Tracking your cycle and possible BFP using RHR - part 5

Juno231 · 01/01/2021 19:03

Hi ladies,

This is for all of us with heart rate monitors who wish to help each other analyse the RHR patterns throughout our cycles.

Early research shows there's a correlation with increasing RHR and BFPs - so let's try and spot some together!

Oh wow @lucyrp

Kona84 · 08/02/2021 20:39

@Juno231I started mid 2019.
Kept missing my fertile zone until November when I got the opks. Turned out I peaked around CD20 not 14.
Managed to conceive in December 2019 but had miscarried by early feb 2020 ( this time last year I was in the middle of it)
After the miscarriage we wanted to try again but covid happened- my partners mental health spiralled and it wasn’t until August this year that we could even talk about trying again.

I was trying to time the deed around CD20 again but nothing happening. Getting worried - thinking partners medication affecting it- my age affecting it (I’m 36)

December 2020 I was feeling really low because 2 family members and 2 friends had both had babies in 2020 and were celebrating their first Xmas as a family and I was so envious and felt bad for myself - proper pity party.
I didn’t want to start the new year feeling like this and needed to focus on a different timeline rather than 12 month post miscarriage so decided I was back at cycle 1 of trying. I bought more opks ( I stopped testing because my cycle was always around CD20 for a peak. I’m glad I started testing again because this month my peak came cd14/15 we dtd without knowing this on cd13.
I wasn’t really letting myself believe this month worked because what are the chances right.
But my symptoms were strong from 1DPO - I know that is far too early but my symtoms are below:
1-3dpo super weepy cried for stupid reasons. Heartburn and anxious.
5-6dpo mainly waves of nausea, cramps and boobs started hurting. Very vivid dreams too. Also had the weirdest CM it was like lotion but stretchy and very thick.
7-9dpo - boobs really sore hurt to walk fast.
More cramping, nausea increase in appetite and some morning diarrhoea. Headache too.
10dpo- another vivid dream, no cramps but frequent urination and boobs still hurting, tired and a bit gassy (convinces AF would be here soon so I did a mid afternoon test just to prove it was negative - came up faint positive.
11dpo - boons hurting less still got a headache (this was worrying to me as I started thinking maybe a chemical)
12dpo today- test darker. No cramps, but bit queasy. No other symptoms but Hr gone up from 72-73 since 11dpo so feeling better about that.

I haven’t taken a frer yet. Tomorrow is cycle day 28 and AF scheduled on Ovia. aF not due for another 2 days according to premom and Fitbit.
I’m still anxious that this could disappear.

I’ve decided not to telL my partner until I get to 6 weeks (this will be pas the last one) This would fall around his birthday but think I’ll tell him after as I don’t want to tarnish his birthday if we were to lose it again.

I’m trying not to get carried away but will be due October 19th.

These next few weeks are going to be horrendously difficult to get through

Kona84 · 08/02/2021 20:40

Wow that ended up really long sorry

LarasMama · 08/02/2021 23:19

@mumof23188 Thank you dear! How are you feeling? How's the nausea?
I'm 10 dpo today and my RHR dropped back to 62. I have no symptoms so I doubt we caught the egg. Just feel like PMS is full on right now. I am super moody and weepy, had a horrible nightmare and constant heartburn. But I read that heartburn can be linked to progesterone and considered normal in the luteal phase. So, not getting any hopes up. As my LP is quite short, spotting should start any day now.
As far as weaning, I was hoping for her to self wean as we're down to nursing to sleep. But she's drinking a lot at night these days and it's been affecting my overall well being I think. So I'm trying to space of the nursing sessions as much as possible at night and probably start weaning by spring.

@Juno231 Maybe it's just something minor that can be adjusted easily. When one thing is off in the endocrine system it can affect fertility. I hope you get your BFP soon!

@Kona84 Thanks for sharing! With dd I also had symptoms super early. I think there's a theory behind that. Doesn't the blastocyst release some hormone that can trigger early symptoms?

GlassLily · 08/02/2021 23:53

I just got a notification from my Fitbit, giving me a pat on the back for lowering my RHR "by doing more steps". Thanks Fitbit, but I actually lowered my RHR by having a miscarriage 🤦🏼‍♀️😩

GlassLily · 09/02/2021 22:00

How's everyone's RHR? Mine just increased to 60, which is unusual for CD13 (usually I ovulate between CD17-CD21)

mumof23188 · 10/02/2021 09:53

@lucyrp what a gorgeous scan pic 😍. I’m guessing girl ❤️ Have you asked for nub guesses on the pregnancy bit yet?

