Here we are again... thread 19. Not sure if any of you ladies are here from thread 1. I think I've been around since about thread 5.

@Mustkeepgoing2 hope your scan goes well 💕

Had another peak OPK yesterday on Clearblue. Had the last one on CD7 🤯 but the cheapy OPK this morning seems to have confirmed it this time so fingers crossed I've yielded an egg this time 🙌🏼

@BellaBella1984 definitely not from your last MC I've been told. My GP saw me after a year (in fact just before as was having mid cycle bleeding too)

@Marvellouslymadmum they think they're so hard done to males don't they, we have to go through all the trauma, vag cams
etc and all they have to do it put a bit of fluid in a cup 😆 my DH has his in a couple of weeks it's "drop off service" due to covid. He didn't get it has to arrive within an hour and was astounded when I suggested he book the afternoon off, I said I said jokingly I can collect it from his workplace if he prefers and can't possibly get the time off, never booked annual leave so fast

Thank you for all the welcomes - I'm just spotting a little now so we are starting to TTC now. My pg tests are finally getting fainter so not sure if opks would work yet?

Marvellouslymadmum · 17/05/2021 11:14

@bez91 omg that made me laugh 😂 my oh was so adamant that he wasn't doing it in the room of shame (insisted it just wouldn't happen) that he said he would rather do it in the car if there was any risk of us not getting it there on time 😂😂

Mustkeepgoing2 · 17/05/2021 11:17

Thank you all for your wishes today.

I have basically been holding my breath since Friday and sneaking off to the ‘loo’ to wildly search on google! I said I wouldn’t but obviously I did!

She saw a little sac today and possibly a little yolk sack and said she is 95% sure that it is what it is. It is all still so small so I have to go back on Friday to be 100% sure and rule out the 5% ectopic and see its growth but am hoping and hoping and hoping this is all a very good sign!

This is only forum group I am part of and I am very comfortable here so reluctant to join any thing else so I am grateful you are still happy to have me and are thinking of me.

I am not by any means out of the woods at all and she was clear about that given by MMC and ectopic history, sadly previous ectopics are a massive red flag so I do find the whole process terrifying but hopefully today is a step in the right direction.

Mustkeepgoing2 · 17/05/2021 11:21

@bez91 and @Marvellouslymadmum
This made me laugh. My husband had to use the room because we were over an hour away. The chairs they gave us in the waiting room where opposite the room and my husband and I couldn’t help but catch each other’s eyes when the poor men went in and out with the nurse showing them how to use the lighting and film selection! It’s all so awkward😳🙈

Mustkeepgoing2 · 17/05/2021 11:25

@gizmo167 Hope you are okay lovely.

When I had my son I was so blissfully naive about the whole process. I honestly believed a BFP meant a baby and on that occasion it did!

One day at a time I guess. Sending love xxx

Marvellouslymadmum · 17/05/2021 12:09

@Mustkeepgoing2 that's great news so far!! Let's hope everything carries on that way and on Friday you see the little bean! 🤞🏻🤞🏻🤞🏻 I think my oh would definitely get stage fright in the room haha

Canadadarlingg · 17/05/2021 14:09

7dpo today and i caved... BFN of course which i knew it would be so i dont know why i tested so early, i just get an insane urge to pee on a stick lol. I am trying to wait to 12dpo to test as i have some FRERs but might cave again at 9dpo because im so impatient. I dont feel like this is going to be my month if im honest so im hoping AF doesnt take long to show up so i can start trying again. Hoping everyone else is getting on well

@Mustkeepgoing2 that's great news that everything looks good so far. My fingers are crossed that this continues as a happy healthy pregnancy Smile

bez91 · 17/05/2021 16:35

@Mustkeepgoing2 really good news, fingers crossed for Friday for healthy growth 💕

Ok so I've been trying to be more chill lately, which is somewhat out of character for me! 🙄

I'm trying out the Expectful app after my evening yoga/physio. I've got a 7 day free trial and I'll report back...

Better go brew myself some herbal tea!

