Good luck to you both @Luan82 & @NigellasMicrowave! 🌈

@Hlump1980 The length of my cycles fluctuated after the ectopic, maybe wait until you’re a week late then get in touch with the GP?

We had a private scan last night at 16+4, and found out we are having a little girl 💖 absolutely over the moon

Luan82 · 03/03/2021 10:14

@Hlump1980 - did you see a surge at 13 days too? It could be that you ovulated late? The only thing that ever messed with my cycles was pregnacare - both times it made them crazy long but resolved as soon as I stopped taking them! Strangely I found that after the ectopic my cycles changed slightly but for the better as I had a longer luteral phase I now ovulate on the 16th day and my cycle is 29 days. Try not to worry and keep taking tests with FMU xx

Luan82 · 03/03/2021 10:15

@MrsB2019x - this is AMAZING news. !! Congrats !! 🦋🌈🎀💝 how exciting !!! Xx

@MrsB2019x How lovely x

Some not so great news today - despite the fact that I have a letter dated Nov 2020 from the NHS trust to my GP explaining that I have had all the necessary tests and clear results for STI and immunity to rubella the private fertility clinic are claiming this letter isn't enough and I need copies of the actual tests?! Im so paranoid they are being awkward purposefully so they can charge for additional tests. As they were done by the EPU during my ectopic though I don't know where or how I would even get hold of these test result documents - unfortunately now means till I sort this I can't go ahead with the HyCosy test - honestly with that and my surgery being cancelled due to covid it's so deflating, feels like I'm constantly battling against something atm!! 😞😞😞💔 xxx

MrsB2019x · 03/03/2021 21:56

Thank you all! 🌸

@DoctorBambino I have names I like but DH is very good at saying ‘naaaahhhh’ but will never come up with any of his own 🙄 luckily we’ve got another 23 weeks to slog it out hah

@Luan82 That is unbelievable! Surely your GP would have a copy of them? As they use the diagnostic results to write a user-friendly letter. Always worth an ask, they should be filed on your record so all health professionals should be able to access them

HereIfYouNeedMe · 03/03/2021 22:19

@MrsB2019x aww huge congratulations hun! That's lovely news 🥰💗

So AF has arrived, the first one since the ectopic. I'm a bit confused as to when I can TTC again. I've read 12 weeks or after 2 cycles... which is it? I'm 55 days away from the 12 week mark and I assume AF will show again way before that? 🤔 xx

DoctorBambino · 04/03/2021 08:25

@luan82 I feel your pain, my private clinic also wanted all my blood work and the hospital fertility clinic said they couldn't just send them, I had to do an access to health request which took a couple of weeks. DH had to also do one for his semen analysis. Maybe try ringing the ecu and asking what the process is?

There always seem to be extra delays and hurdles!

@MrsB2019x @DoctorBambino absolutely!! After numerous calls finally managed to get through to my GP who has kindly printed off the reports so I can add them to the Portal at the private clinic - phew! Means I don't have to go across and have all those tests done again when they are less than a year old! Just waiting for first day of next cycle now before I can book the hycosy - way too excited about the prospect of them injecting dye into my foof!!! 😂xx

Luan82 · 04/03/2021 13:57

@HereIfYouNeedMe - remind me, was it mexotrethate that you had for the ectopic? Just one dose? I had a bleed on and off about three to four days after treatment then approx a month had my first period, then I waited for two more periods after that before launching into TTC again right after, think this is due to the folic acid levels the medication completely eradicates all folic acid from your body so it's vital that you take a good quality supplement whilst waiting to build your folate back up, three months is generally the amount of time it takes to do that I think xxx

HereIfYouNeedMe · 04/03/2021 14:04

@Luan82 hey! Yes one dose of methotrexate, I'll wait the 12 weeks then which will probably be 3 periods by then, thank you xx

Luan82 · 04/03/2021 14:22

@HereIfYouNeedMe 😘

Sweetbabydust1989 · 05/03/2021 16:01

Hi ladies hope you’re all doing well.,. Huge congratulations to @MrsB2019x 💖💕 so day one of ovulation testing never been so excited to pee before lol I am not trying this month just tracking i am trying to avoid a December baby as my family is full of them 🤣 has anyone decided against having a dye test just incase it came back bad I am in minds as if my tube is blocked I think it would play on my mind to much and cause my body to go into negative mode xx

MrsB2019x · 05/03/2021 17:11

Thank you girls 🥰

@HereIfYouNeedMe I had the same as you and was told to wait 3 months, they never mentioned the number of cycles 🤷🏻‍♀️

@Luan82 Glad you managed to get it all sorted! One step closer now lovely!

HereIfYouNeedMe · 05/03/2021 18:26

@MrsB2019x thank you, I've just read it again and definitely confused myself 🙄 not hard! Lol x

I’m like you, one dose of methotrexate and all I was told was to wait 3 months from receiving the methotrexate. I had my first proper period about two months after the treatment and my second has arrived exactly three months after. I suppose for some ladies, two periods may happen quite quickly which is why the three month guideline exists to be sure as that’s how long they say to take folic for before TTC.

HereIfYouNeedMe · 05/03/2021 19:48

@NigellasMicrowave yes makes total sense! Basically 12 weeks minimum regardless of cycles. How are you feeling about TTC again soon? Xx

Springandsummer123 · 06/03/2021 10:51

Hi everyone- a happy update. Our beautiful baby girl arrived safely last week. She was conceived last June after having an ectopic in February & having my right tube removed.
Wishing you all the best on your TTC journeys & try and stay positive! (I know it's easier said than done). XxX

Luan82 · 06/03/2021 11:29

@Springandsummer123 wonderful!!!! Congratulations!! 🦋🌈🎀xx

Luan82 · 06/03/2021 11:35

@Sweetbabydust1989 me!! 😂 I've arranged with my clinic to have one this next cycle though I've had to pay privately for it - my AF is due on Thursday and I don't have a good feeling that we've been successful this month - I've just started with serrapeptase before ovulation and as a result have felt a lot of twinges after ovulation at both sides and the middle of my pelvic region which I'm regarding as a good sign!! I have to phone the clinic the first day of my cycle to get booked in and obv no intercourse before the procedure just in case, I had an infection in my teens which proved hard to treat with antibiotics though so I do suspect there is likely extensive damage to my tubes and I want to know just how blocked they are- for me it's piece of mind really before I progress with IVF xx

Sweetbabydust1989 · 08/03/2021 10:50

@Luan82 yay finally got a flashing smiley face this morning after 3 days of blank circles I am guessing that’s a good thing? Sometimes paying private is better they seem to better equipment I noticed that when I had a scan done at a private hospital my insides looked like it was in ultra HD on the screen 🤣🤣 xx

Sweetbabydust1989 · 08/03/2021 11:03

@Springandsummer123 congratulations enjoy endless online shopping sprees at 3 am while feeding lol xx
