Tracking your cycle and possible BFP using RHR - part 5

Juno231 · 01/01/2021 19:03

Hi ladies,

This is for all of us with heart rate monitors who wish to help each other analyse the RHR patterns throughout our cycles.

Early research shows there's a correlation with increasing RHR and BFPs - so let's try and spot some together!

@LS2020 yes it’s internal.
I think I have a good chance but I know it’ll will be more responsibility, more pressure and I’m not sure if I just want the easy life at The moment. Don’t know if I have the energy to learn something new. It will be about 7k more a year though so would def make a difference to the quality of our life

lucyrp · 17/02/2021 07:39

@Juno231 yes team yellow so far ! Although everyone thinks pink so 🙊 I have no idea everything is so different everywhere else isn't it ?!

@mumof23188 I still haven't stopped looking at girls clothes. Can't help myself 😂🥰

Juno231 · 17/02/2021 09:29

@lucyrp omg and the swaddles are so much cuter for girls! Plus I love those big floral bloomers

@gezelligheid that's looking good! How many DPO are you now?

OP posts:
gezelligheid · 17/02/2021 09:56

I'm 8dpo now :) I'm not gonna test til after AF is due (if it's late) because I don't wanna see another chemical and get my hopes up :(

But I'm quietly confident in that rhr rise :)

How many DPO did it start to rise? First month watching mine and trying to understand what I'm looking out for Grin
gezelligheid · 17/02/2021 12:27

@TTC2021x that rise started at 5dpo :) hopefully the start of something but I won't know for a few days

gezelligheid · 17/02/2021 12:41

It's recalculated itself and gone up another 2bpm as resting 🤯

lucyrp · 17/02/2021 12:42

@Juno231 omg and when they get long enough hair for pigtails 🥺😂🥰

TTC2021x · 17/02/2021 12:52

@gezelligheid how exciting! Keep us updated x

LS2020 · 17/02/2021 15:31

@Juno231 are you getting your HSG done on NHS? Spoke to clinic abs they don’t do Hycosys privately but could do a HCG so they’re checking with doctor if they’ll allow it or not

Juno231 · 17/02/2021 16:59

@LS2020 yes it's on the NHS. My friend will be having her treatments at the same hospital though and they booked her in for a hycosy instead - I have no idea what makes them pick one over the other.

Just got a 3+ on a clear blue digital feel a bit relived now.

Might take one again in 2 weeks to make sure still at 3+ I wish they did tests for further along

LS2020 · 18/02/2021 07:18

@Juno231 when I rang yesterday they said it’s because at the time of my appointment that they were doing hycosys and not HCGs so that’s why I got put on Hycosy list. It’s £500 to have one privately so going to see if they reopen in March as lockdown eases. If I swap to NHS HCG list then I go back to bottom so don’t really want to do that

@Kona84 how many weeks are you now? Might be easier to go for a private scan around week 7-8?

Juno231 · 18/02/2021 07:27

@Kona84 don't take a test in two weeks please! Your hcg will be so high that the test results will be weaker (it's called the hook effect and kicks in around 7 weeks) and it'll freak you out.

@LS2020 gah it's so frustrating how it works! I got a letter from the NHS about my follow up at the fertility clinic and it's been scheduled for the 8th of July 😭

lucyrp · 18/02/2021 07:28

@Kona84 please don't worry yourself doing more tests all the time. Especially not line ones checking the strength as they don't mean anything once you've got your first line. At 25 dpo I had such strong lines and had a dye stealer and a 3+ but then I carried on testing randomly when I felt like it but at 40dpo my line was so light but I'm now 14 weeks ☺️

Kona84 · 18/02/2021 07:44

I’m 5+2 today, I’ll try not to test again.
I am trying to not get to far ahead of myself and take it a day at a time.
I just want to be 12 weeks already

Kona84 · 18/02/2021 07:45

I know that still doesn’t guarantee success but I think I’ll feel less anxious.
I have contemplated an early scan and will look into it.

lucyrp · 18/02/2021 08:00

@Kona84 I'd definitely recommend an early scan for piece of mind if you can afford one. I waited until 8 weeks for mine and it was lovely as could see their heart beat and even little limb buds etc

LS2020 · 18/02/2021 13:32

@Kona84 yeah I think an early scan will be better for you as you can get the hook effect and also stop watching your fitbit if you are, your RHR drops as the placenta officially forms at about 6 weeks so that will make you feel worse. I know it’s such a hard feeling.

@Juno231 I hate to think what mine will be if I ever get the tests done!

TTC2021x · 18/02/2021 16:31

I am 5dpo today and have noticed I have jumped.

Monday 64bpm
Tuesday 64bpm
Wednesday 65bpm
Thursday 67bpm

Is this a good sign?

gezelligheid · 18/02/2021 17:04

@TTC2021x it looks promising but it depends on whether that's normal for you usually? Compare it to your previous cycles :)

Juno231 · 18/02/2021 17:05

@TTC2021x it'll just be the normal rise during the luteal phase - would be too early to be pregnancy related. Looks good so far though!

My graph has been removed from my fitbit app. I dunno how to get it back, now I just have a list of numbers and no visual 🥺
