Ttc #1 - cycle 7

Really fed up of AF showing up month after month now 🤦🏼‍♀️ we've been taking the see what happens but dtd lots approach. But now going into month 7 so We've decided to use the clear blue opk's to see if it gives us a better chance. 🤷🏼‍♀️
Now to just wait for AF to disappear 😀

@AZ1992X I always think that if you have something arranged then testing is a must as it makes you feel less worried in a sense. Although it's still horrible. My opks are never as white as a pregnancy test lol.

@Amy259 it's fun knowing pregnant folk as its a nice excuse to look at stuff but it's really difficult at the same time as you constantly go 'oh I'd have that... Maybe I could get that...' and then its too much. We went into a shop whilst in Edinburgh atm and dh was like ooh this is cute. I like the fact that he is happy to look (whilst we try to find something for his sister) is good but he said a lot of' I'd get that for our kid' and such like. It's like but we don't have.

OK I'm a bit weirded out as that's now 3dpo and I have light ewcm. I'm like do I keep doing it incase I'm fertile or is it something else? Obvs not pregnancy as it wouldn't have settled yet at all

@Loops01 how strange- have you though about doing a opk test just to check?

If it carries on near AF that would be good.

No haven't thought about that. Will do one when home but after almost a 2 high on the expected day I dropped to 0.38 within a day or so I think. Will check when home later! It's weird.

@Loops01 yeah much too early for it being anything to do with the outcome I would think. According to the book I read, your cm stays ewcm consistency until your temp goes up - it’s the change in temp that changes the consistency apparently, because you’re hotter internally. I’ve never looked into the research behind that but if it is true, maybe your temp just hasn’t gone up quite yet?

Either way - I would dtd until my cm changed to creamy!

Opk still a high 0.3 which is normal in comparison to other cycles.

@Amy259 I wish I was hotter on the outside too lol! Will see how long it lasts. Its not loads but every other wipe maybe?

Had my bloods, hoping they won’t take too long to get back (expect it’ll be Monday I’ll find out as they’ll be closed after tomorrow)

@AZ1992X nothing today so far so maybe that's it stopped. No other cm to note. Trying to remember how much cm I get at this stage normally.

Fingers crossed re the bloods. What were they all testing for?

@Loops01 ah okays! , I don’t have much but tends to be creamier when I do.

They wanted repeat my estrogen and progesterone at different point in my cycle (i.e after ovulation) then thyroid just to rule that out. If they ok they won’t do any further tests until next year once I hit one year from my MC assuming I don’t conceive before.

@Loops01 I’m the same as AZ, just a little creamy cm after ov. That’s how I confirm it if I’m not temping, and just dtd every 2 days until I see it.

We dtd last night to celebrate our reunion 😂 it was so lovely because normally at this time it’s just baby making dtd so it was nice to have normal, fun times (that just happens to be in fw). So hopefully every other day at least now over the weekend and into next week.

So it was super speedy - the GP just called me.

Estrogen absolutely fine.

Progesterone levels he says should are:
Under 15 - probably haven’t ovulated
Over 30 - highly likely you ovulated

Said mine was annoyingly in the middle at 21. I think I did as my bbt has risen but he wants repeat again. He said he’s not too worried though and unless it’s lower they probably won’t do anything.

@AZ1992X of course it was in the middle - why would anything be simple?

They must’ve taken your bloods really close to ov though if you’re about 4/5 DPO now? Isn’t it supposed to be a week later? So maybe that’s got something to do with it, it hadn’t fully risen?

It would only have been 4DPO rather than around a week if you had a standard cycle and ovulate on day 14 which most people don’t!

I think that’s a huge part so not that worried and tbf I have high opks and temp rises so pretty sure I do plus I’ve had a positive before. He didn’t seem worried but just wanted repeat to check again.

My only worry is if I get a bfp again and had another MC could it be that but will cross that when I get a positive - jumping ahead!

