@MotherOfShihTzus it's likely from all the extra meds I had to take the last cycle.
You can't be such a worried mama! You'd need to stay out in the heat for at least an hour before it starts, affecting you, and even that might not be long enough, so stop worrying!

MotherOfShihTzus · 21/07/2021 18:02

Thanks @KatBeCool - I am a worrier at the best of times! But do need to stop.

Best of luck for ovulation! Hoping this is the cycle for you :)

starkid · 22/10/2021 12:20

How is everyone? Sorry I dropped off, have now had 3 failed transfers so feeling very low. My last fresh IVF cycle managed to freeze 4 blastocysts though so that's good. Just waiting for AF due any day now to call and book in a FET, my 4th transfer. Still no bfp's at all here after 3 and a half years.

KatBeCool · 22/10/2021 15:17

@starkid I'm sorry to hear it's still not working out for you. Same story for me. 3 failed transfers, one was with donor egg. I have one more my own embryo and one donor left. I'll be transferring after I skip this coming cycle, so sometime in November or December.

starkid · 22/10/2021 15:33

@KatBeCool good to hear from you and sorry in a similar state!

KatBeCool · 21/12/2021 03:51

@starkid @MotherOfShihTzus how are two doing? Any progress in the journey?

starkid · 21/12/2021 08:14

@katbecool hi! I'm actually having two frozen day 5 embryos transferred this afternoon. I've also opted to add the lubion progesterone injections this cycle (and they really hurt for some reason!!), and assisted hatching if needed. So yeah, onto my 4th round and testing day is 4th January. I've decided if this round also fails I'm having a break from IVF. We'll still have two frozen ones to use in future.

How are you?

KatBeCool · 21/12/2021 10:44

@starkid great timing! Wishing you all the luck and crossing all the fingers for you! I just had my frozen transfer on the 13th, which also happened to be my 4th time. And yesterday I got a bfp, so there's hope for the 4th time. I'm wishing it sticks so much. It has to, I don't have any more left. I am actually doing only the progesterone injections because it's no mess and no effort. I bought an auto-injector from Union Medico and it is the biggest helper. That thing is magical because I can barely feel the injections.

starkid · 21/12/2021 10:55

@KatBeCool wow amazing news congratulations!! Fingers crossed for you what a lovely early christmas present :)

moonmother2 · 21/12/2021 23:10

Hello,
this is my first time posting.
I'm 26 and I have been trying for 2 years now. I lost two pregnancies in the past 2 years.

I met three doctors and they all said I'm young and should just continue trying with no fertility meds.

the problem is I want to be a mother like right now :( I'm so sad

KatBeCool · 26/12/2021 03:14

@moonmother2 Do prenatal blood tests and SHG/HSG, and semen analysis for your partner. Those are usually first steps to getting answers.

moonmother2 · 26/12/2021 06:34

@KatBeCool thank you. I have a feeling it's something to do with my husband because I have done some testing myself and they said all is fine. he is a bit overweight and was a heavy smoker.

KatBeCool · 26/12/2021 10:30

@moonmother2 you may need to be creative in getting him to have a "revelation" that smoking and unhealthy eating habits can absolutely be the cause of you not getting pregnant. Most men are oblivious to the fact they a lot depends on them too.

KatBeCool · 26/12/2021 10:32

@starkid how did your transfer go?

starkid · 01/01/2022 14:18

@KatBeCool - it seemed to go well, had assisted hatching and both frozen blastocysts were hatching as transferred. Blood test day is Tuesday, I'm holding off on testing before this time. Not had my period early like I did 2 out of the 3 previous goes, but then I also didn't get my period until stopping my meds with my previous frozen cycle.

