Anyone gotten pregnant 1st month trying? Or in under 3

Asking for some reassurance lately, on my TWW and me and I feel like I see a lot of people saying they struggled while TTC or took a while

When I aired these concerns to a friend she mentioned that some people speak out about it to support others going through that etc, you very rarely hear of the stories where someone got pregnant quickly (which she then told me she got pregnancy first try which I didn’t know)

So my question is who here has gotten pregnant either first try/month or in under 3 months? Which I’d say is relatively quick

With my first, I took 9 months of tracking, crying, overthinking, worrying. All the typical and expected TTC things.

On my second, myself and DH had a 'maybe a second baby wouldnt be the worst thing' conversation, I drank a bottle of prosecco the next Friday, and I was staring at a positive test 3 weeks later. This is just after we were told have baby #2 will be 'difficult' as issues were discovered on my smear test. I am due in 2 weeks.

I think it really is down to luck. You never know how its going to go. There never seems to be any logic around TTC.

Yep - three times. Once within a couple of months, twice not really "trying" but happened as soon as we stopped using condoms.

I got married on Saturday (time of the month) and my daughter was conceived on the Wednesday.

My other child was conceived after the first month. For various reasons we thought it would take us several years to successfully get pregnant 😱

ellenpartridge · 16/10/2020 12:30

Yes, 2 months with our daughter. It then took 15 months the 2nd time which ended in MMC and then 3 months after that.

OverTheRainbow88 · 16/10/2020 12:40

First month trying with both DC

Tabbycat92 · 16/10/2020 13:03

Yes first month here!

TheWhalrus · 16/10/2020 13:09

We took 4, but didn't actually DtD in three of those months (I was travelling lots owing to work commitments plus a family bereavement and had bad flu for a couple of weeks). We only DtD twice in that period (and only once in a way that could result in babies, sorry if TMI).

firstimemamma · 16/10/2020 13:20

Me, first try. My age 27 and his 28.

CorpusCallosum · 16/10/2020 13:22

3rd cycle. I'd been off the pill for a couple of years by then.

Pollypockett23 · 16/10/2020 13:26

Took me 3 months Smile

badg3r · 16/10/2020 13:34

I got pregnant second month, fourth month, fourth month. Within my friendship group I would say there is a real range from some happy surprises to some trying for up to two years.

loveisanopensore · 16/10/2020 13:39

First month both times.
Second time I expected it to take longer as I was still breastfeeding the first but no.

Onedropbeat · 16/10/2020 13:40

I tried for years with ex.
Was told I had PCOS

We broke up and when trying with DH both times it happened first month

primrose2018 · 16/10/2020 13:46

I did. Unfortunately the first 3 times all resulted in miscarriages. Then I went on to have 2 DCs, both conceived the first month of trying!

I know a couple of people who’ve had similar. Makes me think sometimes it’s something going on with the man that’s not looked into
TheDaydreamBelievers · 16/10/2020 13:52

I had whacky cycles so it technically took me 6 months but only cycle 2 (and I'm pretty sure the first cycle was anovulatory so technically the first ovulation after pill!). Just to say even if things look messed up it can be fine.

I'm 7+5 weeks so still crossing fingers that it sticks

PacificOcean · 16/10/2020 14:00

Although I don't go on about it IRL, it's probably fairly obvious that it happened quickly for us because of the relatively small age gaps between my DC (3 DC in 3 years 10 months).

passthegin1234 · 16/10/2020 14:08

Both times I got pregnant within 3 months. Ds- 3rd cycle
Currently pregnant after 1st cycle.
Was expecting it to take longer both times. I found SMEP to work and also had acupuncture with DS ( not a popular view on MN!)

CoffeeDay · 16/10/2020 14:23

Same, we never really "tried" because each time we DTD around my fertile window I ended up pregnant. Sadly we had problems with recurrent miscarriage so getting to the baby part wasn't so straightforward.

chickensoup23 · 16/10/2020 14:26

Me both times. Appreciate I'm extremely lucky. DC1 caught on the 2nd month and currently pregnant with number 2 - was literally the first time of trying. Crazy lucky and very appreciative of that

BloodyCreateUsername · 16/10/2020 14:26

I got pregnant virtually as soon as we decided to try. We were both under the impression that it could take us some time to conceive, for no real reason, and we’re both like oh well that’s that then Grin

Nonamesavail · 16/10/2020 14:28

Yep...all 4

Hardbackwriter · 16/10/2020 14:35

Ds took two years (though with three miscarriages along the way). Currently 24 weeks - this one took one shag with no timing etc (in fact we weren't really sure if we thought it was a good idea to try or not - had our minds made up for us!), which I am still in a bit of a state of disbelief about.

NMS90 · 16/10/2020 14:39

We conceived literally the day we said 'shall we start trying'. Fast forward a couple of weeks and I was frustrated because my period was late and I wanted to start the first cycle of trying - then it dawned on me to take a pregnancy test!

passthemustard · 16/10/2020 16:00

DC1 and DC2 first time. DC3 took 6 months. DC4 happened without even trying. And DC5 first time (due in December)
