Just checking into the new group.

My intro for those who dont know me:

Im early 30s. First pregnancy: found out Sept 2020, baby passed away 10+5 approx, discovered at 12 wk scan. Had MMC surgery 30/11/2020. Now CD2 on first AF after MMC. Aiming to conceive again asap.

PrettyPinkPansies · 24/01/2021 11:05

I'll do a little intro too!

23, and had a MMC start of this Month. This was my second baby, my first baby is currently 4 months old born in September so we fell pregnant again very quick. Hoping for the same again this time as our second was so wanted

bumptobean · 24/01/2021 11:09

Thank you everyone for your messages and I’m truly sorry to you all that we all have gone through this. It’s very reassuring to find a place that seems to ask and answer so many questions that keep going around in my head. X

pixienewbie · 24/01/2021 11:20

Is it ok it I join? I had a MMC in September and surgical management in October (I have a two year old as well.) Driving myself a little crazy trying to conceive again.

ELMcg · 24/01/2021 11:22

@PumpkinEverything thanks for the new thread!

And thanks all for the ovulation test tips, I'll do my research on those today. I use an app that if I'm on a 28 day cycle would work it out for me (it was spot on first time round) however as you all say its pretty common to ovulate late/early as my cycle could be all over the place!

To the new people on the thread, sorry you find yourself here but it's a lovely bunch and so much support!

My story for others is that I had MMC at 13 weeks, baby was only measuring 8ish weeks. Bleeding started 12/12 and I had failed medical management followed by surgical management which was on 17/12. I had very light bleeding afterwards for around 10 days with the odd but of spotting randomly after that. AF arrived for me yesterday with is just over 5 weeks after surgery. So February will hopefully be the month for me.

Hope the above helps others! And I am happy to help make sense of others journeys! ❤️

ELMcg · 24/01/2021 11:34

@NatJ24 is the the clear blue fertility and pregnancy monitor you use? So many options!

PrettyPinkPansies · 24/01/2021 11:37

@NatJ24 @PumpkinEverything sorry girls, how do I find your post on the ovulation test tips? I am new on this app! No idea how it even works!

Pettylamby · 24/01/2021 11:49

Hello everyone,

Just joining on to this thread if that's okay. Little info from me, 33, based in Scotland, first pregnancy ended in MMC in December (scan at 8 weeks but measuring 6 and no HB) had surgical management on 30/12 and started getting ewcm this week and got my peak on Opks. Decided not to try this cycle as I wanted a period to reset my body and help with my anxiety! Hoping for a period soon and then will be back on it.

bez91 · 24/01/2021 11:49

Thanks @PumpkinEverything for the new thread

Seeing as we're doing recaps...
Early 30s, TTC #2, daughter is 3
MC at 6 weeks in September
Conceived again straight away in October
MMC at 11 weeks at start of December and had surgical management
Bled for 2 weeks on and off and AF arrived with a vengeance on 2nd January.
Currently 11dpo waiting to test next week
Using Clearblue OPKs, we were initially not trying not preventing but I think after 2 losses it messes with your head a bit!
Sending good vibes to all 💕

NatJ24 · 24/01/2021 11:52

@ELMcg @PrettyPinkPansies so I used the CB advanced digital ovulation test last time and thats when we fell pregnant. Its the one that gives you the flashing smiley for 'high' and then the static smiley for your 'peak'. When I used it I think I got about 3 or 4 days of a flashing smiley and then I got a static one. I'll use it again because I have a box and just because it worked for us last time so I feel like it was good 🙂

PrettyPinkPansies · 24/01/2021 11:55

@NatJ24 that's great news they worked for you. I'm on day 10 of flashing smileys now. Should I continue do you think? I had three days of low first x

NatJ24 · 24/01/2021 11:57

@PrettyPinkPansies I have just read your post from the other thread and you said you have had 10 days of flashing smiley. I'm not sure but all I could guess at is that your hormones might be a little up and down after the MC. You could just carry on and see if you get the static smiley soon? Or maybe get the easy at home ones and start tracking with them and the app on pre mom will work out your 'peak' then? Some of the others may be able to give better advice, I'm no expert I only used them once last time and they worked haha. I just think after MC your body takes a bit to settle

brushlaptop · 24/01/2021 11:58

Can I join? MC 12th/13th Jan. Have had 4 days flashing smiley which means oestrogen has peaked 🤷‍♀️

