So period has finished woohoo was going to start our ttc journey but I have come down with a poxy cold 😩 I think this month is not meant to be lol xx

NigellasMicrowave · 27/03/2021 17:03

Just catching up on the thread - @Luan82 your account of the procedure made me cross my legs! Ow! Well done you for persisting, so good that everything looked clear.

@Twittwoo2020 I think just about everyone on this thread will completely understand how you feel because our feelings will be so similar. As for coping strategies - 1. Vent away on here 2. If you can, try and see AF arriving as least a sign that your body is in a cycle and that shows that it is working well from that perspective. The chances of successful conception and implantation are so comparatively small when everything does work well that AF showing up doesn’t mean something has gone wrong, just that the magic chemistry of things hasn’t happened that month. 3. I buy myself something in advance to arrive when my period is due - can be really small like a pair of new knickers or a tin of fizzy wine that I like, but it cheers me up as a consolation prize.

I’m in my first TWW post-ectopic and have come down with a rubbish sore throat and weird cramp feeling - think I’m just generally run down. Not expecting this to be our month at all, but it has been fun trying, and looking forward. I’m just relieved the three months post-MTX are over.

Luan82 · 28/03/2021 10:12

@NigellasMicrowave I love how so
Many of us are in the TWW atm !! 🤞🏼🌈 So far I've been keeping and not overthinking anything - during the week is going to be hard though ! Don't want to put everyone off doing a HyCoSy- 🤦🏻‍♀️ i think my experience was pretty rare , also I have had a colposcopy in my early life which I later found out can contribute to a narrow cervix - it may also explain my difficulties conceiving again ...x

Sweetbabydust1989 · 28/03/2021 10:53

@Luan82 I never new that I had a colposcopy years ago for cin 2 I still get light bleeding as I now have a cervical erosion because of it xx

Luan82 · 28/03/2021 11:10

@Sweetbabydust1989 - me neither !! It was a total surprise when the doc said I had a mobile uterus and narrow cervix as I don't experience uncomfortable intercourse or anything - did some Googling and turns out that colposcopy is one of the reasons for scar tissue on cervix which can narrow it, it also can cause infertility issues as the sperm can struggle to reach the uterus !! x

Sweetbabydust1989 · 28/03/2021 11:24

@Luan82 that’s crazy I have had checks on my uterus due to adeno and they said it look enlarged but that’s common in adeno they didn’t mention anything about my cervix really they should mention this when they do that colposcopy.. you in the TWW now fingers crossed hun... I DTD today and omg it never hurt like it use to no cramps after it either I am so shocked I think my ectopic gave me a clear out I feel so good well apart from the crappy cold I have.. just had little bright red blood from my erosion which they can’t do anything for. I am due to ovulate on my birthday so would be nice to catch it this month as we going to leave it another couple of months but my consultant gynaecologist was so supportive that it made me think sod it let’s start xx

HereIfYouNeedMe · 28/03/2021 19:54

@NigellasMicrowave yay on reaching your first TWW!! Fingers crossed for you!
I have 30 days to go before we can TTC again, but who's counting 😏 xx

Luan82 · 28/03/2021 21:02

@Sweetbabydust1989 eeeek exciting!! Fingers crossed for this month !! 🙏🏼🌈🤞🏼🤞🏼🤞🏼x

Lililou · 28/03/2021 21:38

@Sweetbabydust1989 @Luan82 , there are a few of us! Here's hoping it's our month 🤞

When do you plan to test @Sweetbabydust1989?

I've been trying to stay busy with redecorating it bedroom to keep me busy and distracted!

Lililou · 28/03/2021 21:39

Luan82 · 28/03/2021 22:43

@Lililou @Sweetbabydust1989 I used this last month found it really helped to understand when I should test (or ignore) potential symptoms ... whenmybaby.com/implantation-calculator.php xx

Sweetbabydust1989 · 28/03/2021 22:45

Well my period officially stopped yesterday we DTD today but according to my Clearblue ovulation app thingy I start the pee sticks again Saturday.. i am just worried as me and my partner work different patterns so weekends Is the best time for us... I am not actually sure when I do a pregnancy test any tips would be appreciated ☺️

Sweetbabydust1989 · 28/03/2021 22:47

@Lililou sorry forgot to tag you on message above lol

Sweetbabydust1989 · 28/03/2021 22:49

@Luan82 yes would be lovely as I technically ovulate on my birthday according to my apps... I am on day 5 of my cycle we all need a good month don’t we xx

Lililou · 30/03/2021 20:33
@Lililou* *@Sweetbabydust1989 I used this last month found it really helped to understand when I should test (or ignore) potential symptoms ... whenmybaby.com/implantation-calculator.php xx
Oh this is a really good find! It's saying my earliest date is 4th April. How about you @Luan82 ?

