Here we are again... thread 19. Not sure if any of you ladies are here from thread 1. I think I've been around since about thread 5.

@coconutlatte44 Did you test? Smile

coconutlatte44 · 04/09/2021 11:21

Hi @susiebluebell, I did and it's a positive. 🙂

Cautiously excited but the practical side of me is of course, well, practical.

I haven't had significant symptoms for either of my mcs so it's just a waiting game with no real indication of whether things are ok or not.

First pregnancy had a tiny bit of spotting at 7 weeks and turned out it was anembryonic though sac was still growing.

Third pregnancy absolutely no indication anything was wrong until I went in for a reassurance scan at 8 weeks and found baby was measuring 6+2 with no heartbeat.

I'm taking part in a study at my local EPU which means I should get an early scan but don't think I will have much reassurance until 8 weeks or so. So have to protect myself from investing too much until then.

Thanks for checking in's

bez91 · 04/09/2021 13:26

Fantastic news @coconutlatte44 how many dpo are you? Tentative congratulations, it's very hard after multiple losses 💕

SLCxxx · 04/09/2021 14:24

@coconutlatte44 another tentative congratulations, my fingers are crossed this is your rainbow 🌈

coconutlatte44 · 04/09/2021 14:34

Thanks @bez91 and @SLCxxx
I assume 14 or 15 dpo just based on cycle dates. Day 30 of a cycle that usually lasts 29.

My second pregnancy was uneventful and I am so fortunate to have a beautiful 19 month old son so fingers crossed we're lucky again this time.

Have you decided if you are going to test @bez91?

OneDay86 · 05/09/2021 09:40

Hi everyone, would you mind if I join this thread?

Firstly I’m so sorry for all of your losses. It’s such a heartbreaking experience. I honestly never knew ttc could be so tough - tough physically, emotionally and mentally. My heart goes out to you all ❤️

My story… I’m 35 and been ttc our first baby for 15 months. Had a MC back in February at 4 weeks, then had a MMC 3 weeks ago at 9 weeks (baby stopped growing at 7 weeks).

Really struggled after this recent loss, just couldn’t shake the feeling that I’m never going to have a baby. I’m trying to be a bit more positive lately but if I’m being honest I just desperately want to be pregnant again! We were going to wait for our first cycle as advised by EPU but I caved and we have dtd a couple of times in the last 2 weeks… no idea if I’ve ovulated or not though or even when. Still waiting for AF to show…. How long has it taken for you all to get your 1st cycle if you don’t mind me asking? I heard 4-6 weeks is usual? My first MC was so early my body pretty much went back to normal straight away thankfully but this MC was further along so not sure if my hormones will be more all over the place?

Also congrats to all the BFPs, it’s so nice to read and gives me hope. Wishing you all a happy and healthy 9 months x

Elciekay · 05/09/2021 10:01

Hi @OneDay86 I'm also new here - had my first MMC early August at 11+4 and had stopped measuring at 7+2 and had MVA 11th August so also waiting for AF but no idea when to expect.

We were also going to wait for one cycle but DTD a few times as had negative 2 weeks after but still anxiously waiting one way or other.

All the ladies here are super welcoming and have good advice.

It's so good to read other BFPs and gives me hope too.

So welcome and I'm so sorry for both your losses big hug and sending love x

Loulou237 · 05/09/2021 10:01

@OneDay86 I’m so sorry to hear of your losses. Welcome to the thread. I know you’re probably feeling hopeless right now but this thread especially gives us hope that there will be a bfp even when you don’t feel like it. I had a mc back in March and had to have a d&c. my cycle went straight back to normal and I’d been 9 weeks pregnant but I think it varies wildly between each person so you’ll have to just wait and see I’m afraid. I hope you get pregnant again nice and quickly and this one is smooth sailing for you. Xx

bez91 · 05/09/2021 13:33

@OneDay86 sorry you find yourself here but you're in good company 😊 I've had 3 MCs over the last 18 months at varying gestation/intervention and each time my cycle has return within 7 weeks but everyone is different so there is no normal so to speak 💕 it did take longer for hormones to get bask to normal the further along I was!

@coconutlatte44 I tested this morning at 11dpo. To my surprise a BFP, I thought we missed the boat as I ovulated late. I've been here before though so just carrying on as if nothing has happened until I'm convinced otherwise 😊

Congratulations @bez91. I check in on this thread from time to time and couldn’t be more happier for you. I know that you must feel quite anxious but I’m keeping everything crossed that this is your rainbow 🌈 xxx

Loulou237 · 05/09/2021 21:14

@SLCxxx @bubblybrit how are you doing? Xxx

bubblybrit · 05/09/2021 21:25

@Loulou237. I’m really good thank you. Nausea starting to wear off so only tiredness to content with! How’s you? X

elsimo · 05/09/2021 21:57

@bez91 this is bloody amazing! I know u will be terrified but I am keeping everything crossed for u! I’m so chuffed. Please keep us posted.

