@Luan82 it’s disgusting really no woman should be made to pay that’s my personal opinion some may not agree on it.. oh wow I have suspected adenomyosis Which is very mild it was only because a TV scan showed my uterus to be enlarged. Not sure how that affects me having more children.. I barely have any symptoms I have had cysts which do go on there own as they are very small xx

Luan82 · 12/02/2021 15:24

@MumOf2LittleMinions57 the consultant thinks I've have endo but we have never actually confirmed it - don't think you can without surgery, I had two two cysts one on each ovary during my ectopic scan and the other scan the consultant thought there was a chance my tube was stuck to my ovary which may have caused the ectopic - endo can come and go, can get worse over time or can resolve itself every case is different- only the most severe cases cause infertility really xx

hoppitt · 13/02/2021 11:47

Hi all

I've namechanged but have posted on previous threads.

I've had 2 ectopics ☹️ 1 tube removal and second in stump on what was left which is apparently v rare.. which luckily was self resolving. I'm now in 2WW but getting funny twinges in the tubeless side again

I'm hoping I'm pg and petrified if I am it's another ectopic in equal measure.

Has anyone had these twinges? I had discomfort on the second ectopic but that was much later on when I knew I was pg

I can't face going through this a third time..

MrsB2019x · 13/02/2021 12:10

@hoppitt Welcome back! Yep I had twinges quite early on at the site of my previous ectopic, to the point I was taken in at 5+2 for a scan because EPU were concerned too. All is absolutely fine and I’m 14 weeks now ☺️ Have you called EPU to get yourself booked in for an early location scan? Good luck!

hoppitt · 13/02/2021 13:02

Thanks for replying @MrsB2019x and congrats on your pregnancy

I'm not even pregnant yet and may not be I'm about 9dpo I think but the discomfort is there. What could it be?

MrsB2019x · 13/02/2021 16:11

@hoppitt I think scar tissue can count for a fair bit of discomfort

MumOf2LittleMinions57 · 14/02/2021 18:53

Hi ladies hope you’re all having a fabulous Valentine’s Day 💖 I wanted to ask a quick question is it normal that all my hcg levels fell to zero within 12 days I have seen some ladies on other groups saying that it’s taken weeks and weeks... my body seemed to have reacted fast to resolve everything I was only 4 weeks according to my lmp so it was rather small but could of easily been coming to an end at 3 weeks xx

ActonBell · 14/02/2021 23:30

Hello all - @MumOf2LittleMinions57, sorry I don’t know the answer to this. I know HcG varies between women and between pregnancies, so comparison may not tell you much.

The pain I was having eased at the beginning of week and I’m hoping that’s over now and it was just part of the healing process. Still glad I went to the hospital to get checked over and that they gave me some codeine to get through it.

I just started my first proper period post-op. Bang on 4 weeks from the sort of post-op period that was part of all this resolving itself. Thought I would be super-emotional but actually just feel relieved that I have some idea what is going on with my cycle.

So, I think we’re going to try again once my period is over. Feels weirdly soon but I’m not sure that I want to wait as we had already been trying for over a year before the ectopic.

Hope you are all getting on okay x

MrsB2019x · 15/02/2021 07:02

@MumOf2LittleMinions57 Mine went down to 13 (which hospital classed as negative) in 2 weeks so not much longer than yours, and I was 5+4. Don’t think it really matters how long it takes as long as it gets to zero ☺️

@ActonBell Glad your pain has eased off now. The first period is a weird sort of relief isn’t it?

Hlump1980 · 15/02/2021 07:40

@MumOf2LittleMinions57 I took a pregnancy test 2 weeks after my op and it came up negative. So I assume my level was either or near zero. I was just 6 weeks when I had the surgery. If that helps you in anyway .

@hoppitt sorry I can’t help you . I get still weird twinges but it happens anytime but just after ovulation but I only had surgery in Dec

MumOf2LittleMinions57 · 16/02/2021 10:22

Hi ladies thanks for commenting on my last post I really appreciated you all listening to my frustration... I have spoken to my gp who has referred me back to my gynaecologist whom I was seeing before I had this ectopic she said he will be able to to discuss everything and hopefully do the hsg test she said gp’s can’t arrange this tests not sure if that’s correct. She also said according to my notes from the hospital my ovaries took fine so that’s a positive but nothing on my tubes. Thankfully the hospital I am referred to is private (bmi) but the nhs pay so I don’t have to wait months for appointments I just honestly don’t no wether I should even consider ttc after my 2-3 month wait xx

Kate105 · 16/02/2021 15:55

Hi everyone hope you’re doing ok. I have some news... It’s not ectopic! So, so relieved ❤️ Now to get to 12 weeks! Xxx

MrsB2019x · 16/02/2021 18:05

Yes @Kate105 that’s incredible! Congratulations lovely 🥰 just goes to show it can happen!

NigellasMicrowave · 17/02/2021 06:47

Super news @Kate105, you must be so relieved. I hope you have a peaceful wait until the next scan, though I completely understand if not all of the anxiety goes away.

