 😬 Nausea has disappeared but the tiredness has ramped up big time so hoping that's a good sign 🤞 Only 2 weeks left of my 5miles a day sponsored walk and mega struggling I'm so exhausted at the moment but so determined to complete it on time especially since the funds are for Tommy's baby charity, maybe my bfp is my gift back for doing it 🤔

@Minster2012 glad to hear your parents have taken the news better this time 😊 Sucks on the cancelled MRI however can't think of a better reason to have to cancel than being pregnant!
