@Tina8800 That's so interesting, if it were me none of those changes would make me believe I hadn't ovulated. I would just assume if you're getting a positive OPK and then your period your normal amount of days later, that you had? I heard miscarriage causes a reset on the mensural cycle so I wouldn't of thought changes like that would be an issue, but then again I don't know x

CookieMonster3001 · 26/01/2021 16:23

Afternoon ladies, I am so sorry for all the losses that have brought you to this thread but lots of baby dust to everyone and hope we all get out BFPs soon!

I hope you don't mind me joining? A little about me..

33 years old, trying for our first baby. Fell pregnant in November after 3 cycles and sadly miscarried just before New Years Eve at 6 weeks. Natural miscarriage which was quite heavy and painful, lasted about 5-6 days. EPU scanned me to confirm it had all gone and a negative preg test the following Monday.

Since then, I ovulated a week later than normal on CD18/19 instead of my usual CD11/12. That puts me at 12DPO today but had a BFN this morning. AF due this Friday/Saturday and terrified as people say the first period after a mc is awful! However hoping February brings us a little luck!

NatNoo96 · 26/01/2021 16:24

Thanks everyone for your kind words. I certainly want some sort of test done just to see if it’s something simple like taking aspirin that can make the difference I need.

Pancakes7 · 26/01/2021 16:33

@NatNoo96 What time is your scan tomorrow? I'll be thinking of you.

Welcome to all the new joiners. I'm sorry you find yourself here but I hope this chat helps.

Starfishh · 26/01/2021 16:39

Can I ask what your symptoms were @PumpkinEverything Smile

TheDaydreamBelievers · 26/01/2021 16:43

@Tina8800 - so ovulation is confirmed by a rise the day after (usually 0.3 degrees ish), which lasts for 3 or so days afterwards. So my temps pre-ovulation are approx 36.35 then go to 36.59-36.7 post ovulation.

Im not sure your cycle was annovulatory if its still about the right length, and AF came within 14 days of the positive OPK. When I had annovulatory cycles I had a OPK positive at CD 44 and CD 67 but then not AF until CD141 when my body clearly gave up on ovulating for that cycle!

PumpkinEverything · 26/01/2021 16:47

Sure @Starfishh 😊 I recordeded it all on my apps (I use Flo, Premom and Ovia) and although I said I wouldn’t refer back to them during my current TWW, I check them multiple times a day.

I was bloated for around 4 days. Had a few random small cramps on 5 DPO, and a few spots. I then got a lot of lower pain back on 6 and 7 DPO. I was also apparently a bit fed up those few days but blamed it on work. I then started to get of breast pain on 9 and 10 DPO where they wore sore to the touch, and if I slept on them. I was also really tired for about a week and had quite a disturbed sleep. And I think I remember having a few vivid dreams. I then got my BFP at 11 DPO at around 5pm as I hadn’t planned on testing and caved. It was a faint line but it was visible, and I ordered some FRER and tested with those on 13 DPO to confirm 😊

@Pancakes7 I’m going in at 7:40am. I’ve bled so much now though. More than my first MC so I know what they’re going to say. I’m expecting a blood test to check HCg is low and to be told I’ve passed it already. 😞
Just wish they would do some sort of test and try and help me succeed next time

angc30 · 26/01/2021 17:07

Hi all! I just wondering if it's okay to pop on too?

Im 28 in Northern Ireland
I had 3 early miscarriages in 2020
Last one being 4 December I had a regular cycle and AF arrived 1 Jan

I tested this morning and got a BFP. AF was due 28th. But after the last year I'm terrified to get my hopes up :( My husband even said I was silly to test early in case it ends in another mc

I thought it would be nice to speak to some other ladies who've experienced losses and hopefully we'll all get a bit of luck!!! Wishing you all loads of baby dust x

ELMcg · 26/01/2021 17:16

Just catching up on the thread after work, lots of new joiners today, so sorry you find yourselves here but it has helped so many of us make sense of things and just generally chat!

Just a recap on my day today as I know quite a few of us are at a similar stage. I'm CD4 on my first AF since MC today and it has pretty much stopped, I think I will count today as my last day unless I have any bleeding tomorrow. OPKs arriving Thursday so just going to start on them straight away as since my cycle is so short I feel like ovulation could be just round the corner!

Symptoms for me have been a banging headache the whole time AF has been around including today, very annoying!