PrettyPinkPansies · 24/01/2021 11:59

@NatJ24 yeah I can continue, I can buy another box but it's driving me mad seeing the face flash every day. I just want to see a static ☹️ I've got some cheap one step ones, are these the same as easy at home? Not sure what they are. I have been using Premom to score my cheapies but haven't got over 0.11 yet 😢

PrettyPinkPansies · 24/01/2021 12:00

@brushlaptop welcome! Please let me know how you get on with the clear blue opk. I'm on day 10 and ready to snap the stick in half!

ELMcg · 24/01/2021 12:00

Thanks @NatJ24 that sounds like my type of test nice and easy and clear! 😂 I just fell by chance before but feel like that was probably a fluke!

I will take a look at ordering that as keeps it simple for me. Then once I'm used to it if I need more I might go down the easy at home route to save the pennies!

brushlaptop · 24/01/2021 12:04

@PrettyPinkPansies thank you!! Yes I know the feeling of wanting to snap the stick in half! I'm also measuring cervical fluid for the "egg white" as that worked best for me last time but I find opk is good at corroborating this :) I tried to measure basal body temp but I'm often up in the night and all over the place with DS who is 1 so it's not that accurate xx

PrettyPinkPansies · 24/01/2021 12:07

@brushlaptop have you had any ovulation signs so far? I thought I did around CD17 but no positive OPK so I think it's all in my head!! I have the same problem, I can't track BBT as my LO is still up every 3 / 4 hours so it wouldn't be accurate. Xx

PumpkinEverything · 24/01/2021 12:13

Quick recap from me too, didn’t even think to do that!
I’m 31, trying for baby #1. I came off the pill at the start of last year, and tried to figure out my cycle for a lot of months before we started trying (because we thought we were getting on a big holiday and I was trying to wait until after 🤦‍♀️). I have/had irregular cycles of 34-45 days. We tried for the first time in September and thankfully fell pregnant straight away. I found out on the 13th October (long cycles!) and unfortunately then found out I’d had a MMC on the 25th November when I should have been 9 weeks but baby had died at 8. I decided on surgical management which I had on the 8th December. It’s taken 5/6 weeks for a negative test. I believe I had a peak on Monday (🤞🏻) and that I should now be 6 DPO today if I’m right. We’ve started trying again straight away and I’m on pregnacare prenatal tablets and using easy @ home OPKs to figure out my cycle.

Bellabubble · 24/01/2021 12:15

I didn’t even think to recap/introduce myself lol!

I’m 36 (soon to be 37) TTC our first child.
I had a MMC end of last Feb (we got pg first time trying, but nothing progressed past 5+4, but only atarted spotting at 8+2)
Spent the next 7 months TTC, and caught on our 8th cycle, but sadly that was an anembryonic pregnancy so had surgical management end of Nov.
AF returned 4 weeks after that, and got a bfp last weekend, but my initial excitement that this one might be the one to stick has definitely gone.

Am happy to help in anyway I can - I have perhaps been a bit too obsessive in reading up on things lol - but it was my way to help me process things for sure!

RichmondLady1981 · 24/01/2021 13:08

@Bellabubble how are you doing? X

Sallyjo27 · 24/01/2021 13:21

Hi ladies how are you all? I’ve been in and out of these threads for a while. I’m 28 and had 4 miscarriages in 2020. Had a referral to NHS gynaecology department after the third in July was told we’d be waiting a year so went private. All tests we’ve had we normal so after an appointment with the consultant just over a week ago I’ve been advised to have 4x400mg of cylogest and clexane injections as soon as I get pregnant, a 6 week scan and when heartbeat is seen 75mg of aspirin. Now the small task of getting pregnant again- had a static smilie on the clear blue ovulation tests yesterday and a positive cheapie OPK too. So we’ve been busy DTD. I’m taking tomorrow as 1dpo.
We are trying for our first child. Who knew getting pregnant & staying pregnant could be this difficult 😩