Loulou237 · 05/09/2021 22:45

@bubblybrit oh that’s great news! How far along are you now? I’m good thank you, this month was a bit of a non starter with ttc but I’m looking forward to starting properly next month! Xx

bez91 · 06/09/2021 07:01

Thanks ladies 💕 @Loulou237 @SLCxxx @bubblybrit @elsimo
I'm so anxious but just know it's something I've got to battle through. My first appointment with the recurrent miscarriage clinic was next month so I'm going to ring EPU today and see if someone is willing to prescribe me progesterone

@Loulou237. I’m currently 10+4. Feeling a little more positive now that the first trimester is almost finished and that I’ve had two scans where everything looks good. Think they’ll always be a worry but trying to enjoy the pregnancy now...well in between feeling knackered and nauseous!

Fingers crossed for you this month! Sending all my positive thoughts your way x

bubblybrit · 06/09/2021 12:20

@Loulou237. Next month that should say! X

Loulou237 · 06/09/2021 21:38

@bubblybrit that’s amazing, almost out of the first trimester! Hopefully the nausea will calm down now. Thank you I’m hoping it happens quite quickly 🤞🏻 @bez91 how did you get on with the epu? Xx

OneDay86 · 06/09/2021 23:11

@Elciekay @Loulou237 @bez91 Thank you for the lovely messages and warm welcome! It’s so nice to be able to talk to others who understand what I’m going though, although at the same time I’m so sorry you’ve had to experience the same thing. Really hope for happy endings for us all ❤️

Weirdly after posting on here yesterday, AF actually arrived today! Relieved on the one hand but also think I was secretly hoping I would be one of those who would catch straight away, especially as we dtd a couple of times after the MC. Ah well, back to ovulation tests and strategically planned dtd!

@Elciekay @Loulou237 @bez91 I’m so so sorry for all of your losses. It’s heartbreaking and seems so unfair. I agree the waiting around to get back to ‘normal’ afterwards is definitely a very anxious time. I hope you don’t have to wait too much longer now @Elciekay. Have you tested at all recently?

I’m now booked in for investigative blood tests as I’ve had 2 MC in a row - I needed to wait until day 2 of my 1st cycle, guessing they’re testing some hormone levels? Have my blood tests tomorrow so will be interesting to see if there’s any underlying issues. Anyone else had blood tests like this done?

@bez91 congratulations on your BFP!!! What lovely news! Fingers crossed for you x

OneDay86 · 06/09/2021 23:32

Also congratulations @bubblybrit! Hope it all continues to go smoothly for you x

Fern346 · 08/09/2021 10:39

Hi @Loz2467 I’m doing ok mostly, thanks for checking in! I’ve actually been feeling quite optimistic about the future and TTC, though I’ve had some really annoying spotting all the way through my cycle, I mean like every day! So that’s annoying. Guessing my hormones are still all over the place. Pretty sure AF is on the way now too so feeling a bit down about that.
We agreed that DH would go back and have the DNA fragmentation test again if we weren’t pregnant by November, as our consultant said that could be the cause of the miscarriage. DH had COVID again in June though, so we’re worried that may have temporarily have depleted his sperm again! I think The issue is that his count is the low end of normal so even a small drop can have a big effect.
I’m leaning more and more to seeing a private fertility clinic tbh, we’ve been trying for 21 months in total and I’m not getting any younger…

How are things with you?

Hope everyone is doing as ok as they can xx

bez91 · 08/09/2021 10:56

Great news @bubblybrit almost there into the second trimester!

@Loulou237 meh, EPU passed me to gynae who are due to see me in the recurrent MC clinic. Rang several times a day since Monday and the doctor still has my notes, hasn't reviewed them so if no response by today I'm going to call the private clinic we used for fertility investigations to see if they will prescribe me some even if it costs a bomb I'd rather give this pregnancy the best chance

@OneDay86 are the tests through your GP? If so they may just be doing fertility testing for progesterone levels etc then repeat after ovulation. Are you in England? If you're having investigations done after 2 losses you're very lucky (tongue in cheek) as usually it's 3 losses to begin investigations which is utterly ridiculous 🤦🏼‍♀️

Haven’t been on for a while so just wanted to show my face and let everyone know I’m still here! Still TTC! It’s been 9 months since my miscarriage and would have been due a few week ago :(

Feel like it always takes me so long to conceive after a loss is anyone else the same?

I’m 6dpo today and noticed some spotting yesterday which I guess could be implantation? Hoping that this is the month! And also terrified at the same time!

Huge congrats to all who have gotten their BFP I’m so happy for you!

And a warm hug and hello to any news comers who are currently dealing with your loss, you’re in safe hands here and I hope you are all as okay as you can be at the moment! ❤️❤️