Jaym78 · 26/01/2021 17:22

Hho everyone,

Mind if I join? Chhemicaal pregnancy a few months ago, rreguallr cycle since, nno birth control. Cycle. Fluctuating between 28 and 30 days, llaast month was 28 days.. So I'm duue on either 1sr or 3rd feb. Been cramping for a few days,, sorry for TMI but lots and lots of gas and also had constipation Inn Reading these could be very early signs what do u all think? Would u teat early? Oh also... Increased cm.

Ps how are you all xxx

Pancakes7 · 26/01/2021 17:54

@NatNoo96 It's good you've got an early appointment so at least you won't be waiting around all day. I really hope it is good news but if not at least you'll know either way I can try and move on to try again. Is this your second loss? I believe they class it as normal unless it is three in a row and then they'll help. Fingers crossed for you for tomorrow

NatJ24 · 26/01/2021 18:11

@NatNoo96 so sorry 😞 I hope you are ok, as ok as you can be. Its just such a horrible thing to go through 💔. Definitely ask them if there is anything they could maybe check, or recommend at this stage. Big hugs xx

NatNoo96 · 26/01/2021 18:22

@Pancakes7 it’s definitely gone I’ve passed too much now for it not to be (sorry if it’s TMI) it’s my 2nd loss in 3 months. Just want some answers and a lovely little rainbow.
@NatJ24 thank you, I’m definitely going to ask. I’m also going to ring my GP in the morning to see if they will do anything for me. If not I’ll have to source help elsewhere I suppose 😞

ELMcg · 26/01/2021 18:24

Awww hope you are OK @NatNoo96 such a worrying time. Maybe they can give you some clarity on what could help, I guess you can only ask? The nurses at my EPU were so helpful at giving little bits of advice even if it's just reassurance!

PumpkinEverything · 26/01/2021 18:31

Hi @angc30 I’m from NI too 😊 fingers crossed this is your sticky baby! Did you get any tests or further info after this happening 3 times?

Welcome @Jaym78 they do sound like symptoms, but it’s so hard to know isn’t it? We all love symptom spotting and reading into things 😊 AF is due for me on 1st feb so find myself in the same position as you on whether to test early or wait!

bez91 · 26/01/2021 18:41

Welcome to all newbies, sorry I've lost track!

@angc30 we seem to have quite similar stories. I also got AF 1st January so we seem to be cycle buddies! Congratulations on your BFP, how many DPO are you? I'm testing tomorrow at 14dpo :) I completely understand your nervousness and you're not alone in this thread.

@NatNoo96 as others have already said I'd try and push at EPU tomorrow to see if they can recommend something. Sending love 💕

angc30 · 26/01/2021 18:45

@NatNoo96 I'm really sorry and I hope you're doing okay! I just hope you're as well as you can be Daffodil

Did you have any longer than normal cycles before the first MC? Only asking because my gp went through a year of cycles with me after I had two MCs in a row.

One of my gps was lovely and he said since I had a 34 day cycle in March (I'm normally 27/28 days) he'd count it as an early loss. (I hope I'm not saying anything that could be a no no for him) This meant that I'm now on the nhs fertility waiting list. GP recommended bloods and an external scan. After those were normal he did say that the waiting list is long and to keep trying when we feel up to it though

angc30 · 26/01/2021 18:48

@bez91 such a lovely New Years gift!!! 😂 I'm 12dpo I was a keen bean testing this morning but I had two dreams about being pregnant and a really strong OPK test the night before. I hope you get your bfp!

I'm trying to not stress but I'm naturally a nervous nelly forcing myself to watch bad reality tv trying not to think

Starfishh · 26/01/2021 18:57

Aw ladies I don’t know why I do it to myself.. 8dpo and a BFN I know it’s to early but the symptoms I’m getting are so strong. On what day would you are recommend for me to test?

elsimo · 26/01/2021 19:05

@bez91 Good luck tommorow, well done on not testing until now xx

bez91 · 26/01/2021 19:20

@angc30. Thank you, I think it's a case of trying not to think too far into the future and literally take each day as another milestone, that's what I've told myself and throw yourself into something like crappy TV 😊

@elsimo thank you 🤗

angc30 · 26/01/2021 19:29

@PumpkinEverything Hi! thank you! My gp sent me for an external u/s and bloods. When everything came back normal he recommended that we go private to investigate further if it was an option. We went to kingsbridge in belfast and I had more bloods recommended. I had those done but I got the results a few days ago so fingers crossed it sticks and don't need to pay for a 2nd consult

PumpkinEverything · 26/01/2021 19:39

That’s really crazy that they have to refer you private and pay @angc30 but I’m glad you were able to do that. All fingers crossed this one is okay though!
