So sorry @bez91 sending you a virtual hug!

Thank you! @susiebluebell that’s helpful with the stats. Now I know my results of the loss it isn’t so much it happening again - although I know that would be a very anxious 9 months now it’s more getting pregnant again. I’ve convinced myself there is something wrong with one of us and it’s not going to happen 😩 I don’t even know why I’ve done this. I also know that the vaccine has definitely affected this cycle which has bothered me too.

SLCxxx · 05/07/2021 11:58

@bez91 I’m so sorry! Any pregnancy loss is a pregnancy loss so I can’t see how they can’t count it as a MC because it issues sending you hugs xx

SLCxxx · 05/07/2021 11:58

*is (not issues)

susiebluebell · 05/07/2021 13:43

@Loz2467 I feel the same way. It feels like falling pregnant last summer was a fluke, and it'll never happen again. I actually feel like less of a woman sometimes, I know that's awful and I would never say it to anyone else, but it's how I feel. Struggling to conceive can really take a toll on my self-image... xx

Beleeve · 05/07/2021 14:44

So i'm 9dpo and have been spotting mainly brown with the odd bits of dark red since 5dpo. Have taken a couple of internet cheapies which were as negative as can be but just taken an early test and got the attached.

I'm freaking now! I'm guessing it's pointless me speaking to the early pregnancy unit as i'm not even 4 weeks so they can't do anything.

I've obv miscarried last month but also had a pregnancy where i bled week 4 - 7 and all was ok. So don't know how to feel or what (if anything) i should be doing!!

I suspect my issue with falling pregnant/miscarrying is hormone related so if anything can be done i don't want to wait too long. When do you think i can call for advice?

@susiebluebell I’m so sorry you are feeling this way too. I can completely emphasise with you. It’s so hard to pick yourself up and “relax” and “think positive” but I just can’t right now. I should be ovulating this week and I’m not even feeling the feel good hormones! I just feel a mess constantly and just so consumed! I pray we all get there soon!

davidrosejumper · 05/07/2021 21:46

@Beleeve, what a beautiful second line! Perhaps you can call EPU or community midwives anyway (or GP) to ask whether you should take anything? The worst they can say is no. Also, you might want to try the Tommy's midwife helpline to see what they say in terms of hormones, in case the others come up with no response. I have found Tommy's hugely sympathetic and helpful so far.

@susiebluebell, I am so sorry that these thoughts are creeping in. The whole TTC/pregnancy journey is just such a hugely destabilising experience. It is really hard to prevent it becoming all-consuming and this measuring stick of how good life is. You know that whatever happens, it has no bearing on the value of you as a person and a woman. I really hope your luck will turn soon. Flowers

susiebluebell · 05/07/2021 22:16

Thank you both lovelies @Loz2467 and @davidrosejumper I am quite happy tonight actually as I've just had AF start - after a 28-day cycle, which I can't remember having ever! My pre-MC norm was 34 days and as you know, it's been really irregular. It's all down to the dietary changes. Couldn't be happier.

(Well one thing would make me happier but you know what I mean!)

bez91 · 06/07/2021 03:25

That's good news @susiebluebell you have to take these little wins of 'normality' don't you! Hopefully all good signs 😊

Loz2467 · 06/07/2021 09:17

@susiebluebell that’s great news! A 28 day cycle. It’s about taking the positives isn’t it! 🙌🏼 Now onto the next one! 🙏 was it you Susie who said you’ve known plenty of couples have Covid and still manage to conceive? I don’t know why it’s such a worry of mine. Mainly on the men’s behalf. X

Beleeve · 06/07/2021 09:31

Thank you @davidrosejumper it is a clear line isn't it! Which i'm surprised at only 9dpo. I'm testing every day with a combination of cheapie and stick tests (cheapie one i think may have had a very faint line this morning) because i want to see if the line progresses and because i am crazy Confused

I need to call the doctors for something else today so think i'll ask if they will do blood tests. There was nothing this morning but just went to the loo and there was brown with bits in (sorry) again. This is going to drive me nuts!!

Loz2467 · 06/07/2021 10:02

@Beleeve congrats on your positive! It is a lovely line!!! I had implantation with my first pregnancy which was successful. I actually had it from 5dpo right up until about 14 weeks. Brown is old and is a good sign. 🙏 is ring the GP anyway and I’m sure they will do what they can to help and reassure you.