@AZ1992X yeah for sure, I think I would feel the exact same as you on all fronts there - definitely worth repeating and having a wee plan in place with the gp for when that next bfp comes, but not getting too stressed about in the meantime.

Earlier I realised the date today - it was 3rd sept last year that I ovulated and fell pregnant with my chemical. Can’t believe it’s been a whole year since that cycle.

Good idea, I don’t feel too worried (well yet) might in few more months if nothing happens. Starting to think April isn’t actually as far away as I thought as that’s when GP would refer me.

Ah really, it’s crazy how quickly they come around. Hope you’re ok! If I’m honest I’m dreading December as that would of been my due month. Hoping I have good news before so it’s not too bad.

@AZ1992X if you got the test before that still sounds decent score wise! I guess it only goes really high when pregnant if I'm right in thinking?

Some creamy cm today finally! Not hopeful for this month though. Just got that feeling. Only 5dpo today. 5 to go! 4 working days! Dragging as usual. Can't get myself into a healthy eating regime either. Will start making a point to exercise by getting up before work every morning for a run I think. Dreading the 430 wakes!! Good thing is that I have my date for changing roles - Nov 22nd! And we get Christmas off together! Its rare!

@Loops01 yes - think it’s normal for how many dpo I was when had it. It gradually rises after ovulation and should hit its highest around a week after unless you conceive then goes even higher.

Not too long to go, think we both 6DPO now - agree it is going slow. Really wish we could find out earlier 😂 could mentally prepare for the next cycle.

Great news about the role change & Christmas!!

Yeah I've take it to Instagram again looking at #6dpo and there's literally a woman at that stage a few yrs ago saying she thought she was pregnant as at 5dpo she had so many symptoms. 9dpo she got her positive. Part of me is like but would I really feel something around this day? Then I think we I feel nothing again so it's clearly a nothing again. So fed up of trying. I am looking forward to the slightly different shifts and hopefully that makes ttc easier but I'm also like how long will this go on. It's never ending. Not received my letter yet from the clinic about the hycosy and scan so unsure if it will be able to be this Yr or not. Everything is just waiting! Are you feeling positive @AZ1992X?

@Loops01 wow that’s early if she thought that - I’d think it’s too early as implantation probably hasn’t happened yet 🤷‍♀️

Hopefully you won’t have too long to wait for your letter. Did they give any indication on time frames?

Im trying to remain positive it will happen but also not getting my hopes up to much. That way any good news would be a nice shock. If I’m honest I don’t think I’ll be happy until the first scan and I saw a heartbeat.

Yeah I heard the other day that if you hear a heartbeat on an early scan your chance of mc drops to 14%! Crazy. Being surrounded by pregnant folk I get some facts...! I've just finished buying clothes and such for my SIL and one of my work friends and I felt fine ish about it all but I came across a surprise type thing for the dad and its like I don't want to tell DH initially (mainly cos I worry that something will go wrong) and I love the idea of a wee surprise type thing but then the thought of it upsets me. Like I'm detached now from others because I'm around it all the time but when I think about the prospect of doing a surprise thing at some point it's like but when. I don't want to buy if it will never happen but then the longer it goes on the more I think I'll never buy it. More likely to get divorced at this rate! Honestly we had an argument at back of 4am because he was not long home from work and I was waiting to get up soon and both of us were so tired and fed up with the wake ups and shifts. Arguing when not even seeing each other because we are both in the dark trying to sleep! 😂 So silly!

@Loops01 ah really! I figured it would drop but didn’t know the stats.

I can understand not wanting to tell him early on until you know things are ok. I cannot imagine both working shifts and ttc - must be so hard and tiring. Like you said hopefully when you swap roles it’ll help!

I hate it. I hate the shifts I hate ttc with them. It's Reay difficult not to jsut go f-it all. But then we'd never have a chance! No symptoms again and due on the 9th so I'm assuming that's another cycle done. How are you?

I’m ok thanks- Nothing here either but guess its still early, just going keep temping and see if it drops.