@Sweetbabydust1989 I had no idea when to test really, just heard most people say a A few days before period at earliest. But this tool is worth a look at

Luan82 · 30/03/2021 20:38

@Lililou isn't it? I thought the same!! - it's a brilliant way of stopping all the symptom spotting when the dates that it's not possible are there in black and white !! Although saying that I've been getting the strangest aches and cramps at the base of my uterus today (I will not overthink I will not overthink!!) my peak implantation day would be Saturday xx

NigellasMicrowave · 30/03/2021 21:08

@HereIfYouNeedMe thank you! That last month goes by really quickly, I found. The end is in sight!

@Sweetbabydust1989 everyone is different but I’ve decided not to test until the day my period is due. Last time I tested at 10DPO, which was negative and I assumed I was out of the running. Spewing three days later with a clear positive showed me I was wrong. However, everyone’s individual cycles are different so there may well be good reason why you’d want to test earlier - it’s entirely up to how you feel about it.

Lililou · 30/03/2021 22:40

So funny you say that @Luan82, I hadn't had symptoms until today when I felt the odd twinge but judging by that site, implantation wouldn't be until weekend anyway. Fascinating how much more we know nowadays, can be a blessing and a curse I guess.

Sweetbabydust1989 · 30/03/2021 23:08

@Lililou I have those clear blue ovulation tests my app tells me when to test really handy as I would forget lol due to test for ovulation on Saturday DTD twice already but I work evenings so it’s really difficult to fit time in lol x

Sweetbabydust1989 · 30/03/2021 23:11

@NigellasMicrowave Thankyou hun I personally won’t be testing early will leave it until I am roughly due on.. I have had the worst day ever literally panicking myself thinking about second ectopics it’s horrible I can let seem to push it to the back of my mind at all just trying to get enough storage in me for ovulation as I might miss my peak due to working hours lol x

Luan82 · 30/03/2021 23:11

@Lililou absolutely!! @NigellasMicrowave makes a really interesting point, testing too early can lead to unnecessary disappointment - it's so tough to know what's best but I guess it's whatever feels right for you x

Sweetbabydust1989 · 01/04/2021 11:04

Hi ladies hope you’re all well... can I ask does anyone experience a little cramping before ovulation I seem to get it every month I no which side iam going to ovulate it’s usually my left side... I was at work last night and I had a mild cramping feeling mainly in the middle but it’s gone today due to start ovulation tests on Saturday well according to my Clearblue app I have also noticed my discharge becoming more sticky sorry for the tmi due to ovulate day after my birthday I really hope it’s my month would make an amazing birthday present xx

Hlump1980 · 01/04/2021 11:39

@Sweetbabydust1989
I seem to now always getting cramping and then ovulation pain just before and then I get some sort of cramping afterwards. It isn’t constant. Good luck with it and hope you get your birthday present

Luan82 · 01/04/2021 12:48

@Sweetbabydust1989 I really notice ovulation pain, starts during the LH surge (when I start to feel a cramp coming I do a clear blue ovulation test and always get a static smiley!) and carries on for about a half a day, then subsides - I then get a bloated heavy full and tender tummy for a few hours and then nothing - followed by cramps a few days later from the side I ovulated - mad but it's like a can literally feel the embryo travelling through the tube !!! 🤷‍♀️🤷‍♀️ this month the pain was not as bad which I'm hoping is a good sign !! 7dpo today and no cramping at all only symptoms are very sensitive nipples, bleeding gums, tired, headaches coming and going, a strong wave of nausea which subsided after about fifteen mins but my experience from every other month is that every single one of these is due to progesterone rising and not so much early preggo symptoms (tho they can be)- really trying not to get my hopes up this month to avoid too much devastation when AF shows her ugly head!! Xxx

Luan82 · 01/04/2021 12:50

@Sweetbabydust1989 btw - I really hope you get your ultra special birthday present too!! 🤞🏼🤞🏼🤞🏼x
