Anyone gotten pregnant 1st month trying? Or in under 3

Asking for some reassurance lately, on my TWW and me and I feel like I see a lot of people saying they struggled while TTC or took a while

When I aired these concerns to a friend she mentioned that some people speak out about it to support others going through that etc, you very rarely hear of the stories where someone got pregnant quickly (which she then told me she got pregnancy first try which I didn’t know)

So my question is who here has gotten pregnant either first try/month or in under 3 months? Which I’d say is relatively quick

We conceived the first month after stopping the pill, unfortunately miscarried almost immediately after testing & then conceived baby number 1 the very next month

Number 2 was a very happy surprise. we knew we wanted another but were planning to wait a few more months to try again. A weekend of 'this might be a bit of a risk' & 2 weeks later my period amounted to a bit of spotting so I took a test & there were the 2 lines!

We appreciate how very very lucky we've been as close family & friends have struggled for well over a year or had to turn to ivf to get pregnant.

Good luck!

I've had five planned pregnancies. All five happened first month

Fennelandlovage · 16/10/2020 16:04

Yup - first time! Wasn’t meant to be that way.

Maybe three months second time. Good luck.

Unicorners · 16/10/2020 16:11

Took me three years to get pregnant the first time, second time it was the first month. No idea how it can be so different!

Londonmummy66 · 16/10/2020 16:13

Me - miscarriages in my 20s so a bit apprehensive at 35 but first month for DC1 and first and only attempt with DD (DH was working away).

Londonmummy66 · 16/10/2020 16:13

Meant to add - DH strutting round like a peacock for DD....

MajesticWhine · 16/10/2020 16:25

2nd month (age 28)
8th or 9th month (age 38)

CoffeeInAnIV · 16/10/2020 16:31

I did on all three.

DC1 was an accidental pregnancy.
DC2 was a month after coming off the pill.
DC3 was two months after taking the implant out.

Me currently 33 weeks. We were going to try after our honeymoon was meant in May but it got cancelled in Feb. Didn't think we would go into lockdown Stopped the pill end jan and started trying middle of March. Found out i pregnant end of March and now due early December. We were in no rush, just thought we would see what happened and i followed an ovulation tracker on my fitbit and Flo app.

@ChickenDipper99 thank you for starting this thread! I’m in my first cycle ttc first baby and it’s also first cycle off the pill so I know it could take a while but it’s so nice to read all these positive stories! Xx

CharityRoyall · 17/10/2020 21:26

Not me (never been pregnant) but three of my friends are currently pregnant. 2 managed it in the first month of trying, the other in her second month.

RoseGoldEagle · 18/10/2020 12:42

Pregnant on second month of trying which sadly ended in miscarriage. Got pregnant again after another 2 months and had DD. Assumed would happen quickly when we tried for a second- took nearer a year that time (I was 37). Decided we’d try for a third at 38 but in the back of mind thought it would be unlikely as assumed it would take even longer again, if it would happen at all- and got pregnant first month trying! I agree people don’t talk much in real life about it if it happened quickly, but have a friend the same age who had both first and second children in mid/late thirties and got pregnant first time trying each time.

niki26 · 18/10/2020 15:42

We weren't trying but after using the pull out method for 10 years I got pregnant the one time DH didn't pull out.

Second child - used OPKs for two cycles but no joy. Decided not to track or try in December due to my sisters wedding at the end of August and only DTD once that month - as it was our first wedding anniversary! - and got pregnant. Holding my sleeping 5 week old as I type!

Phie04 · 18/10/2020 16:28

Im currently 18 weeks pregnant after 1 month of trying. Stay optimistic Thanks

aureliacecilia · 18/10/2020 16:30

Yes.

DC1 - second month.
DC2 (currently pregnant) - first month.

It's obviously a joy and I feel very fortunate but it does mean I spent the first 20 or so weeks of pregnancy in total shock and disbelief.

soberfabulous · 18/10/2020 16:31

Me.

Had coil removed and was pregnant two weeks later. Was 36.

Horehound · 18/10/2020 16:32

Before we tried I monitored my periods and ovulation for a year. Got pregnant first time.

DMT1982 · 18/10/2020 17:38

I got pregnant first time trying at 35 and had a little boy.
Second time round got pregnant first time again at 37 but ended in early chemical pregnancy.
Try to relax as much as you can, have an idea when you may ovulate and have sex every couple of days in the two weeks either side of that window xx

Idreamof2more · 20/10/2020 11:57

1st took 6 months but was young and didn’t know You could only fall set days until I tracked then fell.
Second first month of trying
Many loses either first or second month of trying x
