Here we are again... thread 19. Not sure if any of you ladies are here from thread 1. I think I've been around since about thread 5.

@Lollipop25 that’s amazing news! I will have a glass of wine this evening to celebrate for you Grin if you don’t mind can you remind us of your story to explain your happy ending. Congratulations! When was your AF due? Xxx

davidrosejumper · 28/05/2021 15:25

@Lollipop25, that is great!
@RichmondLady1981, congrats on your milestone! Up to the next one :)

Lollipop25 · 28/05/2021 16:15

Hi @Loulou237 I had a mc on my 1st in 2009, healthy DD in 2010, and Ds in 2012. In September 2021 came off the pill, pregnant in feb but miscarried at 5/6 weeks. Cycles were all over the place then, went from 28/29 days to 35 in March and 33 April. Used CB opks for last 2 cycles got no smiley face so just assumed I wasn't ovulating 🤷🏼‍♀️ tested this morning cd36 and BFP, took a digital this afternoon , it's not FMU but it's positive too . Still wary though it's early days. 🤗 there's always hope, keep trying.

Hi @Lollipop25 thank you for your story that’s amazing news. Hoping for an easy pregnancy for you Smile xxx

RichmondLady1981 · 28/05/2021 16:47

@bez91 yes! They come in 200 capsules and took three per day. 👍

The usual pregnacare and high dose vitamin D which were also SOLGAR brand. I conceived all three times during sunny periods and allowed sun exposure on my skin. I really think vitamin D is important. I went for a vit D test in Jan and it came out low so knew it was something to address.

More and more research is coming out regarding the importance of vitamin D with conception and during pregnancy to avoid miscarriage. The consultant at Great Portland told me yesterday to keep taking it throughout pregnancy as there has been a link to miscarriage and low vitamin D. There are so many rubbish brands and that’s the problem. You also need to take vitamin D with your fattiest meal for it to be effective. I was taking mine on an empty tummy first thing in the morning and consultant said that was a waste of time.

Al the best 😘

Thanks @Marvellouslymadmum & @susiebluebell It's lovely to have someone to share the news with other than DH🥰 won't be telling family for a good while yet.

RichmondLady1981 · 30/05/2021 07:14

Congratulations @Lollipop25 🙏🏼

gizmo167 · 30/05/2021 17:14

@Lollipop25 ooh thats brilliant news hun, big congrats x

@RichmondLady1981 lovely update, must be such a relief to get to that point, hope you are able to relax & enjoy rest of pregnancy xx

I'm 9+5 today, after a horrendous day of nausea on Friday yesterday and today are really mild, has me worried bc it shouldn't be starting to ease already, scared its not good news, really hope my midwife appointment is organised soon so I can get some reassurance!

Loulou237 · 30/05/2021 18:03

Hi @gizmo167 I was wondering how you’ve been doing! This happened to me all the time in my first pregnancy (that resulted in my dd) it’s like the hormones go up and you feel terrible then your body processes them and they level off so you feel okish and then they get worse again. Also mine started to get better after around 9 weeks so I’d have a few good days a week. Try to relax although I know it’s impossible to after a loss, and with pregnancy in general! Xxx

RichmondLady1981 · 30/05/2021 20:18

@gizmo167 it’s happened to me on and off. I googled it and it’s quite common. Trust me, enjoy it because it’s likely to come back and get you again soon! 😂. Everything crossed for you. 💕

Marvellouslymadmum · 31/05/2021 00:40

@gizmo167 I really wouldn't worry, I had some nausea here and there with my daughter but only slight and was only sick twice, compared to my son it was a breeze and she was a perfectly healthy baby no complications

Loll35 · 31/05/2021 15:52

@gizmo167 I'm 10+3 and the nausea seemed to be less intense from around 9 weeks which did worry me but from reading I think its fairly common so trying not to overthink it. Have had a couple of days out and about over w/e and felt ok, however I had a horrible dizzy & sweaty turn in tescos this morning, pretty much wiped me out so now resting - which is frustrating when it's such a beautiful day! I have my booking in appt on Thursday. Still hoping and praying everything is OK 🙏

chloedancer897 · 31/05/2021 22:49

@RichmondLady1981 thank you so much for staying in touch and giving us your amazing story! Can you list what supplements you took? Was it just vitamin D and CoQ10? What dose of vit D?xx

gizmo167 · 01/06/2021 11:07

Thanks everyone, nausea is back with a vengeance at nights!! Not too bad all weekend during day but back at work today and feel a bit crap! Really praying its a good thing, getting desperate now to hear from midwife and scan!!

RichmondLady1981 · 01/06/2021 14:07

@gizmo167 glad to hear it’s back (in the nicest possible way 😂). It’s completely normal for you to feel anxious after what you’ve been through. I totally understand how you feel. I’m now 12+3 and feel much more energetic. Instead of seeing it as a positive I’m constantly wondering if everything’s ok. We have no choice really but to try and stay positive and just keep up to date with our appointments. Take care 💕

RichmondLady1981 · 01/06/2021 14:08

@susiebluebell of course I will. Everything crossed for you my dear. X

bez91 · 02/06/2021 06:33

Hope everyone is well 😊

AF arrived yesterday as expected, first of the month for CD1 which fits with me quite nicely if any silver lining 😆 on to month 13... ditched the OPKs, BBT. Had my fertility appointment yesterday for AMH, internal scan, DHs SA etc and consultant app next week to discuss results. Trying to focus on other things this month 🤞🏼

Marvellouslymadmum · 02/06/2021 10:39

@bez91 sorry af showed, good about the tests etc though! I've got to wait for my scan results until Monday as the docs only in yesterday and Friday and fully booked! No idea if or when I've ovulated as my charts and opk are all over the place again and so no idea when af is due 🤷🏼‍♀️

davidrosejumper · 02/06/2021 13:49

@bez91, Fantastic that you are now getting all the tests to move forward! Try to enjoy the phenomenal weather (if in the UK).

gizmo167 · 02/06/2021 17:55

After lengthy calls with Dr surgery & hospital I now have an appointment for my scan & booking, next Fri 11th, I will be 11+3 at that time! Seems appointment letter was posted to me on 30th April so just as well I did chase it up! Will be so glad to finally get scan & hopefully all OK to put my mind at rest!

susiebluebell · 02/06/2021 21:20

@bez91 and @gizmo167 So glad both of you have got yourself appointments. Fingers crossed for you both :) xx

Marvellouslymadmum · 02/06/2021 22:51

@gizmo167 that's great news! Hope it all goes well for you

susiebluebell · 04/06/2021 08:38

Well, I am on cd61 😴 Definitely not pregnant, as I've taken a test. Still playing phone tag with the GP to get tested for PCOS, but in my mind I'm certain, as it explains everything.

Even before my mc, I'd occasionally have irregular cycles, although the mc has made it much worse.

I've discovered Kym Campbell and the Beat PCOS Diet, which as a long-term lifestyle change seems to be the only way to truly manage the symptoms. I'm slowly coming to terms with the fact that I might have very little dairy, white carbs, or sugar in my future! 🤪

Sooo many ladies have gone on to conceive after making those lifestyle changes, so there's a mix of positivity and resignation, feeling a bit 'why is it always me?' about it. I know it's not always me, and others are having a much harder time with health and TTC, but I just feel so ready, and it feels like a kick in the teeth that my body isn't ready.
