Anyone gotten pregnant 1st month trying? Or in under 3

Asking for some reassurance lately, on my TWW and me and I feel like I see a lot of people saying they struggled while TTC or took a while

When I aired these concerns to a friend she mentioned that some people speak out about it to support others going through that etc, you very rarely hear of the stories where someone got pregnant quickly (which she then told me she got pregnancy first try which I didn’t know)

So my question is who here has gotten pregnant either first try/month or in under 3 months? Which I’d say is relatively quick

I got pregnant 1st month of trying twice. Unfortunately the first time it resulted in miscarriage, but the month after the miscarriage we tried again and pregnant 1st time, she is almost 3 now. It took 5 months to conceive her older sister.

When we decided to start TTC, we were very much aware it can take 1-2 years. We conceived on the 3rd month and feel very fortunate - it's just different for everyone!

MyNameForToday1980 · 15/10/2020 22:22

I did.

I expected it to take ages, I was 36, a bit overweight, and had never been pregnant before (despite not always being as careful as I should).

Month 1.

I was shocked, grateful, and scared.

I never mention this IRL, as I recognise how hard it could have been. And I'd hate to upset someone who was struggling.

I stopped taking the pill in November, was pregnant by mid Feb, bump due in November. I have been taking the pill for 14 years.

We didn’t expect it to happen so quickly because people had warned us it wouldn’t but we are so delighted it did!

Good luck.

Both times I got pregnant the 2nd month of trying (my husband was disappointed, he hoped my desire to DTD everyday would last longer!) Grin

BalconiWaferAddict · 15/10/2020 22:24

Yup - decided to start trying in the January, baby born in December. I think it’s just if it happens like that you don’t talk about it.

AliMonkey · 15/10/2020 22:24

Yes. Three pregnancies, all of which were conceived on the first time of trying (literally - each time we had sex once at about the right time, got pregnant - we didn't have a very active sex life!) The first unfortunately led to a miscarriage but the other two are now teenagers.

It did at least make me relieved that we hadn't chanced not using contraception previously!

Chascha18 · 15/10/2020 22:25

I got pregnant the first month of trying although it didn't end successfully.
Now we are on cycle 3 of TTC with no luck yet but fingers crossed 🤞🏼

nomorespaghetti · 15/10/2020 22:25

Yes, first month of trying, twice!

Aahh99 · 15/10/2020 22:26

Me.
Both times, it was the first month without contraception.
I wasn't on anything, we used to use condoms to finish up but not through the whole of sex.
I'm so lucky and grateful to have it happen so easy for us.

therewillbelies · 15/10/2020 22:27

We started trying in October and then found out I was pregnant in early Nov. Turns out I got pregnant in September before we started 'trying'. I don't tell people IRL as most people don't find it so easy.

Yes, me too.
Theworldisfullofgs · 15/10/2020 22:28

Yes 1st time, both times.

DorotheaHomeAlone · 15/10/2020 22:28

Yes, first time for all three DC. We are very lucky in this area and very pleased that we were careful in the 10 years together before ttc.

Aahh99 · 15/10/2020 22:28

I tracked my periods, so I knew roughly when I would ovulate occording to that, sex twice in that week, and caught.
2 year old and one due early Jan!

StormyInTheNorth · 15/10/2020 22:29

Me. It was of the 3rd time of asking. I was amazed. I've struggled with an eating disorder since I was very young and I had a BMI of 15.5 (It's 16 6 years later, so I'm managing.) I wasn't really ready but DH was so I thought that it would take a few years despite my period never stopping.
It's very different for everyone I think. Not sure why.

Gloschick · 15/10/2020 22:29

Yep - both children conceived in first month of trying in late 20s.

burglarbettybaby · 15/10/2020 22:30

First baby took a year so I thought second one would but next time around I got a bpf a few weeks after deciding to try again.

groutingqueen · 15/10/2020 22:31

Yes both times I caught straightaway. Must've been as soon as I came off the pill first time and first time having sex second time... 14m between my 2!

YellowishZebra · 15/10/2020 22:31

Apparently my mum did 3 times, only had to look at my dad so she says.
Wasn't much of a comfort for me as I was told after I'd been trying several years but it does happen

TigerDroveAgain · 15/10/2020 22:31

Yes, I was 39 - more than 20 years of sexual activity avoiding pregnancy then conceived at the first attempt. The evidence is a hulking 18 year old.

ImFree2doasiwant · 15/10/2020 22:32

Dc 1 2.5 yrs to conceive.
Dc2 about 2.5 minutes. Literally, had sex once.

PamDenick · 15/10/2020 22:32

Married in early August. Baby born 9 and a half months later…

TheGriffle · 15/10/2020 22:32

Yes with both. Implant out end of May, pregnancy by July both times.
