Hey guys

Is anyone else in the TWW and want to join me in desperately trying not to test 😂

Currently 4DPO in cycle 9 of TTC, and frantically googling when is the absolute earliest I can test, driving myself insane!

How's everyone else finding the TWW at the min? Lockdown is making it harder cause I'm home all day with all my tests 🤦‍♀️

Baby dust to all x

Hi everyone I’m currently 6dpo got bad cramping and feel drained and so nauseous today and sore nipples. Has anyone had anything similar? I’m trying not to symptom spot but so hard when I’m feeling like this 😫

2020mission · 23/08/2020 16:05

@Freckle1 I recommend holding off until 12 DPO before testing to avoid seeing an incorrect BFN. Implantation happens 9-12 DPO and your body needs a couple of days for hCG to build up after implantation for the positive test.

2020mission · 23/08/2020 16:14

@Molly3456 welcome 👋🏻 I'd try to ignore any symptoms you feel until at least 10 DPO as implantation is unlikely to happen before then and that means any symptoms you are feeling are not related to a pregnancy. You will drive yourself mad otherwise haha we've all been there.

Molly3456 · 23/08/2020 16:34

@2020mission thankyou yes I thought the same though feel terrible today so it’s so hard to ignore them. 😫 just have to wait and see Xx

Bims2019 · 23/08/2020 18:55

@2020mission thank you, yes I think I'll leave it a couple of days then test again! It's just strange that it's showing up on one brand only, so don't want to get my hopes up yet. Must be frustrating that you've not had your peak yet, it could be late ovulation after last month. I would keep on with the opks! What cycle day are you on? Really hope you get a clearer idea soon.

Hi @Freckle1 Smile I'm no expert but agree it's best to hold on to test if you can. I believe some people do get early results at only 7 or 8dpo, but you're more likely to get an accurate result if you leave for a few more days. Good luck! The second line does seem to be pink, so I don't think it's an evap line. I just think frers are more sensitive so would expect that to have a line if it's a BFP... Such a minefield!

Welcome @Molly3456, I know it is so hard not to symptom spot. Especially when AF symptoms can be so similar! Like @2020mission says, we've all been there. Fingers crossed for you this month though!

2020mission · 24/08/2020 22:31

@Bims2019 I've jumped up to 40% on my most recent OPK so hopefully ovulating tomorrow or the next day... honestly feeling so drained and really don't want a BFP if it's going to lead to another chemical! I'm hoping you have some good news to share soon really feel we need some here 🤞 testing tomorrow?

Lovebug06 · 25/08/2020 06:55

Hi ladies, can I join. I'm currently cycle 7 ttc number 1. 8dpo got a bit of cramping down there and sore boobs, I'm sure I'll be out. It's not even that long that I've been trying but feel like it's never gonna happen! Last month I ovulated very early, then AF was late which has never happened, my friend whose also ttc and DH thought I was pregnant and I wasn't, i let myself get really excited so I was really down after. Baby dust to you all. X

2020mission · 25/08/2020 19:52

Hey @Lovebug06 you are welcome to join. I hope you have some luck this month, it's hard not to believe it's happened every month so I feel your pain there.

I bought some new OPKs and have got my first ever peak reading! Every month before I was getting 78% highest. This easy@home one was a line stealer today so I've finally reached ovulation again 😅 I'd definitely recommend these strips over the pink narrower ones by the way, if anyone is looking to get some in!

TWW - anyone want to join?
2020mission · 25/08/2020 22:00

@Bims2019 did you use another test? I'm hoping your silence is because you are busy celebrating 🤞 but if not, we're all here to keep each other company and we'll get there.

Bims2019 · 26/08/2020 15:18

@2020mission I wish I had been celebrating! Unfortunately AF arrived yesterday with a vengeance. Think I am just having longer cycles recently, no idea why but it's very annoying! Thank you for checking in, I'm sorry you're feeling so drained as well. You must be torn with wanting a BFP but not another chemical, I really hope this will be your month though. We will all get there in the end :) I'm tempted to get some opks for this month so I can track a bit better, the relaxed approach doesn't seem to be doing much!

Welcome @Lovebug06, hope this is your month too :) I think we all understand that feeling here of being down, especially when AF has been just late enough to get your hopes up. Hang on in there!

2020mission · 28/08/2020 14:33

@Bims2019 aww sorry to hear that but you will be back fertile again soon. I know what you mean about OPKs... it's a fine line between just using them to catch ovulation and to know when to DTD, but then it becoming obsessive and having to pee on the sticks all the time! I felt I had to this month since I knew it would be screwed up after the chemical this month.

We did the deed 6 days in a row and then I got the peak OPK on day 6, but we had absolutely ran out of steam and haven't done it since 😂 so I probably missed the optimal time unfortunately.