@LarasMama I feel awful haha. The nausea is a killer. I feel sick all day everyday and I am sick every night. I’m living on junk food 🤦🏻‍♀️.

How many Dpo are you now? Any news? Do you have your appointment in March? Hope the weaning goes well. Must be difficult when they are asking for it. Does your DD drink any other form of milk?

@GlassLily bloody Fitbit! That’s just cruel 😩. Sometimes your cycle can be affected by a CP so you may ovulate earlier. Hope you are ok!

GlassLily · 10/02/2021 10:00

@mumof23188 yes I'm fine thank you! Its been a couple of weeks now and I've had time to talk it all through with a few different friends which has really helped. I mostly found the Fitbit thing darkly amusing, but did wonder whether I should write to them explaining how that's not an ideal notification - especially as tracking RHR for TTC/pregnancy seems to be gaining popularity. I know I would not have found it remotely amusing had the timing or circumstances been only slightly different - it probably would have set me off crying at the very least!

That's interesting about CP messing with ovulation, I'm doing OPKs so will report back if it happens any earlier than usual.

Sorry to hear you're feeling so unwell, I hope it eases up soon!

lucyrp · 10/02/2021 10:11

@mumof23188 thanks 🥰🥰 I have indeed but on a nub Facebook page and 5 people have said "lean girl" so 😅 we announced on social media last night and got so much love but feeling a bit sad this morning that its not just our little secret anymore. Hormones for you! 🥺😭😂

LS2020 · 10/02/2021 13:38

@lucyrp what a beautiful scan photo! Can’t believe you’re so far along already!!

@GlassLily that’s awful, hope you’re looking after yourself ❤️

@mumof23188 it’s more important that you eat than what you eat so you take care of you!!

Expecting to ovulate on Valentine’s so just ramping up DTD this week.
Had my day 3 bloods back and apparently my oestrogen levels were low. I had a weird AF which was 3 days early so they’ve told me to retest next month but rang fertility clinic and they basically said doctor won’t see me until all my tests are done so I won’t get any oestrogen help until had my Hycosy etc done (which they aren’t doing) if that’s what I need. Google seems to be annoyingly unhelpful but not sure if that’s my frustration at the whole situation.. should have had this test in August 🙃

GlassLily · 11/02/2021 07:35

@LS2020 I'm also due to ovulate on or around Valentine's Day! Love is in the air.... 🤣

lucyrp · 11/02/2021 07:45

@LS2020 thank you! Me niether 🥰😬

mumof23188 · 11/02/2021 08:18

@GlassLily I’m so glad to hear you are doing ok. Lovely that you’ve been able to talk about it with friends. Talking definitely helps.

I definitely think Fitbit needs an option for pregnancy because it’s definitely affected by it. Would be nice to have that option on there. Hopefully your cycle won’t be messed up, I’ve just read that it can do. Yes let us know how it goes ☺️. Thank you! Obviously symptoms are a great thing but I’m struggling with feeling so hungry but unable to eat 😩 I’m definitely HANGRY 🤣🤣

@lucyrp eeeeeek 😍 will you find out the sex? Oh bless you lovely. Bloody hormones!

@LS2020 yes definitely! I had a big packet of ready salted crisps for dinner last night 🤣. Oh my gosh how incredibly frustrating is that!!! So basically you won’t get any help at all until they’ve done the tests which they aren’t even doing???!! I’m so annoyed for you! Totally crap! Have you thought about doing it privately? Fran said she was having the hycosy done privately.

Ahh lovely that you are due to OV on v day 😍😍

mumof23188 · 11/02/2021 08:19

@Juno231 how are you doing? Where are you at In your cycle? Hope the appointment goes well today for you ☺️🤞

lucyrp · 11/02/2021 08:53

@mumof23188 were not decided yet. We were definitely going to before we got pregnant we always said yes we'd find out but now we actually are we kind of want a surprise 😂🙈 we'll see. Maybe it will get too tempting at the next scan not to ask, although I'm not going to believe whatever they tell me as 3 people I know got told girls and ended up having boys so🤣

Juno231 · 11/02/2021 09:08

@GlassLily omg the fitbit is so insensitive! Def write to them so they know. Did I mention I keep getting congratulatory messages from femometer for having logged with them for 16 cycles? As if that's something to celebrate!

