Here we are again... thread 19. Not sure if any of you ladies are here from thread 1. I think I've been around since about thread 5.

Yesss @bubblybrit that's fantastic news congratulations! Always nice when someone whose been on the thread some time gets a BFP 💕 All worth the upset stomach 😉

@bez91. Thank you. I’ve not had the chance to tell DH as he is at work until 7pm 😬! I’m trying to be optimistic but realistic at the same time. Don’t want to take for granted that a BFP results in a baby. How are you getting on?

bez91 · 24/07/2021 19:56

Ahhh @bubblybrit it's hard isn't it. Each time I'm been eager to call DH at work but waited til he was home. It's good I think to be on an even keel although that's easier said than done after loss Hope you have a lovely evening 💕
I'm good, about 4dpo (I think) just on past ov dates as haven't tracked. I've just got a new job so from middle of FW was a bit half arsed as it wouldn't be ideal to tell my manager I'm pregnant when I start in my new role 🙈 I mean obvs I'm being optimistic but Sod's law says I've waited 14 months and the one month it works out wouldn't be great will probably be the one 😆

@bez91. It was a lovely surprise for DH when he came home from work. Felt like the longest day ever waiting on him coming home! I’ve booked an early scan for 7 weeks as appointments tend to fill up quickly as it’s only a small clinic in my local area (hope I haven’t jinxed it now!). Not sure if I should contact anyone about my upset tummy or just accept it’s part of early pregnancy (bit worried that it’s a side issue and could impact the pregnancy if not treated).

Are you looking forward to your new job? It will hopefully be a good distraction from all the TTC stress that we put ourselves through! I hope that you get your BFP soon 😀 xx

bez91 · 24/07/2021 21:03

Ahh that's lovely @bubblybrit I really hope it works out for you! It's easier said than done but take one day at a time. Might be worth a chat to your GP, I did have a bit of a funny tummy with my last 3 BFPs for a few days.
Yes looking forward to it, it's an internal move. Same department just a side step so same salary just much much less stress which I need right now. Going to take the extra time to concentrate on my fitness to distract me 😊

Congrats @bubblybrit wishing you a happy healthy 9 months!!! 🌈💗 amazing news!

bubblybrit · 24/07/2021 21:27

@bez91. Yeah I think I’ll call the GP on Monday as I’ve had an upset tummy for around 8/9 days now. It sounds as if it will be a good move for you. Fitness is great for mental health. I really missed my classes during lockdown (couldn’t get into online sessions) but will need to scale back a little bit now.

bubblybrit · 24/07/2021 21:27

Thank you @Loz2467. I’m a little nervous but trying to take a day at a time.

Loz2467 · 24/07/2021 21:42

I can imagine @bubblybrit when your ready have you seen the Zoe Clarke Coates book pregnancy after loss? I’ve heard great things about it.

bubblybrit · 24/07/2021 21:51

@Loz2467. I’ve not heard of that but will definitely take a look thanks. Have another 3 weeks until my early ‘reassurance’ scan so will be an anxious time for me. Think I’m nervous as I had a missed miscarriage so no indication anything was wrong until 12 week scan which was devastating.

Hopefull1981 · 25/07/2021 09:08

Congrats @bubblybrit. Lovely news.

Loz2467 · 25/07/2021 09:40

Ahhh I’m so sorry @bubblybrit I know the shock of that all too well myself unfortunately. I had my NHS dating scan at 14 weeks and babes was there all all okay. Went to a gender scan 3 weeks later and we’d lost her 💗 I’d had no signs or anything. No loss of anything. Was the biggest shock of my life.

Twinkles18 · 25/07/2021 10:29

Aww congratulations @bubblybrit 🥰 delighted for you!xx

bubblybrit · 25/07/2021 10:31

Thank you @Hopefull1981

I’m so sorry @Loz2467. I can’t imagine what that would have been like as you always assume that everything will be ok after 12 weeks have passed. I’ll keep my fingers crossed that you get your BFP soon xx

Loulou237 · 25/07/2021 11:45

@bubblybrit congratulations!!! Amazing news. Hope the next 3 weeks go quick for you and your upset stomach calms down a bit. I had terrible stomach problems with my daughter I think it’s all the hormones flying around! Xxx

bubblybrit · 25/07/2021 11:51

Thank you @Twinkles18 & @Loulou237. Today is the first day my stomach seems to have settled down a little bit. Test will be when I have something more substantial to eat as only had toast for breakfast! Xx

Beleeve · 25/07/2021 14:56

Aaahh @bubblybrit so happy for you! I know it is so hard to believe it and be positive when you've had a loss. There's nothing to suggest it will happen again, if anything it's probably more likely everything will be ok. Keeping everything crossed for you xx

bubblybrit · 25/07/2021 15:44

Thank you @Beleeve. I’m trying to focus on one day at a time. Want to enjoy this pregnancy but don’t think I’ll fully relax at any point xx

Anotherboy · 25/07/2021 17:00

@bubblybrit I had a very upset stomach that started with my last pregnancy, and lasted all the way through and a few months beyond! Never happened with my first, and the pregnancy went really well

Anotherboy · 25/07/2021 17:02

Looks like my ic's were accurate after all, I've started bleeding today and from experience I can tell it's an early mc. So sad, but at least my periods have started up again and I can track properly now.

bubblybrit · 25/07/2021 17:13

That’s good to know @Anotherboy. I didn’t have it when pregnant with DD nor the pregnancy that I went on to miscarry. Was a bit worried but a few of you have pointed out that it appears to be common so have put my mind at rest. Thank you.

Anotherboy · 25/07/2021 17:27

@bubblybrit it's good to know others experience this as everything I read said the opposite tended to happen! It has finally settles though. Also congrats, and I really hope this is th3 start of a happy, healthy few months for you both!

Beleeve · 25/07/2021 17:43

I've had a positive ov test today which is my 3rd in a row (Fri, Sat and today) weird cos it's normally only 2 days. Hoping we did enough on those 2 days cos i had a few drinks lastnight and feel sick as a dog, can't bear the thought of dtd tonight 🤢

bubblybrit · 25/07/2021 17:55

@Anotherboy. Yes I experienced the opposite with my first pregnancy so thought this was unusual at the beginning. Glad to be proved wrong! Thank you....work is really busy this now so will be a good distraction until day of private scan.

bubblybrit · 25/07/2021 17:56

@Beleeve. I’m sure you’ll have it covered. Sounds as if you had a good night out!