Twinkles18 · 18/05/2021 15:05

So iv been using the opks and logging in Premom app alongside tracking BBT in Natural Cycles. My problem is that premom is saying ovulation occurred on CD19 which was 10th May and Natural Cycles is saying CD17 which was 8th..what do I go by? As if TTC wasn't confusing enough 😅

Loulou237 · 18/05/2021 15:45

Is anyone worried by the possible effects of the COVID-19 vaccine on both male and female fertility? I’m pro vaccination I am just a natural worrier so I’m undecided! Would appreciate everyone else’s view, thanks xx

Twinkles18 · 18/05/2021 20:28

@loulou237 I'm a bit wary of it to be honest, my parents both have had their vaccine and were completely fine but personally I won't take it until Im finished having kids. It's not something I'm willing to risk xx

Loulou237 · 18/05/2021 21:31

@Twinkles18 thanks for replying, yes I’m completely torn about it really. Such a difficult one! Xx

SLCxxx · 18/05/2021 21:58

@RichmondLady1981 aww thanks, decided not to take it following your reply, but worth taking unnecessary risks 😊

Anyone close to testing yet??

BellaBella1984 · 18/05/2021 22:57

@Loulou237 @Twinkles18 Please don't be at all concerned about getting your vaccines. There's no evidenced based research to suggest it has any impact on fertility. Also it's not 'live' like the measles one. RCOG is a reputable source for further info.

Twinkles18 · 18/05/2021 23:04

@slcxxx think I'm going to test Saturday 🙈

@BellaBella1984 thanks 😊 I'm not overly concerned I just don't think il get it yet as it's hard enough to get pregnant nevermind adding a vaccine into the mix too..after I have a child I will definitely get it I'm just in no hurry yet but I wouldn't put anyone else off, just my own view on it 😊

Lollipop25 · 18/05/2021 23:31

Felt so devastated today, BIL announced his wife is pregnant again. Delighted for them but really took all my strength not to burst out crying when DH told me. She's due November , I just kept thinking I should have had a 2 month old by then😞

@Twinkles18 I'm the same, will def hold off. I just don't feel it's out long enough for anyone to be aware of long term effects. Just wary I suppose but certainly wouldn't press my opinion on anyone else, I'm def not anti vaxx ( just before I get attacked🙈)

Twinkles18 · 18/05/2021 23:42

Aww @lollipop25 i know its hard and such a strange feeling being sad when you're happy for them too! Just know it will happen for you too and trust the process 🤍 trying to tell myself the same thing, it all works out in the end 💫

Re the vaccine, I agree lol def not anti vax either it's just not for me right now

Lollipop25 · 18/05/2021 23:46

This ttc really does take over your life @Twinkles18 , anyway upwards and onwards I suppose , 🤞we get our BFPs soon😌

bez91 · 19/05/2021 05:43

Ahhh @Lollipop25 that's really tough. You play it all through in your mind don't you different events etc. I hope you're feeling better today 💕

@BellaBella1984 totally agree 💉 I know a lot of people who have conceived post vaccine also.

I think I've ovulated this month 🥳 3dpo, thinking I'm not overly fussed if a BFN this month just glad my body is popping an egg out 🙌🏼😆

OP posts:
SLCxxx · 19/05/2021 06:57

@bez91 🎉👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻 Yay, not another anovulatory cycle, that’s positive! Are they going to do bloods again?

@Twinkles18 it’s so hard isn’t it 🤦🏼‍♀️ I’m trying not to symptom spot because there is always a BFN no matter the symptoms

@Lollipop25 oh hun, I’m so sorry 💕 my SIL is due July, I was due august, and even though you are happy for them, it’s heart breaking, it shouldn’t be but it feels it

@BellaBella1984 when I lost the baby I booked my vaccine, I have now had both. I’m a midwife and unfortunately have seen the outcome Covid can have on pregnant women so when I wasn’t pregnant anymore I done my research and had it. Not sure I would have had it while pregnant though as there was no research really back in jan

feliznavidad2 · 19/05/2021 06:59

I've had both my Covid jabs, I work in the NHS and wasn't TTC when I received the first one. I'm sort of relieved I've had them now as feel 'covered' in case of a third wave later in the year, especially if I'm pregnant then.

bez91 · 19/05/2021 07:10

@SLCxxx yes bloods at GP tomorrow so hopefully there has been enough of a rise to confirm as late ov this month compared to usual. Then private investigations start 2nd June so I've managed to time it quite nicely on the back of a BFN 😆
That was my thinking too with the vaccine, booked it on the back of another BFN could only help things right. Being a midwife must be tough when TTC and after baby loss, strong lady 💪🏼
