Morning ladies!! Well, unfortunately for me development last night was I started to get cramps overnight - and woke up this morning to AF! Good news is I haven't wasted a good test and I'm not really that late this month (technically came on overnight!) so I'm out for another month 😩 feeling ok about it I'm going to pick myself up brush myself off and try again this month xxx

Luan82 · 10/02/2021 09:29

@MrsB2019x @NigellasMicrowave - think I maybe spoke too soon about being ok, it's just hit me and had a bit of a meltdown with OH, (bless him) now phoning the consultant to try and get some answers on further treatment - feels like leeds seem to be the only clinic not moving forward with procedures atm- I think I'm going to have to bite the bullet and go private 😢 xxx

MumOf2LittleMinions57 · 10/02/2021 10:04

@Luan82 I am so so sorry to hear AF made an appearance!!! I honestly don’t blame you for having a melt down I would be the same it’s so frustrating hun xx

Kate105 · 10/02/2021 10:13

I’m really sorry to hear that @Luan82 I was rooting for you. Sending you big hugs xxx

Luan82 · 10/02/2021 10:24

@MumOf2LittleMinions57 @Kate105 thanks so much guys, appreciate it 💔 with the bad news re: my amh levels last week I would have loved some positive news this month, but alas it wasn't to be. If nothing else, this whole ttc experience had made me a much stronger person - I will pick myself up and try again xxx

MrsB2019x · 10/02/2021 10:40

Oh @Luan82 that’s gutting, I’m so sorry 😔 I was really hoping that was it. It’s healthy to have a bit of a meltdown, better to let it out than compress it down. We’re here to rant if you need us xx

NigellasMicrowave · 10/02/2021 11:06

Oh no @Luan82 I think all of us have been there and understand the emotion and disappointment. At least your period showed up when it was meant to, which is a healthy sign. Keep pushing the consultant for some answers but if you can go private, it may ease your mind. Sometimes keeping things moving along is actually part of the solution.

Luan82 · 10/02/2021 11:33

@NigellasMicrowave @MrsB2019x absolutely! thanks so much, ❤️ it's actually really helped to vent today, otherwise I wouldn't have been able to talk to anyone - so you all do make a real difference! Because time is a factor now for me I'm going to go ahead and book a private consultation and request a HyCosy at least this way I feel like I'm moving things on a little and just might get some answers, plus we just don't know how long this pandemic will affect everything moving forward. We know my eggs are ok and OH sperm is good as the ectopic proves that, what we don't know is if there is something stopping the two meeting or reaching the destination!! Xxx

MrsB2019x · 10/02/2021 11:52

@Luan82 I was convinced that something was wrong with me or my tubes because of the ectopic, I was rapidly googling like what if I had chlamydia when I was younger and didn’t know now I’ve developed PID and loads of scarring etc... they checked my tubes at my early scan during this pregnancy and they are absolutely fine 😂 just one of those unlucky things. If you can afford it then it definitely doesn’t hurt to try and get some answers

MumOf2LittleMinions57 · 10/02/2021 12:13

@MrsB2019x I have been like that since I found out about my ectopic constantly on google looking for answers panicking that my tubes are completely blocked especially as I ovulated from the left ovary and my right tube picked it up... thinking about wether I have had PID in the past if there is a reason for it being stuck google is dangerous 🙈

MrsB2019x · 10/02/2021 13:10

@MumOf2LittleMinions57 It really is I was driving myself nuts!

NigellasMicrowave · 10/02/2021 13:33

The gynaecologist I saw said, “Stop googling. You have everything to be positive about”. Easier to say than to do!!!

MumOf2LittleMinions57 · 10/02/2021 14:11

@NigellasMicrowave yes google is so dangerous I have been getting migraines from that thing!!!! I am so thankful I have found a lovely bunch of ladies on this thread who have gone through the same thing and have had amazing success stories as it gives hope to us all... healing is definitely something I am not taking lighting I will track my cycles as a dummy run for the big event.. I honestly cannot wait to see this thread full of more positive test posts xx

HereIfYouNeedMe · 10/02/2021 16:14

@Luan82 sorry hun ☹️ I hope you get clarity from your appointment! Xx

that90sgirl · 10/02/2021 22:07

Hi everyone! Sorry some of you are going through a rough time - this TTC thing is definitely not easy! I am approaching my would of been due date and I'm not going to lie it has me thinking about it all over again. I'm trying to stay positive and just keep focused on the what I can control.
A bit of a side note, is anyone here eligible for the covid vaccines and what is everyone's opinion on having whilst TTC? Disclaimer- don't want to get into a debate about vaccines, I'm generally pro vaccines due to my area of work but I haven't had the covid jab yet with there not being very much info around everything!

