Tracking your cycle and possible BFP using RHR - part 5

Hi ladies,

This is for all of us with heart rate monitors who wish to help each other analyse the RHR patterns throughout our cycles.

Early research shows there's a correlation with increasing RHR and BFPs - so let's try and spot some together!

Hi ladies! Hoping I could get your advice. RHR increase to 57bpm for fertile week and few days after then dropped to 56bpm around 5/6dpo. I’m currently around 7/8 dpo today and I’ve noticed my RHR jump to 58bpm today?! A 2bpm increase, I’m just wondering if anyone had that and got a bfp? I didn’t know if it could be a sign of implantation?
My RHR normally increases by 1bpm when Af arrives but that’s not due for another week. Just seemed a bit strange a bit of a big jump.

Kona84 · 13/02/2021 20:06

@gezelligheid I had a 3-4 day plateau and got a bfp. Good luck

Kona84 · 13/02/2021 20:11

@NW2021 yes we have found correlation between increased RHR and BfP
This is my chart- I got a BfP at 10dpo. It rose from 71 at ovulation to 74 at BfP after ovulation I dipped back to 68 and then it rose again

@Kona84 thank you so much for responding! That’s really helpful! I’ve attached my chart as well. The red mark is where I ovulated (from bbt tracking) find it so fascinating the correction between it all!
I’m only 7/8 dpo so going to hold out till end of next week to test but this has made me really hopeful now 🥰

@mumof23188 I think we might be team yellow for now for a surprise. There aren't many things in life at the moment that are a surprise so I think we might not find out as what a wonderful surprise that would be 🥰 to start with I was desperate for a girl and was getting upset thinking it might be another boy but now I really don't mind either as long as they're happy and healthy. I might save money if its a boy as I have everything already and I just can't stop obsessing over baby girls stuff its so cute I wouldn't know when to stop 😍🤣

Juno231 · 14/02/2021 07:55

@lucyrp yay for team yellow! (why is it team green in the states?!)

@LS2020 it took me 11 calls on Friday but I've managed to book a scan and hsg for the 26th - I'm sorry your area seem to have stopped the dye tests atm! I don't get why it differs so much from area to area and all blamed on covid.

@poptypingchef that goes for you too my lovely - around here ivf etc seems to be going ahead as normal so why on earth are things at a standstill in your area - makes no sense!

@LarasMama well that sounds like a really healthy LP! 💪 Let's gear up for November babies 💕

@LS2020 I hope the ball starts rolling for you in March lovely.

@LarasMama sorry for AF but brilliant you’ve had such a long luteal phase and no spotting!! That’s great news ☺️

@lucyrp ahh lovely ☺️. That will be amazing to have a surprise. Yes I feel the same. It’s just amazing to have a healthy baby. I agree that girls clothes are unbelievably cute 🥰. They melt me just looking at them.

gezelligheid · 14/02/2021 22:38

After my post yesterday about my RHR staying the same for a few days, it's suddenly shot up by 3bpm. I'm currently 6dpo

5dpo even, sorry typo!

mumof23188 · 14/02/2021 22:52

@gezelligheid oooohh looking good! Lovely rise going on ☺️🤞

GlassLily · 15/02/2021 00:02

That's great @gezelligheid! Keep us updated. Wish mine would rise like this!

Kona84 · 15/02/2021 08:06

Are you sure of your ovulation fate @gezelligheid looking at your chart I would have said you’re closer to 10/11dpo based on that drop. Your chart looks a lot like mine I ovulated where you have that M shape- my LH peaks looked exactly like that

Kona84 · 15/02/2021 08:34

I meant to say I ovulated after the m shape the m shape was my peak LH

mumof23188 · 15/02/2021 09:26

@Juno231 how are you? Any news? Did AF show?

gezelligheid · 15/02/2021 10:02

@Kona84 mhm, the M shape ended on on CD6

Kona84 · 15/02/2021 11:19

@gezelligheid probably not then.

Yours just looks so much similar to mine

LS2020 · 15/02/2021 21:45

Well I’m 1dpo and who knows that’s going on with my RHR. Don’t think it’ll be going any higher 🤷‍♀️

@poptypingchef where are you with your fertility clinic?

@Juno231 ah glad you managed to get one! I’m going to put a reminder to call on my day off on Wednesday to see if they will let me pay to do it private to get it done 🤞🏻

GlassLily · 15/02/2021 22:34

@LS2020 I am also 1DPO and my RHR is stubbornly low. Normally it would be steadily rising at this point up to about 63-65 but it's stuck on 61.

Kona84 · 16/02/2021 07:57

@GlassLily and @LS2020 don’t write yourselves off yet.
My RHR decreased by a beat for 1DPO, 2dpo then levelled off for 3,4 and 5 then started rising at 6dpo but had only gone from 66-68bpm

Kona84 · 16/02/2021 08:09

Morning ladies, I’ve marked up my chart to show peak LH and BFP.
Im exactly 5 weeks now and my Hr has gone up to 75 ( I did have an earlier rise to 75 but it was due to not wearing watch all day)
2 days of 75 now in a row.
I’m starting to feel more and more anxious as my last pregnancy stopped at 6 weeks (although I didn’t know this until week 8 my HR knew this on the day)

A job that I’ve been waiting to come up for ages was posted yesterday. I’ve not told work that I’m pregnant yet and I’m considering applying for the job.
Do I have to tell them at interview about been pregnant?

Juno231 · 16/02/2021 09:51

@Kona84 you don't have to tell them you're pregnant until week 25 I think! Double check the mat leave policy though, it will specify when you have to tell them by. Lots of ladies don't know they're pregnant at 5 weeks so feign ignorance I'd say

@mumof23188 the bugger didn't arrive! The ONE time I need it to for my day 3 test and HSG and I'm 4 days late lol. BFNs of course. Had a temp drop today so hoping the witch will show later. This is the weirdest cycle I've had in a looong time. I'm 16DPO and CD31!

OP posts:
mumof23188 · 16/02/2021 16:23

@Kona84 definitely don’t tell them yet.

@Juno231 that’s just unfair!! Typical isn’t it. Hope the witch shows up ASAP and it doesn’t affect the timing of your tests!

LS2020 · 16/02/2021 20:13

@GlassLily I’m on 61 for the third day so who knows 🤷‍♀️ I got a positive OPK on Saturday though so pretty sure I’m 2dpo.

@Kona84 thanks for your chart - mines high like yours before O which I never have so let’s hope it’s a good sign! That’s a lovely high RHR so try not to worry 😊
Is the job with your company? The only thing I’m aware of is that you have to be employed for a certain length of time before you get a company mat policy (you’d still be eligible for the gov stat one) but if it’s internal go for it!

@Juno231 ah that’s so annoying! That happened with me this month but 2 days early so had to pull it all forward

GlassLily · 16/02/2021 21:17

@Juno231 that's so annoying! BFN on FRER? Those cycles are the worst, where your body really messes with you. You can't stop thinking about it til AF shows... Because what if it's just a late BFP or a dodgy test? But at the same time you are sure AF is lurking there waiting to hit. Hope you are ok.

GlassLily · 16/02/2021 21:19

My RHR is climbing, just seems a little slower than usual. 2DPO
