Hi
I typed this already but I think I deleted it by mistake . I have had a crappy couple of weeks with 2 pregnancy announcements at work really knocking me for six and me being so jealous and sad about them. Also
Last month my period arrived late ( negative test ). And this month I don’t seem to be ovulating. I took a clear blue one and on day 12 I got a static smiley face lots of baby dancing as I was expecting to ovulate pretty soon but it didn’t seem to come. I had no real temp drip or rise. and also no egg white mucus. I am now day 15 and still the same temp . I also ovulate between 12 - 14 and after the ectopic in Dec my cycle went back pretty quickly. I have never not ovulated before ( since I have been doing the charting so just under a year ). Should I start to be concern actually I think I already am. What does it actually mean . Has this happened to anybody else and what should I do ?
Will include my chart too
Thanks x

Here is my chart for this month

NigellasMicrowave · 17/03/2021 12:54

I’m no charting expert @Hlump1980 but it doesn’t look like you have ovulated yet - or perhaps have done so on day 14?

Sammyclaire22 · 17/03/2021 14:19

I would say it looks like an ov dip as the last reading... See what happens the next couple of days. Don't forget stress can mess up your cycle so if you miss one or its off timings it might be why if you've found it tough at work x

Luan82 · 17/03/2021 17:54

@Hlump1980 - how long are your cycles ? My ovulation date did change slightly after the ectopic and it's always the 16th for the surge then OV pains 17th so try not to stress too much x

Luan82 · 17/03/2021 17:56

@MrsB2019x - thankyou!

So now for the update

  • had the procedure today, was not as straight forward as I’d hoped tbh - doc said I have a very narrow and curved cervix and a mobile uterus so they REALLY struggled to get the catheter in and it hurt 😞 a lot !! I think he may have had to snip my cervix open a little which is not pleasant under no anesthetiser!! W eventually got there as even though he suggested we abandon it I said persevere as I really didn’t want to stop and give up- anyway the results were good!! Both tubes appeared clear!!! Really hoping that it’s the start of more positive news to come 🙏🏼🌈x
Sweetbabydust1989 · 17/03/2021 23:09

@Luan82 woohoo amazing news!!! So pleased for you and your clear tubes!! I have my gynaecologist app next week and praying he will do this but I highly doubt it xx

Hlump1980 · 18/03/2021 06:59

Thanks ladies
My cycle is normally 26-28 days but last month it went on for 2 days longer and this month I have this happening. I had the ectopic in Dec and my cycle in jan and feb were fine. I am just feel so crap at the moment and spent most of yesterday crying throughout the day at school ( not infront of the children ). My temp did rise today but just don’t have any egg white mucus.
@Luan82 I am glad everything was clear .

Luan82 · 18/03/2021 08:51

@Hlump1980 - try not to stress too much (easier said than done I know!!) I seem to remember that my ovulation date changed a few months after the ectopic if that helps? I'll check my diary for you. There can be a number of reasons why your CM isn't what it should be usually hormonal I think, your cycle lengths are similar to mine so ovulation should be around the same time - 16th? Keep persevering with the cheapy opks and don't forget to try with them in the afternoon too (I hardly ever got my surge in the morning!) as your period was late last month OV will be late too I suspect xx

Luan82 · 18/03/2021 09:04

@Hlump1980 out of interest are there any lines at all on the opks? I tend to see the lines get darker as the date of OV surge approaches till both are the same colour then I know I've hit the surge - if there are no lines at all with the test strips can you request a blood test from your GP? I'm thinking of asking for another test to check my hormone level - my progesterone has previously been low, which can inhibit ovulation xx

MrsB2019x · 18/03/2021 20:19

@Luan82 So glad your tubes are clear! 🥳 sorry it was a bit of an ordeal to get there though ☹️ Glad you persevered! Have they said what happens now?

Luan82 · 18/03/2021 20:26

@MrsB2019x They said keep trying naturally for a few months but because of my age and as my amh is low they are really keen to push forward with IVF (this is the private clinic in Sheffield) - unfortunately though I’ve been advised today that the waiting and backlog for ivf in leeds is about 14 weeks at least so I may well have to go private to give myself the best chance at success - pretty annoyed tbh particularly as my referral has been progressing through the system for nearly a year now and the only tests we’ve had done are those that we’ve paid privately for - absolute shambles really !! Xx

DoctorBambino · 18/03/2021 20:56

@luan82 I'm so pleased to hear your tubes are clear, hopefully the hycosy will have given you a good clear out and you'll be extra fertile now!

