Here we are again... thread 19. Not sure if any of you ladies are here from thread 1. I think I've been around since about thread 5.

@re6ecca why does it all have to take so long 😩.
@susiebluebell that is interesting, worth a try!

re6ecca · 30/06/2021 21:52

@Wishingfornumber2 I just don't know, it just feels like its taking forever

bez91 · 01/07/2021 06:59

That's really interesting @susiebluebell have you made big diet changes then and have you noticed the difference yet with your PCOS?

Tested this morning after waking up with sore boobs. There is 2 lines but it's not big or fat and so probably a chemical so carrying on as if nothing has happened.

Omg @bez91, my fingers and toes are crossed for you 🤞🏻🤞🏻 Are going going to test again tomo? Yes I dropped it down the toilet while trying to pee on a stick 🙈🤣 hasn’t stopped me though! Thank you, I will look that book up.

@Marvellouslymadmum I’m sorry about AF! Is GP referring you to the fertility clinic yet?

The only thing I did differently last month was cut out alcohol (so @susiebluebell might be on to something about sugar there), slept with the fertilily (lined with preseed) in for my 2 fertile days, and started taking halland & Barrets Co-Q10. I think it was the fertilily & preseed

SLCxxx · 01/07/2021 07:40

@re6ecca I’m so sorry for your losses, glad they are at least investigating now though. Did you ever have progesterone pessaries?

Marvellouslymadmum · 01/07/2021 08:09

@bez91 keeping everything crossed for you!

@SLCxxx I was referred for fertility issues back in March and they said it would be November when I got to see someone, but my letter came through for august in the end, so two months to go!

@re6ecca sorry you've had to go through this again, it really is good they're investigating now though

SLCxxx · 01/07/2021 08:15

@bez91 use a OPK! Mine went darker each day, was better than the FRER

SLCxxx · 01/07/2021 08:22

@Marvellouslymadmum I’m so glad! Hopefully they will have some answers xx

bez91 · 01/07/2021 09:43

Thanks ladies 💕
@SLCxxx may leave it until Saturday to retest 🤔 feeling very pessimistic. Haven't told DH yet as he left for work early.
@Marvellouslymadmum I suppose that's better than expected and that's something!

davidrosejumper · 01/07/2021 11:11

Hi @bez91, I am in a similar situation. I tested yesterday morning on FRER, and there was a line, but vague. I tested this morning on ClearBlue digital, and it says 'pregnant 1-2 weeks'. I am now going to stop POAS-ing, hoping that AF won't show up, and then test again next week Thursday to see if there is a progression to 2-3 weeks.

We are so jaded, both of us just felt ambivalent. There is something both exciting and terrifying about seeing those lines and wondering how either this is going to finally result in a baby who is coming home, or this is once again going to cause us so much hurt.

bez91 · 01/07/2021 12:04

@davidrosejumper my line very vague too. I agree, I feel sick to the pit of my stomach to be honest which sounds so strange and ungrateful. I might try a digital on Saturday as that when AF due.

OP posts:
susiebluebell · 01/07/2021 17:26

@bez91 and @davidrosejumper It's so strange isn't it, not really a true celebration. I suppose it's actually just more realistic though. It can be so misleading that getting a BFP = baby. But none of us find that out until we lose a pregnancy 😔

Bez - yeah I'm slowly making some fairly big changes. I don't know whether it was coincidence, but I did get AF after a week of no sugar or gluten. Since then I've had a lot of travelling and things to do, so haven't been as hot on it. But it's definitely the way to go for those with PCOS, so I'm looking to make it a real lifestyle change.

Marvellouslymadmum · 01/07/2021 19:46

@SLCxxx I'm hoping they'll send me for a laparoscopy to check for endometriosis they suspect I have it and adenomyosis so if they do that and remove as much as possible that'll be good.

@bez91 yes it's an improvement so I'll take that

@davidrosejumper keeping everything crossed for you

re6ecca · 02/07/2021 21:16

@SLCxxx hey they haven't given me any pessary but they plan to at the end of the month after my next appointment, although I'm worried if I get pregnant this month (currently in the TWW) ill have MC no5

SLCxxx · 03/07/2021 08:37

@bez91 @davidrosejumper how exciting! I used OPKs and could literally see the line getting darker each day which was reassuring

@re6ecca maybe you could call them if you get a positive test, or your GP just to get a prescription for the progesterone?

SLCxxx · 03/07/2021 08:49

@Marvellouslymadmum I’m sure they will, especially since you are already clued up and know what your symptoms point to. Now it’s just the month and half wait, hope it flys by for you 💕

Marvellouslymadmum · 03/07/2021 09:02

@re6ecca I would agree with @SLCxxx if you get that bfp straight on the phone to gp!

