** Better out than in, obvs

SLCxxx · 08/07/2021 07:26

@bez91 I’m so glad your okay, so sorry about the ectopic (probably), but nice that they will finally start looking into what’s going on with you. If you get another BFP on the mean time will you call GP for progesterone? I know it wouldn’t have made a difference if this was ectopic, but having lost 3 it’s definitely within your rights to request. I hope you and your OH really are okay, it doesn’t feel like it now but you will have your beautiful rainbow in your arms one day. Sending you hugs xx

elsimo · 08/07/2021 10:12

Well guys my boobs were so very painful and that has disappeared over night and this past 2 days I have just had “that” feeling that everything is not ok. I’m six weeks tommorow which is that stage my other mc stopped growing so I think we are going down the same path.
I have a early scan booked for 8 weeks but thinking on moving it to 7 to put me out of my misery xx

davidrosejumper · 08/07/2021 10:31

@bez91, oh dear, that is horrible. Thank God you were paying good attention to yourself and got medical intervention. Two of my friends got into serious medical trouble over ectopics, with it being caught much later. I am sorry this pregnancy did not work out for you, and relieved you are being referred now. Very much hope that the tests can give you answers. It did for us.

@susiebluebell, it is good to hear I am not the only one! We have the scan next Friday to check for viability after which they will put me on medication. If that one is successful, we are going to tell DP's parents and sister, so I can prevent the food-thing from happening again and have some more real life support around me. I am really happy to read that your new diet is working out so well for you. Lovely to see it having such a positive effect so soon.

davidrosejumper · 08/07/2021 10:36

@elsimo, I would move it to 7 weeks. Once you have that feeling that something is amiss, it is going to ruin the next two weeks for you. So in your position, I would try to move it forward.

Hope things are alright, and try not to worry too much. Symptoms can come and go.

SLCxxx · 08/07/2021 10:55

@elsimo I’m 6weeks and 3 days today, felt like all my symptoms were gone on monday (6weeks exactly) and today I woke up feeling so sick with a really sore boob, lol. I understand exactly how you feel. I have a uss on sat 6+5, my last one didn’t grow past 6 weeks but MC at 8+5.. so it’s horrible thinking the baby has passed and your still pregnant for over 2 more weeks. I hope everything is okay when you do go for your USS, I agree that I would make it earlier

elsimo · 08/07/2021 12:19

Thanks guys :) @SLCxxx thats what has happened in my previous mc’s they stop at 6 weeks ish but I don’t bleed until 8-9 weeks.
Urghh I think I will move it, i’m just worried about getting a heartbeat at 7 weeks, I felt like 8 weeks would give me a more clear answer xx

susiebluebell · 08/07/2021 21:03

@elsimo I've got everything crossed for you that it's just a normal dip in symptoms! xx

Beleeve · 08/07/2021 22:12

Completely off on a tangent here but how does covid affect early pregnancy does anyone know?

I haven't had any discharge the past day but now my partner has to isolate as he's had close contact with someone with covid so i have something new to stress about 🙄

Loz2467 · 08/07/2021 22:33

@Beleeve I hope your husband is okay. Is he getting a PCR test done? How many weeks are you? My friend had Covid at 6 weeks pregnant and it caused no issues. The placenta isn’t attached fully etc then is it? As far as I’m aware. My story was different as I was 12 weeks when I caught it. I wish I was brave enough to share my story on my Instagram story just to try and help other women and create some awareness but I’m not brave enough 😢 xx

Beleeve · 08/07/2021 22:48

Hi @Loz2467 Oh no 😢 i don't know your story but sorry if i've triggered bad memories xx

He's taken a home test and was negative but he has got symptoms. I'm sure it will be fine i'm just a stresshead. Plus i tested rediculously early before my period was due so am only 4 weeks x

Loz2467 · 08/07/2021 22:53

@Beleeve maybe just get him to get a PCR test so you know for sure but don’t worry. It’s still like an embryo isn’t it just implanting. :) just plenty rest and water like you would usually do. I know it’s hard not to over think but try not to.

bez91 · 09/07/2021 06:27

@elsimo yes 3 in a row now. Definitely @susiebluebell in a way I'm glad I had to go to EPU as it meant they officially "diagnosed" MC no3 as daft as that sounds so I'm not battling with my GP.