I'm still in the middle of my rubella jabs, have had one and have the next on the 29th so still not allowed to ttc at the moment. On the plus side we are all signed up and ready to go with the private ivf 4 weeks after my second jab. It feels like such a relief to be honest. Although a bloody expensive relief!

@hlump1980 I had a cycle a few months after the surgery where my body seemed to struggle to ovulate, it happened in the end, maybe 3 days later. Otherwise I seem to ovulate on day 14 since the surgery whereas before I was always day 17. They say the surgery shouldn't impact this but it definitely has for me 🤷🏼‍♀️

Hlump1980 · 18/03/2021 23:07

@Luan82
I use the digital ones at the moment so it said high for 3 days and then peak so I assumed I would ovulate soon after that . So that must have picked up something !!
Thanks everyone I think I just got so stressed about it I just thought the worse and I would never be able to ovulate again. XX

Hlump1980 · 18/03/2021 23:08

@DoctorBambino
Thanks I will check next cycle. I did wonder if this was from the right side where I lost my tube and would that have anything to do with it !

Luan82 · 19/03/2021 14:58

@DoctorBambino - I'm going to have a call with the private clinic about the cost, from what I can gather the drug cost is what can put it up to quite a high cost xx I'm also interested in natural ivf xx

DoctorBambino · 19/03/2021 15:12

@luan82 We've gone with a 3 cycle 100% refund package with access fertility, drugs aren't included but I'm going to be on short protocol so will be a bit less than it could be, probably about £1500 for the medication for our first (and hopefully only) cycle!

Luan82 · 19/03/2021 19:32

@DoctorBambino oh my goodness I'm so excited for you!! Wishing you all the baby dust in the world !! They want to put me on the highest stims I think which likely means a lot of money so need to get my head around how much xxx

Luan82 · 21/03/2021 09:43

@DoctorBambino - I've had a look at access fertility thanks for mentioning, though I don't qualify for unlimited (I'm an old bird!) I could look at the multi cycle option which looks good and a much better price!! Only slight issue is it's through leeds clinic and they are moving really slowly with my referral atm so I'm in two minds on if I can actually pay to go with the same clinic privately when they can't see me as an nhs patient!! 🤦🏻‍♀️xx

Lililou · 22/03/2021 21:25

Just catching up, ouch @Luan82 that sounds like an ordeal, what an absolute trooper you are. I'd have been screaming stop at the slightest bit of pain. God knows how I'll ever give birth!

We're on our first month of TTC now, we had a few months off after surgery. Feeling mentally ready for it now and cycle seemed to have got back to normal pretty much straight away. I'm tracking with OPKs and premom. Had never used them before last month. Last month it showed a peak on cycle day 15. Currently on cycle day 12, DTD 2 days ago and will be again tonight. I'm so tired and feeling headachey though! 😫

Luan82 · 23/03/2021 08:43

@Lililou how exciting!! I'm just a wee bit ahead of you in my cycle- should be getting the surge tomorrow, and OV on Thursday I reckon - already feeling a bit crampy which i think must be promising and the EWCM is ramping up!! I'm also using pre seed every time now due to to my narrow cervix tho, who knows maybe that could be part of the problem ? - would be mad if it was something as simple as that though!! 🤦🏻‍♀️xx

Lililou · 23/03/2021 11:47

Gosh we're very close @Luan82 ! Hopefully the preseed works for you 🤞

Luan82 · 23/03/2021 21:27

@Lililou - you too lovely !! Baby dust on it's way!!! 👶🏼🙏🏼🌈🦋❤️⭐️✨x

Sweetbabydust1989 · 24/03/2021 09:55

Currently sitting in the waiting area awaiting to see my gynaecologist I feel awful today second period post ectopic started today I am praying they may book me in for a hycosy test I cannot get my tube condition out of my head... hope you’re all well xx

Hopeful2611 · 24/03/2021 10:16

Hi ladies

How long did you wait before you've gone to see IVF fertility clinics? This will be my 10th month ttc post ectopic after losing my left tube. Do you think I should book in with my doctor to see if there is anything wrong? Or jump straight to the IVF clinics?

Thanks