@SLCxxx I'm trying to write everything down so I'm all prepared when it comes to it!

re6ecca · 03/07/2021 09:32

Thats my plan hoping that we get a positive! Not feeling too hopeful as PMS is coming on

MeganChar1 · 03/07/2021 09:44

Hi I’m 6dpo, I’m new to tracking and had some pink spotting yesterday along with mild cramping, bloating and urinating frequently. Following my mmc in Jan I’m having some tests for hormonal problems due to my thyroid disease (under control now) but tests have also shown borderline low progesterone and high prolactin so these are getting re-tested next cycle (providing I’m not pg), I know these problems can impact luteal phase. Has anyone else experienced anything similar? I’m really trying not to get hopes up

CeebeeUS5 · 03/07/2021 14:01

@LauraLivs1986 I feel the same way. I had Covid in February and usually get pregnant on the first try. It didn’t happen last month (first month trying) and I’m so afraid something is wrong :(

Loz2467 · 03/07/2021 14:59

@CeebeeUS5 I’m the same 😩 I’ve tried 2/3 times now and nothing. I’ve spoken to a friend who works in the hospital with obstetrics and there are some women there who have all had Covid and are now pregnant. I mean I can’t see how a virus could cause anything. It is like flu. I do totally understand it having a temporary affect on sperm though as I know influenza does. 😩 just not what we need with the stress of TTC.

I also had my first vaccine on Thursday so I think it will throw this cycle off a bit. My CM is already different to how it “should” be this cycle. Has anyone had the vaccine and noticed a change in cycle? Like late ovulation or period?

CeebeeUS5 · 03/07/2021 15:45

@Loz2467 I had both vaccines for Pfizer in March and April. My ovulation was 3 days off with the first one (could have been Covid though) or the stress of my whole family getting Covid, including my kids.

That’s encouraging others have gotten pregnant! I don’t see how it could effect it either but I’m just stressed and want to be pregnant right away! With my d and c and now Covid I’m just so worried something could be wrong and i just turned 35 which doesn’t help my anxiety.

My OB is really nice and gave me bloodwork for day 21 to check progesterone and then if im not pregnant will do day 3 bloodwork and a saline ultrasound to make sure I don’t have scaring from the d and c - she said this is highly unlikely but if it will ease my fears I can do it.

So I had day 21 bloodwork today and hopefully I’ll get a BFP next week and won’t need anything else! Maybe we can be cycle buddies and check in with each other

Loz2467 · 03/07/2021 16:39

@CeebeeUS5 that’s reassuring you’ve had both. I Had pfizer too. I was worried about everything and anything! After what we’ve been through I just over thing a lot!

I’m the same: I already know my CM isn’t matching up this cycle like it should and I’m due on on my due date 😩 so I really wanted a smooth cycle. I’ve been so stressed as we got the results on Monday as to why we lost our baby and I struggled at work - then my little boy got send home from nursery and had to have a Covid test. So I had to take time off work and I’ve been so stressed. We’ve literally just got the negative results which means we can go to a christening tomorrow where we are godparents. So it’s just been one stress after another and all related to Covid. 😩

That’s amazing you are getting those tests done - it just helps to ease the anxiety doesn’t it. Mines agreed to do the 21 day check too. It might be a while to come through though so I’m not sure what cycle I’ll manage to get it done on. Everything is slow here in the UK.

Fingers crossed for your positive! Sending baby dust! My ovulation would normally be next Thursday but like I say I think it’s delayed due to my CM would of normally started changing now and I’ve been so stressed which is the worst isn’t it. Sounds bad but I never feel too hopeful because I feel consistently let down.

Marvellouslymadmum · 03/07/2021 17:28

@Loz2467 @CeebeeUS5 ladies I've seen lots of people on mn who have got pg after having Covid, it can effect sperm health for a while but not seen anything say about women's fertility, whereas the mc rate for people that get Covid is high. As for not getting pg straight away - every pregnancy is totally different! I have two children both of which I fell pregnant with straight away, this time I got pg 4 years ago which sadly ended in mc then we ttc again since april 2018 so over 3 years, in that time there's been one more mc. It can take a very long time and misscarriages and chemical pregnancies can throw your cycles of an awful lot so it's difficult to know your ovulation dates even with opk and bbt but eventually you will get back to what is normal cycles for you and you have more chance again. Oh amd also I know quite a few ladies who's cycles have been lengthened the month they got their jab mine included - was 50 days last cycle
For me on the second vax!

Loz2467 · 03/07/2021 18:03

@Marvellouslymadmum this is really helpful thank you! I agree - I was spiralling through anxiety thinking there was something wrong with me when 2/3 months of trying isn’t a lot at all. I think when you’ve been through a loss like us ladies it’s hard to kind of trust your body again. Which sounds terrible doesn’t it but I’ve read so many stories which I wouldn’t of been aware of pre baby loss it’s made me in panic mode. Not about TTC just everything! Unfortunately we learned on Monday that it was Covid that cost us our loss. It’s devastated me even more!!! I knew in the back of my mind as the baby stopped growing at 14.5 weeks and I had Covid at 12/13 weeks. Found out at a gender scan at 17 weeks so MMC. All Covid things just trigger me so much more now. It’s not even been a week since our results and I’m in a dark place. Thanks for the heads up about the cycle - I was back to a regular 28 day and wish I got the vaccine months ago when my cycles were wonky anyway. Kinda gutted I didn’t get it over and done with. I’m 35 next month too. Xx