@SLCxxx thank you 💕 I've been thinking that about progesterone if I get another BFP, will they generally give a prescription do you think or I assumed maybe not if you've been referred for recurrent MC. It's probably a postcode lottery

Thank you, Glad you got a scan booked @davidrosejumper really hoping for you 🤞🏼

@elsimo sorry to hear you feel your symptoms have subsided. It's so hard at that stage of pregnancy to know at what stage to do an early scan for lots of reasons 💕

Thanks for your help ladles, unfortunately I ended up bleeding today so confirmed chemical pregnancy :( I just feel so gutted and down. I worry that there is something wrong that the egg won't stick around. My OH doesn't seem bothered at all, I suppose hes right in saying at least its happened now instead of later down the line. Well here we go again. Onto the next cycle to try again. Baby dust to you all xx

bubblybrit · 09/07/2021 19:53

Sorry I’ve been a bit absent from this thread for a while. Had to take some time out to have serious heart to hearts with DH.

He admitted he was worried about having a second child due to strain on finances and already having so little time to ourselves with the one child.

We wrote a separate list of pros and cons and then had numerous conversations (which were quite frank at times).

The pros for us outweigh the cons so we have decided to TTC again. DH is still a little apprehensive and there will be some comprises that need to be made but we are now actively trying. Had my peak on Tuesday so now pretty much in the tww.

The thread moves so fast so I’ve not fully caught up but wanted to say congratulations to all the BFPs and sorry to any new members who have recently suffered a loss.

bubblybrit · 09/07/2021 19:54

*compromises that should say!

Beleeve · 09/07/2021 21:11

Oh no @Quinn26 are you sure? I am such a stresshead when it's happening to me but you see things a bit more rationally when it's happening to someone else. With my 2nd baby i had all sorts or red/brown spotting starting at 3 weeks and ending with one HUGE bleed at 7 weeks but baby was fine. How much have you bled?

Quinn26 · 09/07/2021 21:20

Unfortunately @Beleeve, its pretty much like I'm on my period now :( I guess this time wasn't meant to be x

Beleeve · 09/07/2021 21:34

Aah @Quinn26 i feel for you i really do, having just gone through it i know how hard it is. It is such an upsetting, traumatic thing to go through so don't be too hard on yourself x

Have you got an early pregnancy unit in your area you can call so they can take bloods to confirm?

susiebluebell · 09/07/2021 22:29

@bubblybrit Glad to see you again, and good that you're on the same page again. Fingers crossed for your tww! Smile

@Quinn26 Sorry that it's been confirmed as a chemical, lovely xxx

bubblybrit · 10/07/2021 07:33

Thanks @susiebluebell. How are you getting on?

Quinn26 · 10/07/2021 08:38

@Beleeve yeah I did call them but they said since my bleeding was heavy they would suspect a chemical so didn't need to see me. They just said test in a week or two. I've had some sore cramps overnight so just need to accept it and move on. Thanks @susiebluebell hope you are well x

Beleeve · 10/07/2021 09:11

Oh! That surprises me as i thought with any miscarriage,no matter when it happens, they need to confirm it's complete. Maybe that's just my experience and others on here would say different?

Hope you're holding up ok @Quinn26 I can't imagine how sad you must be feeling. I had a really short luteal phase before my miscarriage and apparently miscarriage can kind of re-set everything. So i rationalised that maybe that miscarriage happened for a reason, to set the stage for the next pregnancy. Might sound silly, but made me feel a bit better and like it wasn't all for nothing x

bez91 · 10/07/2021 09:43

@bubblybrit glad to hear you're both on the same page now, it's such a rollercoaster. Are you changing tact on anything? Trying to chill out? 🙈 we tried that last month no tracking, it's worked just obviously didn't end well.

@Quinn26 really sorry to hear that, sounds like we're at exactly the same stage. I'm now CD6 after chemical.

@Beleeve it differs on circumstances, it's difficult to confirm it's complete at such an early stage, I think that's why they don't see everyone. There shouldn't be any issues that early with anything being retained as in reality there is so little. My first and third MC I was about 6 weeks with the first and didn't need to go to EPU. This time round they admitted me because of suspected ectopic although only about 5 weeks so it really depends.

Got a text from my GP which was unexpected also saying she is also referring me to recurrent miscarriage clinic so feels nice things are 'moving' albeit at a snail pace 🍾🥳

@bez91. I did use OPKs this month but I’m trying to be a little more chilled. Adamant that I’m going to enjoy each day rather than letting TTC consume me. I’ll not be furiously googling early pregnancy symptoms for sure. I’ve just had a quick scan through the thread and I’m so sorry to read that things haven’t ended well for you. Good news that you are being referred though. Fingers crossed it doesn’t take too long x