Did you notice anything different in this positive IVF round as opposed to the failed ones? I hope all is still going well with you :)

KatBeCool · 01/01/2022 14:48

@starkid I had my two blood tests a day before Christmas eve and then Monday after Christmas. The numbers were good but my progesterone was a bit low but still within range so they doubled my dose. Early scan is scheduled for next Wednesday.
My most noticeable symptom was sore boobs. It never happened with any other transfer. The day of the beta I felt nauseated for hours but maybe it was unrelated. I also felt very noticeable and long lasting cramps for about 3 days around the beta day. Other than the boobs, the only other thing I'm feeling now is shortness of breath. It's pretty hard on me because I taught myself to breathe slow and deep and now I'm forced to breathe faster so I'm constantly out of breath.

You're brave for not testing! I couldn't. I tested at 6dp3dt on a blue dye test because it's all I had, saw a faint line, didn't believe it and moved on. Then tested with frer next day and it was a clear positive. Do you have any symptoms? Not starting your period is a good one lol. Fingers crossed for good news for you!

starkid · 01/01/2022 15:01

@KatBeCool - no symptoms at all except no period probably just from the estrogen and progesterone holding it off again. No soreness in my boobs whatsoever :( I had a tiny bit of spotting on and off for a couple of days last week, but I think it was just from being rough with the Crinone gel.

Glad to hear you're doing so well :)

KatBeCool · 01/01/2022 16:40

@starkid lack of sore boobs isn't anything to worry about. Not everyone gets them. I had that during many natural cycles that failed miserably, so not an indication. Maybe spotting was implantation? Seriously hoping it's your time!

MotherOfShihTzus · 03/01/2022 20:21

@KatBeCool fantastic news! So happy to hear of your bfp!! ☺️ have you had the early scan?

@starkid rooting for you! I had no symptoms on my bfp, except I noticed an increase in my resting heart rate on the Fitbit.

Sorry I've been so quiet; got married and had the honeymoon! I'm currently just over 6 months, all going well so far, although having lower bank pain as I had early diastasis recti and and anterior placenta. I'm genuinely so happy that I don't even mind the pain one bit 😂

KatBeCool · 03/01/2022 20:32

@MotherOfShihTzus my scan is on Wednesday. I have zero symptoms still other than shortness of breath and sore boobs, which I don't feel most of the time. It's pointless to poas, it's not changing anymore because levels are high. But I need to know more! I don't have patience to wait. I'm still not believing I'm pregnant.
I hear you about the pain, I probably wouldn't care either as long as it takes me to parenthood.

@starkid you still haven't tested? I'm so rooting for you tomorrow!

starkid · 03/01/2022 20:34

@MotherOfShihTzus that's amazing I'm glad you are doing well, congratulations on your marriage! :D Are you finding out the baby's sex or leaving as a surprise?

Oh that's reassuring about the lack of symptoms before your bfp, you never know then, will soon find out tomorrow afternoon...

starkid · 04/01/2022 12:56

GUYS guys..... the blood test this morning was positive. Hcg 6136! WTF. Still no symptoms whatsoever that I can tell. Got to continue the estrogen tabs, crinone gel and also the lubion injections. 7 week scan on 25th Jan.
AH can't believe we all finally got a bfp!

KatBeCool · 04/01/2022 14:22

@starkid you could've known you're pregnant a week ago with these numbers! Congratulations! Omg! What grade were your embryos? Were they already hatched? They must've implanted right away for such high beta! My first beta was 57, although it was a day too soon because of Christmas, and second one four days later was 341. You're quite an overachiever :) Maybe you're having triplets!

starkid · 04/01/2022 14:28

@KatBeCool - don't hahaha not triplets!! So I know they were good grade, not sure of specifics. And we paid for assisted hatching and one was almost fully hatched and the other just starting when they transferred. But yes, very high numbers, I'm so shocked as literally nothing is happening to me haha. The small amount of bleeding last week might have been implantation though, and sometimes white discharge but thought that might be the crinone gel. Who knows! Exciting :) When's your 7 week scan?

KatBeCool · 04/01/2022 14:44

@starkid I'm having a 5w5d scan tomorrow. The fertility clinic likes to do an early scan.

You knoooow... Assisted hatching can slightly contribute to embryos splitting. I almost guarantee you, you're having more than one. I just have a feeling lol.

Do your vitamins contain magnesium? Apparently mine don't, I never even paid attention.
