Thanks for adding me. Fingers crossed this thread brings lots of bfps!!!
2 dpo here and symptom spotting already 🤦🏻‍♀️

Mia1985x · 24/07/2020 10:38

Thanks for the add @CAG14 👍🏻

@LT103 yes I'm with you on the positivity that this thread is going to bring lots of BFPs. 2 days in to the dreaded long TWW, get eating that pineapple 🤣 Did you follow SMEP this month?

stepmumSW5 · 24/07/2020 11:13

@CAG14 thanks for the add! I'm on the BFN wagon

beckyBP · 24/07/2020 11:18

Thanks for tagging @CAG14

Looking forward to seeing all the BFPs to come xx

butterfly5291 · 24/07/2020 12:11

@CAG14 Thanks for setting up new thread. Hope you have a great weekend with your family.

Still no positive OPK but I've got 10 more days before I've been tracking for a full month.

Stabal · 24/07/2020 12:26

@CAG14 yay fresh thread! Have a lovely weekend with your fam!

@Mia1985x best of luck with your appointment. It can be a slow process to get everything rolling but once it does it's fairly regular appointments! 🤞

LT103 · 24/07/2020 12:28

@Mia1985x what does pineapple do??
We didn’t do smep but I ovulated cd14 and we dtd cd 9, 10, 11, 12 and 14 so think we covered all bases 😂

Jadeb1995 · 24/07/2020 12:41

Morning everyone! Glad there's a new thread now.

@LT103 sounds like you covered all bases!

I'm CD 12 today, as you know it's my first time doing OPK's, looking at the chart do you think my peak was CD10 or do you think I haven't had it yet?

TTC Baby no1. The crazy lot. Thread 2!!
LT103 · 24/07/2020 12:53

@Jadeb1995 if it’s your first time maybe keep checking few more days to be on safe side but that result on day 10 looks positive. I think everyone’s cycle is different and all sticks are slightly different. I use Femometer and seem to get a whole day of high, then a day of peak then it drops back down quickly. From what I’ve seen everyone is different

Crayon7 · 24/07/2020 12:54

Joining new thread! Let's hope TUI is our lucky one 🤞🏻

Crayon7 · 24/07/2020 12:54

*its

Mia1985x · 24/07/2020 13:21

Thanks @Stabal as much as I'm feeling nervous about appointment I'm also excited to be doing something about it in a weird way.

@LT103 definitely sounds like you covered all bases! 🤞🏻 There is some evidence that pineapple (especially the core) helps with implantation and some articles recommend eating it during the TWW. @Pippy20 got her BFP last month and advised that the only thing she changed was doing SMEP and eating lots of pineapple in TWW. I am praying that combo works for me this month too but so annoyed we missed CD8 of DTD. I feel like the earlier one is maybe less important and couldn't be helped as OH was away 😔 DTD this morning CD10 and will follow SMEP from now.

@Jadeb1995 I'd say that high reading on your CD10 looks positive. How exciting. But like @LT103 says maybe a good idea to keep going a few days as it's your first month. Maybe even do 1 a day even to see what your usual levels drop to.

Jadeb1995 · 24/07/2020 13:34

Thanks ladies, we DTD CD 8 & CD 10, wish we had yesterday as well now!!

LT103 · 24/07/2020 13:44

@Jadeb1995 the best days are the 2 days before ovulation apparently so the sperm are there waiting on the egg so I think you’re fine!!
@Mia1985x thanks. I’m off to get some pineapple juice on the way home from work today 🤣🤣

stepmumSW5 · 24/07/2020 14:07

@Mia1985x wish I knew about this 2 weeks ago 🍍

Stabal · 24/07/2020 14:21

@LT103 it's the core of a fresh pineapple you need to eat. It acts like aspirin essentially!

beckyBP · 24/07/2020 14:37

Hey ladies,

So AF is due today and not arrived yet. I've had cramps which have felt like normal PMS cramps tbh.

Last night I was really nauseous and threw up. Today I've just been a bit meh and tired but I just had some yellowy CM.. is this a sign?! Xx

Mia1985x · 24/07/2020 14:42

My GP just randomly called me and had a phone appointment as they are trying to reduce the face to face appointments in for next week. Doing a referral to gynaecology clinic and I've also to get bloods done (to check I'm ovulating). So I have made an appointment for a couple of weeks time for bloods (had to be 7 days before AF) so pretty happy they fitted me in this cycle and I hope my app has my predicted next AF correctly. @Stabal is this similar to how your first appointment went? Has anyone else been to GP or had fertility checks done?