Capricorn8990 · 06/07/2021 10:07

@Beleeve that is a good line! I hear that bleeding is very common but of course if you've experienced loss before it can be scary. Maybe you can contact your GP to discuss concerns? Xx

Capricorn8990 · 06/07/2021 10:09

My period only stopped on 04/07 but I am still having bloody discharge and I took an ovulation test and it's got two lines (not sure how they work!) I usually use CB.. does this mean I'm near ovulation? Xx

Hi Ladies,

I'm looking for some advice as I think I may be having a Chemical :( I have attached my progression lines and todays looks lighter and thinner than Sundays. I phoned EPU to see if I can get bloods done but they have told me to wait a week and test again. Has anyone had experience when these lines turned out to be good news? I have a MC in January and I'm gutted I might be having another :(

Beleeve · 06/07/2021 11:47

@Quinn26 how long have you left the most recent one, maybe it needs time to be as darker as the previous one. 13 def looks darker than 11.

I just called my doctor about my spotting and they've given me a local helpline so try calling they may do the same for you x

Quinn26 · 06/07/2021 11:51

Thanks @Beleeve for your reply. I took 13dpo on Sunday and 15dpo this morning so I would have thought maybe there should have been some progression or look as similar to 13dpo. I think I'll give it this week to see if AF appears if not maybe test again on Monday. I have a CB Digital but ill hold off using it. Thanks I may try calling my GP too for advice

SLCxxx · 06/07/2021 16:30

@Quinn26 I know a lot of ppl swear by FRER but there was no real difference to the test I done 14DPO and the one I did 9days after that one, made me worry. I had strip pregnancy tests which showed the daily progression (used OPKs before that). And done a CB which was such a strong line compared to the FRER. Maybe use a different brand tomo morning?

Beleeve · 06/07/2021 17:34

Yeah despite the clear line on my FRER the internet cheapie ones i am using only had the faintest of lines if you really squinted (if i hadn't have had my FRER positive i would have binned it as a negative) So i think if you used those you'd see the difference more.

Quinn26 · 06/07/2021 17:38

Thanks @SLCxxx I'm going to hold off if I can until Sunday when I will technically be 1 week late. I've calmed down a bit now, my emotions are all over the place, im guessing its hormones! I really do need to relax Smile and stop googling everything!

susiebluebell · 06/07/2021 21:59

@Loz2467 No I don't think that was me saying about Covid and conception!

@Capricorn8990 If your period stopped two days ago then it's extremely unlikely that you're ovulating already. The strips measure LH (luteinising hormone) which we always have a bit of, and it does fluctuate throughout the cycle. It could be that you have naturally high levels of LH. Wait and do another tomorrow?? Hope that helps.

@Quinn26 I agree that test lines do go quite dark after a few hours, so it might just be that the older ones are darker because they've aged! Good that you've decided on a day to test again. Sending hugs and baby dust x

davidrosejumper · 07/07/2021 09:15

@Twinkles18, it sounds like you are doing lots. My partner and I did SMEP this cycle. I also followed the 'It starts with the egg' book recommendations. So, no booze, no caffeine, trying to avoid plastics and some harsh cosmetics, etc. while TTC.

Turns out pregnancy losses make you a little crazy. I accidentally had two bites of a medium rare burger this weekend at a dinner at my in-laws. This was followed by a breakdown on how I can never get things right, probably poisoned the embryo, don't deserve to ever be a mum, etc. I googled for hours (just freaking myself out more), called helplines, burst into tears several times, etc. Seriously, things went a bit mad, shocking both DP and me. Turns out the previous two losses have hit me hard. I have been able to regain a little sanity now, but it wasn't pretty (and I wasted two days of work, so goodbye upcoming weekend).

bez91 · 07/07/2021 16:04

Thanks ladies, had a bit of a nightmare with the MC, ended up in EPU yesterday most of the day with shoulder pain and suspected ectopic, the sonographer said there was quite a a bit of tissue around the opening to one of my Fallopian tubes which could have been where an ectopic has come away which is quite rare but obviously lucky but they don't know for certain. All ok anyway and because my 3rd MC they said they would refer me which is a positive, almost as happy about that as a BFP 🙄

@davidrosejumper oh gosh 😆 hopefully you won't loose it again and you have a healthy pregnancy

@Quinn26 it's hard to say to be honest the only way of knowing is to test again later. Hope you're ok.

Awww @bez91 I’m gutted for u :(
But I’m glad ur ok and even more delighted u are being reffered. I’m keeping myself sane by thinking if I do MC again then at least I got pregnant and at least I will be reffered.
Is that 3 in a row?
Sorry you are having to go thru all this again xxx

susiebluebell · 07/07/2021 20:50

@davidrosejumper Ah, you've had one of 'those' episodes Grin Better out that in. I had a massive episode some months back, me and DP both thought I'd pretty much got over the miscarriage and then BAM! Uncontrollable crying and despair. It will get easier xx

@bez91 I don't know whether to congratulate or commiserate! It's great that you've been referred. Sorry that it came to this.... If you know what I mean xx
