Anyone gotten pregnant 1st month trying? Or in under 3

Asking for some reassurance lately, on my TWW and me and I feel like I see a lot of people saying they struggled while TTC or took a while

When I aired these concerns to a friend she mentioned that some people speak out about it to support others going through that etc, you very rarely hear of the stories where someone got pregnant quickly (which she then told me she got pregnancy first try which I didn’t know)

So my question is who here has gotten pregnant either first try/month or in under 3 months? Which I’d say is relatively quick

First time of trying. Throwing up before AF due and continued for nine months!

thisnthat · 15/10/2020 22:54

3rd month with 1st pregnancy (miscarriage) at 35
1 month with 2nd pregnancy (DS1) at 35
1 month with 3rd pregnancy (DS2) at 38

FourPlasticRings · 15/10/2020 22:56

First time, twice over.

YorkshirePud1 · 15/10/2020 22:56

Second month of trying for me. I was 37 so was ready for it to take longer and so was pleasantly surprised. My husband was less pleased as he'd been looking forward to a lot more trying.

From my friends I'd say that majority conceived around 3-6 month mark after stopping their contraception.

Tootletum · 15/10/2020 22:56

Yup and I was gutted, long planned trip had to be cancelled. I got pregnant after one half accident at 35, two months at 37 and entirely by mistake at 39, still not sure how! Mirena is now my only choice and I still test occasionally to be sure...

Pinkchocolate · 15/10/2020 22:56

I did once in my twenties and once in my thirties.

PearPickingPorky · 15/10/2020 22:57

@SemperIdem

*COIL had my COIL taken out!
This made me LAUGH!

I thought that was exceptionally quick after a child, and a strange way to describe childbirth.

I too got pregnant first month both times, after having copper coil out.

I used a period tracker app to see when fertile window was.

28- 1st month (miscarriage)
29- 1st month (DS now 6 years old)
32- 1st month (miscarriage)
32- 2nd month (DS now 2)
DH has had a vasectomy now!

Poppyismyfavourite · 15/10/2020 23:09

I did! Passed my work probation in April, conceived in May (aged 29)! Total shock as I'd convinced myself it would take ages!
I have 2 friends also pregnant, one got pregnant first time, I think the other took about 6 months ish.

batteriesgoing · 15/10/2020 23:13

Me. I get pregnant easily but miscarry easily too. Before dd I had four early losses each month of trying from the first. This time around ttc got pregnant first month but miscarried at 10 weeks. Got pregnant again two cycles after that. I'm 34 weeks currently.

Soupcon · 15/10/2020 23:17

First month, aged 39. We expected it to take months, if not years. We were totally taken aback.

groutingqueen · 15/10/2020 23:18

@OhTheRoses

OP I can put my hand on my heart and say I have never had unprotected sex without getting pregnant. I also need both hands to count the miscarriages; three pgs reached the 3rd trimester; two the 2nd. I lost count of the 1st trimester ones.
So sorry for your losses ❤️

First month with the first child age 32. Took a year with second, but only 'cause my cycle was so long - ovulating on day 28. Once I used the ovulation sticks I was pregnant first month, age 35.

Flamingolingo · 15/10/2020 23:22

Yes - twice here. First baby was a honeymoon baby, second was a maybe we should think about it Wednesday night one shot wonder. I often wonder whether it’s just that some bodies are a little easier to read than others. My body makes ovulation very obvious - happens right in the middle of the cycle, and gives plenty of warning/signs. I know that other people sometimes ovulate early or late, or even twice in the same month. And then of course there is implantation etc. I know that we are very lucky to have not had to wait for our babies. I know that the heartache some people go through is all consuming.

KnitFastDieWarm · 15/10/2020 23:22

yep, started on 1st jan and was pregnant by 10th feb. It’s pure, dumb luck. Have friends currently struggling with infertility and it is just one of those shitty shitty things that’s monumentally unfair and random.

SingleHandSue · 15/10/2020 23:23

Yep.

DS1 was an accident. One and only time without protection, couldn’t get the morning after pill but thought we’d be alright because no one gets pregnant that easy right?

DS2 was planned, coil removed and pregnant after 2 months.

We were in our twenties and a lot fitter and healthier then but don’t think that had much to do with it.

Boredinthehouse12 · 15/10/2020 23:24

We got pregnant the first month of trying. I didn’t use OPKs but used an app. Unfortunately it ended in a MMC but it’s definitely possible on the first month

ReggaetonLente · 15/10/2020 23:25

Yes, first month both times. I was 26 and 29.

ButterflyRabbit · 15/10/2020 23:25

Yes - dc1, got pregnant first month trying.
Dc2 - tried for ages, never happened naturally, had several rounds of ivf.

Fertility is a funny old thing.

Enrosadira · 15/10/2020 23:26

Me, three times

BumbleFlump · 15/10/2020 23:27

DC 1 took about 3 months
DC 2 and 3 were both within a month - quite scary really. I have a coil now but do still worry.

CayrolBaaaskin · 15/10/2020 23:28

Yes I did and was in late 30s /early 40s

starfishmummy · 15/10/2020 23:30

Yes. First time took longer but ai had a MMC. When we decided to try again it took 2 months - I was 42.

RationalOne · 15/10/2020 23:36

I became pregnant immediately with my first. Had a couple of miscarriages then decided to try again and pregnant following month. It happens