Lililou · 11/02/2021 12:57

Hi everyone, first bleed after op has started this morning. Quite relieved as my op was 4 and a half weeks ago now. It's quite heavy, as expected. My uterine lining was quite thick at scan before the op. Bit of back ache but just like a heavy period at the moment. Am I right in thinking this first bleed isn't really a period though? Even if it's 4 weeks after op?

I've been coping ok the last few weeks and it's been nice being back at work. We got on our second month TTC so it all happened very quickly and was way sooner than I expected. When we started TTC I knew I wanted a baby but I didn't feel desperate for one right away, I knew it could take some time.

I had a dream the other night that I'd given birth and was holding the baby in my arms and I remember exactly what it felt like to hold them and then being mine. I felt quite sad when I woke up.

I also got pretty emotional yesterday as my dog (my first baby) has hip dysplasia, not on meds atm, but I think she's overdone it running round in the snow. It breaks my heart to see her getting older and slowing down. I cry at the thought she won't always be my baby. 😪

Luan82 · 11/02/2021 13:05

@that90sgirl - I'm the same, I wasn't sure if it's something that I should consider tho I've got a while yet before it's something I need to think about I'll be quite far down the list in line!!
@Lililou bless you, dreams are funny - I dreamt that I got my period and low and behold there it was two days later!!! Have you asked the doctor if it's a normal bleed or first period? With medication the embryo has to leave the body so the first bleed is that not a period but if the procedure was surgery and they removed the pregnancy then I'm not sure ! Sorry I can't be more help xx

Luan82 · 11/02/2021 13:10

Guys- Bit of positive news today re: my referral the consultant has written a letter with the next steps, which is excellent considering this referral has been stuck in the system nearly a year now! Leeds have cancelled all surgeries so they really don't know when I may be able to be seen which is soooooooop frustrating but she did say that considering my age they may go straight to IVF instead of surgery. They have also given me the go ahead to have a private consultation and hopefully book in for a HyCosy so I'm happy about that as it may just provide some answers !! 🤞🏼🤞🏼🤞🏼🤞🏼❤️🌈xxx

that90sgirl · 11/02/2021 13:10

@Lililou I had some bleeding straight after my surgery which lasted a few days and then I had another bleed 6 weeks after surgery which I counted as a period but maybe that wasn't right? That's awful news about your dog, I have a beagle and I feel the same way about him!

MrsB2019x · 11/02/2021 13:47

That’s really good news @Luan82! Hoping everything is full steam ahead from here 😁

@Lililou I think as it’s 4.5 weeks after surgery that will be your first period? Hopefully your cycle is doing some regulating ☺️

MumOf2LittleMinions57 · 11/02/2021 13:50

@Lililou I would of assumed that would be your period surly?? I was told by the hospital I would get my first period 4-6 weeks after my hcg levels went to zero as mine all self absorbed ( I was treated via expectant management) and any bleeding in between would be non period related xx

that90sgirl · 11/02/2021 19:06

@Luan82 that is fantastic news! Delighted for you that there is a plan and something to work towards.

Luan82 · 11/02/2021 21:59

@that90sgirl @MrsB2019x 😘 it's such a shame that I've had to refer myself privately in order to get some treatment but I know there are lots of people far worse off than I having surgeries cancelled, am just thankful that I have savings to fall back on!! Xx

MumOf2LittleMinions57 · 12/02/2021 14:47

@Luan82 hope you’re ok hun.. I cannot believe you have to go private I don’t think any woman with fertility issues should have to go private.. I am looking for some where I can get one of those dye tests done as my gp won’t refer me xx

Luan82 · 12/02/2021 14:55

@MumOf2LittleMinions57 it is very unfair, I still can't believe different areas offer different levels of fertility treatment either - how ridiculous. Some hospitals seem to be continuing treatment but unfortunately Leeds isn't one of those. I do think there is an argument there on whether the surgery is critical - considering the high risk that I have endometriosis, the fact it gets worse over time and the risk of another ectopic. I just don't have the energy to argue with them anymore! I do have an appointment booked with a specialist in a few weeks let's see what they say hoping they recommend Hycosy as the next step!! Xx
