I'm due to ovulate today - feeling a bit defeated already which isn't a good start! 2 years of trying for a baby, and the monotony of it all is starting to get to me. How does everyone else stay positive?? Any tips?

@Sweetbabydust1989 - that's the hope ! I'm just really dying to know about my tubes since ttc just over a year ago at this point I want to know if they are blocked and I can then make an informed decision 🙂 the flashing smiley means you are getting close to peak ovulation but the static smiley is the actual surge I think, that should come in the next day or so I've never had a flashing smiley always straight to static one !! But that's great news!! 🙂🙂🙂 xx

@Luan82 I want to no about my tubes I have an app in a couple of weeks with my gynaecologist due to my lap being cancelled in jan due to my ectopic so I am going to ask him if he can do the test I am hoping he says yes it’s a private hospital but the nhs pay are you able to get a referral to a bmi hospital so you don’t have to pay?? I am so happy I got my static smiley today after 3 low fertility 1 high fertility and now a peak so no more testing this month I am just gutted iam not actually trying I think it’s safe to say my body is back to normal now and I can hopefully try next month!! Xx

@that90sgirl - I feel this so much, I started trying in November 2019 so minus the four months surrounding the ectopic I've been trying for a little over a year now, the constant negatives can really get you down- I find that I try to plan an activity just as my new cycle starts like a positive start to a new beginning and helps if you are feeling a little down when AF shows her ugly head again, something like a treat or self care is always a good option - I usually treat myself to a big glass of good quality gin and tonic !! Xx

@Sweetbabydust1989 mazing !! are you logging your ovulation dates? Even though you aren't trying you can use these to find the pattern in your cycle and helps to anticipate your fertile dates for the coming months - I use Flo after a friend recommended it, it's very accurate for me - my cycle is very regular - always 29 days with ovulation surge on the 16 xx
I was booked in for a lap same as you but cancelled due to covid 😔 I do have a referral going through the system but it's been a year now and tbh they haven't done anything but a phone call consult !! It's very disappointing but they are claiming they are not starting treatments anytime soon so I felt that I had to start progressing through privately they said that it wouldn't affect the nhs referral which is good - I'm 38 and my AMH is also quite low, so I unfortunately haven't got the benefit of time being on my side xx

Hi @Luan82 yes it’s all right being tracked on flo and the Clearblue app you as the test send it all straight to that... flo is amazing and was true to form I never changed my cycles when I found out about my ectopic and it predicted everything right especially as I thought my cycles would be a mess due to the ectopic... I think we are going to start trying next month... yes my lap was cancelled because my ectopic I was gutted!!!! My cycles are roughly 31-32 days... look in to a bmi hospital I didn’t no what it was until my doctor referred me I was confused at first thinking I would be paying for it and they said as I need specialist treatment they send women there and the nhs pick the bill up and the turn around is fast My lap was being completed roughly 8 weeks after first seeing the consultant but obviously didn’t happen due to the ectopic xx

@Sweetbabydust1989 - really ? That's so interesting! There are a couple of BMI in Yorkshire but the closest one doesn't do lap however the Huddersfield one does, did your GP refer you specifically to that hospital? My GP is excellent and she's very sympathetic and keen to help me but my referral has automatically defaulted to Leeds and they do not seem to be doing any treatments atm nor do I find them very sympathetic to my age or amh so I really want to move clinics xx

@Luan82 when I first saw my gp about my issues she referred me I thought I was going to my usual hospital then I got the letter that it was a bmi hospital so I called my gp and they said they do referrals there but I don’t need to pay. With the private ones they are still doing treatment... my gp referred and booked my app on the same day maybe speak to them and ask.. as I no another friend has been sent to one due to the back log of the hospitals due to covid so some are using them xx

@Sweetbabydust1989 thanks that's really helpful I will ask my GP when I speak to her - Leeds just said that considering the circumstances they might just jump straight to IVF but that doesn't help me with a diagnosis or treat the potential blockage or endometriosis which I feel is a little short sighted tbh!! Xx

Quick update for you ladies - I am booked in for a HyCoSy next Wednesday!! 😬 will let you know the outcome - so pleased that I'm finally getting some investigations done on what might be causing my fertility issues - just a shame I've had to pay privately for it ! 😔 xx

Just catching up!
Sorry to hear about AF arrivals and all the issues people are having with getting referred on, sending hugs and fingers crossed for an easier time ahead for everyone. I will be thinking of all of the mamas on Sunday too, I know how hard I found it and still do remembering my lost babies.

How are you both doing @springandsummer123? We are just over 6w now and I think im starting to function slightly more now. I totally agree about the midnight online orders!

I've recently found out my sister is pregnant, which is wonderful news, but it was their first attempt and even though I am so blessed with the family I have now, part of my still felt that twinge of pain that some people have it so easy. Both of my girls followed losses and it surprised me that even though my family is probably complete it still has the power to affect me.

18 weeks now @Sammyclaire22 haha! I’m generally okay thanks. I’ve found the glowing second trimester where you feel back to normal to be a big fat lie though 😂 How are you getting on?