Itisme90 · 28/08/2020 21:44

Hi ladies sorry I have been quiet I had another chemical this month that’s 2 in 3 months it’s just all so draining I feel like it’s just never going to stick sorry for the negativity it’s just hard to be positive at the moment

2020mission · 28/08/2020 21:51

@Itisme90 sorry to hear that! I've had 2 chemicals as well, most recent was just a couple of weeks ago. Are you planning to continue trying as you were for now? I'm not sure whether we need to have 3 for it to be something we can get tests done for help through our GP. Hopefully we've just had some bad luck and our next BFPs will stick 🤞

Itisme90 · 28/08/2020 22:08

@2020mission I will probably just carry on yeah I thought it was 3 too before anything happens I don’t know if you should contact my gp or just leave it for now and see what happens what have you done have you let your gp know what’s been going on?

2020mission · 28/08/2020 23:17

@Itisme90 no, not yet. I felt that calling them after I'd already started bleeding when there's nothing they could do wasn't going to get me anywhere. I'm tempted to book an appointment as soon as I get my next BFP (if it happens!) so I can go in and ask them if they can do anything to prevent it happening again, and just to get on file that I'm on my 3rd incase it ends in chemical again. I've heard about aspirin possibly helping so I could ask them if I'd be ok to start taking it ASAP. Don't want to just go for it on my own incase it's a bad idea!

When's you AF due for you next? I've only just started the 2WW

Itisme90 · 29/08/2020 09:04

Yeah I am the same there is no point after you start bleeding there is nothing they can do. I am still bleeding the now my chemical just not long happened so hopefully it will stop soon and we can try again. That’s a good idea if I get a BFP again I think I will phone too there may be something they can give us it’s just frustrating. I have got my fingers crossed for you this month if you don’t mind me asking where are you from?

2020mission · 29/08/2020 09:49

@Itisme90 I'm in Glasgow, Scotland. Where are you from? Hopefully it's third time lucky on our next BFPs 🤞

Itisme90 · 29/08/2020 10:08

I am from just outside Glasgow so not far. Yeah I hope so too keep us updated how you get on I really hope this is your month

Jurassiclover · 13/09/2020 15:24

Hey guys, sorry I've been so quiet, I took a huge break from the conception boards, still no luck for me. How's everyone getting on?

Itisme90 · 13/09/2020 16:06

@Jurassiclover I feel you I have just been taking it easy this month after another chemical last month it’s exhausting TTC I have just started my 2WW so just going to see what happens didn’t really DTD a lot this month

2020mission · 13/09/2020 16:44

Hey ladies 👋🏻 no good news to share here. I'm currently just finishing AF...
my first cycle after the August chemical was BFN 😔 I'm very close to self medicating with aspirin now as I'm just feeling like I need to do something to try and help

Jurassiclover · 13/09/2020 17:07

@Itisme90 so sorry to hear of the chemical, ttc really is so exhausting isn't it 😔

@2020mission its hard isn't it, you feel like you should be doing something but have no idea where to even start!

My last cycle was 76 days, this cycle is 44 so far. Had a blood test which showed slightly raised testosterone but ultrasound didn't show anything except immature folicles so I've been referred to the gynaecology department so hopefully they will do some further tests

Bims2019 · 13/09/2020 17:28

Hi all :) sorry I've been quiet too, it's been a bit of a rough few weeks but feeling quite positive today after a relaxed weekend. I'm back in the TWW now, AF is due around the 23rd so will see what happens. I think we covered ovulation so 🤞 trying not to read into every little symptom like I usually do 🙄

Hope everyone is doing okay. I can't believe we're in September already, this year feels like it's disappearing! @Itisme90 so sorry to read about the chemical. Sounds like we might have similar timings for AF, when is she due for you?

@2020mission I totally get the feeling of wanting to do something. What would the aspirin help with, if you don't mind me asking? I'm not very clued up on these things! Sorry if you've already said.

@Jurassiclover good to hear from you, hope any tests are helpful and you get some answers 🤞

Itisme90 · 13/09/2020 20:04

@Bims2019 AF is due the 26th haven’t tried much this month I think we covered ovulation too but haven’t been as regimented this month.
@2020mission I was thinking of trying the aspirin too have you spoke to your gp yet about your chemicals

2020mission · 13/09/2020 20:09

@Bims2019 aspirin is meant to thin blood so can help with implantation in those who have had recurrent early losses. It's a tough one as it's obviously a drug and feels wrong to take without medical advice, but a lot of research has shown it can help and low dose aspirin (75mg) is generally safe unless you have a blood disorder, it's easily available to buy in supermarkets. I'm not sure whether to start the low dose now before ovulation, or to wait until I get another BFP and hope it's third time lucky. I will be kicking myself if I go through another chemical and I didn't try aspirin though!