HereIfYouNeedMe · 17/02/2021 07:34

@Kate105 aww huge congratulations to you 🥰

catlover101 · 17/02/2021 13:58

Can I join in please as I really need some emotional support and safe space to speak about my experience. I had a Letrozole cycle due to PCOS in November and sadly ended up with an ectopic pregnancy resulting in surgical removal of my left tube due to rupture last month at 7w 3d. I was internally bleeding and was taken into emergency surgery. Whilst on the operating table, my left Fallopian tube ruptured when they were doing a laparoscopy and the team ended up doing a laparotomy instead Sad Its been a little over 3 weeks since all this happened but I am all over the place right now with my emotions. Due to covid measures, I didn’t have anyone with me before, during or after the surgery whilst I was in the hospital. Having never had surgery in my life or even being admitted to a hospital, I am finding it all a bit too much to come to terms with. The consultant and the entire medical/nursing team were absolutely amazing and I am grateful for coming out the other side but I need tips to cope with it all as I feel like I am sinking into a deeper hole mentally. I am currently sat wondering if I should even consider TTC again which I suppose is normal considering everything that has happened. In a long winded way, basically what I am asking is what helped you cope and some positive stories.

Kate105 · 17/02/2021 16:42

Hi @catlover101 and welcome, you’ve come to the right place! I’m really sorry that you’ve had to go through all this- I had a very similar story to you back in September (although it was my right tube!). I definitely found the mental recovery much harder than the physical, and I’m not sure I’ve still fully processed everything. It was very hard going it alone but now I’m trying to see it as how amazingly strong I was to do that by myself. This group has really helped me feel less alone, because I don’t know anyone in real life who has gone through this.

It’s just going to take time, so it’s hard but just feel what you need to feel right now. And we’re here for you because we’ve all been there so we’ve got you!

For a wee bit of good news for you, we started TTC again in December and I’m now 7 weeks pregnant again. I just had a scan yesterday to check that all is ok this time and it is! You don’t need two tubes and you will get through this 💪🏻Xxx

DoctorBambino · 17/02/2021 17:24

@catlover101 welcome, sorry you have had to join us but you are among people who have been through the same as you. I also had a similar situation in September and had my right tube removed.

It is completely normal to feel how you are feeling now. Your hormones will be all over the place and you've been through a very traumatic experience. I personally found it helpful to cry when I needed to, but also to try and push myself to be grateful that I was still alive and remember I had finally at least conceived! Everyone will deal with things differently, there is no right way. You might feel hopeful and ok one minute, then back to hopelessness and despair.

We're all here for you. Its a journey but everything does start to feel less overwhelming over time. Big hugs for you 🤍

@Kate105 - Thank you for your reassuring words and congratulations on your wonderful news ❤️ It’s nice to know that there is light at the end of the tunnel. I agree with you about the physical v/s mental pain part. What I went through physically is probably 10% when compared to what I am going through mentally. I am so glad I found this group whilst also being very aware of the loss that has brought us together. I don’t know where I’ll go from here or what’s in store for me next but I am sure time will take some pain away.

@DoctorBambino, thank you for your kind words and for starting this thread. I have just read through it all and everyone on here are so brave to have been through so much. You are absolutely right wrt the hormones, I seem to be processing the loss in 2 modes - numb one minute or weeping the next. It’s so very raw right now and sitting at home with nothing else to do is just making it worse. I seem to be torturing myself with little things that I should have caught/done to prevent the ectopic. I know logically that nothing could have prevented it but here I am, still recollecting every small detail that happened. Starting tomorrow, I am going to try to be a bit more mindful and just not think about the past or the future. Today, I’ll just let myself grieve.
I am not sure if you have made any progress wrt private IVF, but I’ll be here supporting and cheering you on along with the rest of us for your BFP x

Luan82 · 19/02/2021 08:54

@hoppitt - could have written this myself !! The first month of ttc I was petrified ! The scar tissue definitely plays a large part in the pain so I know it's hard but try not to worry - the body is a marvellous machine and will do all it can to push the egg to the right place - the odds are still on your side for a normal pregnancy next time x

Luan82 · 19/02/2021 08:56

@MumOf2LittleMinions57 - mine took a while but that was only because they were very high when I finally took the meds quickly (like 2000!) x

Luan82 · 19/02/2021 08:58

@Kate105 - wonderful news!! 🌈👶🏼🙏🏼❤️xx

Luan82 · 19/02/2021 09:03

@catlover101 - so sorry you are here but welcome to the group, I'm afraid I can't comment on PCOS but we can definitely share your pain when it comes to PUL (pregnancy of unknown location !) - we are currently undertaking investigations atm as to my ectopic and fertility issues so fingers crossed I'll be able to share some news or info soon!! (I'm thinking positively!!) if you have any questions the ladies in the group are so lovely sure they'd be happy to help ❤️xx

MumOf2LittleMinions57 · 19/02/2021 09:25