@mumof23188 I'm 11dpo but feeling pretty negative - just convinced it won't be this cycle either. Will update you after the appointment though! Has your sickness gotten any better at all? How many weeks/days are you now?

@Kona84 oh wow that's been quite a journey to get here then! And you have a willpower of steel if you manage not to tell OH until the 6 week mark but omg what a wonderful birthday present for him!

OP posts:
Juno231 · 11/02/2021 09:42

Well I just had the appointment! They were 15 min late and it lasted a whopping 13 min Grin. She never even asked if OH was there and asked me all the questions! She also didn't seem to have any of my results from previous tests, she could just see that they'd taken place.

She was a bit concerned about my family history of early menopause and has told me to come in on CD2-4 for a repeat test of day 3 FSH and estradiol, plus AMH this time. OH has to redo his SA as well and she was surprised they hadn't put him on antibiotics after the last result showed an abnormally high count of white blood cells. On day 1 I also have to call the hospital to arrange an HSG so it sounds like I'll have that done in the next two weeks or so. After that I need a follow up appointment to discuss results and we'll take it from there. No mention of IUIs/IVF or anything like that. The lady was rather to the point and perhaps a bit brusque - but at least we've got the ball rolling!

Hi all, does anyone have any input on my RHR? First day of AF on 30 Nov was 68 and first day of AF on 20 Jan was 67 bpm. I didn't wear in December as I forgot. AF is due tomorrow and I'm on 74bpm which is the highest my RHR has ever been. The 6th Feb point is when I think I may have experience implantation if that's possible because I got a really sharp pain over my ovary that took my breath away! Any thought anyone?

Kona84 · 11/02/2021 17:04

Looks promising my RHR is 74bpm yesterday that is day AF was due but I got my BfP a few days ago.

LS2020 · 11/02/2021 19:11

@GlassLily haha yes for some Valentine’s romance!!!

@mumof23188 yep 😔 a few people have said that now, going to see if they’ll let me do if I pay for it and doesn’t impact my NHS referral. Got to have bloods redone anyway so if oestrogen is low again I’m going to push to see doctor again.

@Juno231 yours sounds bit like ours - asked some direct questions and then didn’t want to hear anything else. Hope you have better luck getting in for your scans than me! They didn’t say anything on further treatment to me either, I think with our age they want us to keep trying

Kona84 · 11/02/2021 21:03

I did a digital test yesterday at 14dpo and AF due date.
I got a 2-3 weeks result which ties in with the 24th been the date of conception.
I’m going to test next week to hopefully see a 3+
I left my watch at home yesterday so my HR averaged 75bpm for the time I had it on it home. It dropped back to 74bpm today. I’m not worried about that as I know yesterday was not fully tracked.

I keep checking my boobs - they’ve been sore since about 6dpo and when I miscarried last time that was the first symptom that I noticed had gone.

LarasMama · 11/02/2021 22:09

So...here I am at 12dpo with just the weirdest RHR pattern. last cycle it just stagnated for a really long time. This cycle during my luteal phase it’s just doing some weird up and down. PMS has been horrible, I had cramping and on and off cramping. I did poas just for kicks a couple of days ago and as expected it was negative. 😂 I’m hoping AF will arrive soon, so I can restart. 🤷🏻‍♀️

@mumof23188 Today I found the reason for dd frequent nightly waking and feedings: Last set of molars. And you wouldn’t believe how far one is out already. Poor baby. I have my appointment in March and really curious whether she will even do blood work if I haven’t weaned dd by then.
How are you feeling? When’s your scan?❤️

LarasMama · 11/02/2021 22:14

Oh, apparently I’m 13 dpo! At least my lp isn’t short this cycle. 🙏🏻 I ov’ed on 29/1. Has anyone ever seen this type of pattern maybe with bbt? Can’t figure it out!

@LarasMama have you tested yet?
I would have thought looking at the chart you ovulated around 26/27th

lucyrp · 12/02/2021 07:12

@Kona84 yay🥰🥰