OrientalPinkLily · 24/07/2020 14:45

Hi ladies! Can I join you? It’s your second thread but I just started reading online about ttc and other people’s experiences.
My DH and I are actively ttc for 6 months now with no success.. it’s a very lonely time, I feel I can’t talk to anyone about it and I suffer in silence every time AF arrives. I know 6 months is not a very long time, but I do worry a lot that something might be wrong. Mainly because we stopped any contraception since August 2018 (almost 2 years ago), ok we were not actively trying until 6 months ago but feels like 23 months is a looooong time and I should have been pregnant by now...
This cycle I used opks and got a LH peak on cd16. We DTD during fertile days and now I am 10dpo. I tested this morning and got a BFN. I use Femometer, advice is to test at 14dpo next which is Tuesday.
I just hope we’ll all get our BFPs soon!

Stabal · 24/07/2020 15:03

@Mia1985x yeah that's the first port of call. That will check your progesterone levels. They should also do some bloods on day 3 of your cycle. Then refer you to gynae and tell you to get your OH to get referred for semen analysis as that's the first thing gynae will ask before they do anymore investigation! My experience at my first gynae appointment was them chatting about my cycles then doing a number of swabs

Nellyk84 · 24/07/2020 15:46

Afternoon all!! @CAG14 thanks for the invite to Thread 2 :)

This is my first cycle using the Femometer OPKs and the app. App said I was due to ovulate around the 18th but don't think anything happened until the 21st looking at these. Thought it weird it went 45%, 13% then back up to 52%.....I did forget to take one after that for to check for a peak though.....silly Nelly lol

TTC Baby no1. The crazy lot. Thread 2!!
Mia1985x · 24/07/2020 15:57

Thanks @Stabal yeah the GP done the gynae referral at same time as she said it definitely sounds like I'm ovulating (told her about temping and OPKs for over a year now) so she thinks the bloods will just confirm that and done the referral now as not to hold it up further (long delays at moment she said due to COVID). Also done referral for OH and said he should get appointment through for semen analysis. Quite scary but exciting at the same time. I assume all of your and OH test came back ok? I asked GP what usually happens next if everything appears to be fine and she said they usually look at IUI if its suitable. Have you discussed anything like that at your referrals?

Stabal · 24/07/2020 16:05

@Mia1985x ahh that's good! Yes everything we had done was normal so far. I was waiting for an HSG when I fell pregnant lol. I was advised to still get the HSG now in case one tube is blocked but I didn't want to go through that on my first cycle after the miscarriage as I was still getting over the trauma and now this cycle I don't know what's random bleeding or my actual period 🤷🏻‍♀️ back to spotting today rather than a flow. All very confusing! IUI was never discussed with us, just IVF but was told it would be around a 3 year wait. Wonderful lol

Mia1985x · 24/07/2020 17:17

@Stabal ah yeah that's right I remember you saying about your HSG now. Have you just to contact them when your feel ready again to have the HSG? That's good you are at that point. 3 year wait for IVF wow! Hopefully it doesn't come to that for any of us. I know it wont make it any easier whatsoever but with the miscarriage did you get any sense of relief that you can fall pregnant? I dont mean that sound insensitive so hope I have worded it ok.

@Nellyk84 from those OPKs I would say it looked like your peak was on CD15-16 The lower one at 13% doesnt actually look a lot lighter to me but the strip does look a bit more yellowish than white. Something like the lighting might just have given an odd reading in amongst there if that makes sense. The intelligent recognition is so handy but from my experience I do sometimes think it can mis-read or have some limitations. I have found myself getting 10% on a strip and knowing it looks so much darker so change the lighting or location of strip for taking photo and re-take showed way up in the 70%+ range

Stabal · 24/07/2020 17:37

@Mia1985x the swab and blood results only last 3 months so I'll need to have them repeated to check everything is still normal then on the first day of my next period I just ring radiology and they'll get me up. I've heard it's horrible though so not looking forward to it. But also a lot of people have had increased fertility after it, something about the dye flushing the tubes so that's interesting! Yes it was for sure a relief. We really thought it was never going to happen. All the tests I done were all dye stealers (test line darker than control) and I still couldn't believe it until I seen the heartbeat at our first scan. It has given us a lot of hope but also brought around a lot of feelings of desperation and fear. It's only been 2 cycles since and it's getting to me already like if it worked then why can't it work now, will it ever work again? It's getting me down but I try to stay positive about the future. My OH is very positive about it so that helps when I feel rubbish.
