TWW - anyone want to join?

Hey guys

Is anyone else in the TWW and want to join me in desperately trying not to test 😂

Currently 4DPO in cycle 9 of TTC, and frantically googling when is the absolute earliest I can test, driving myself insane!

How's everyone else finding the TWW at the min? Lockdown is making it harder cause I'm home all day with all my tests 🤦‍♀️

Hi, AF has gone and now starting to think about this month. I have ordered some pre-seed which should come tomorrow. I ovulated on cycle day 9 last month so going to start using my OPK on Saturday. Just wondering has anyone used pre seed as just a lubricant instead of inserting it and still fallen pregnant while using? Last month we had used regular Lube as thought was too early to ovulate so this month normal lube is out the window!

Sadly for me AF arrived on Thursday. Can't believe this time last year I was thinking I'd have a newborn by Christmas 2020 😂 so naive. Maybe one day

@Carsbars I've used pree seed but it didn't help with a bfp for me but I do know lots of people who it has worked for! I only used it inserting it though. Worth a try for you!

@2020mission I'm going to buy some digis today and hopefully I'll get my 3+ will keep you all updated!

Sorry to hear your AF has arrived. I was the same, thought I'd have a baby already by now. I think it's because sex ed makes it seem if you even look at a man without protection you'll get PG but that's juts not the reality haha!

Ok so am I just clutching at straws here or not?

I took a pregnancy test last night and I thought I saw a faint line but then thought no my eyes are just playing tricks on me. So I left it looked later on and there was a very very faint line. Gave myself a reality check and told myself was an evap line.

Anyway did a test this morning (bottom test) and to me it looks slightly darker and not so much like an evap line.

Any thoughts?

@Carsbars sorry took a break from here over Christmas! Yes I see a faint line. What has happened since? Assuming this would relate to the last cycle?
I've now used pre-seed twice, insert only.

@Carsbars I think I can see a line but not sure how those tests are for evaps, I've never used anything other than ICs and FRERs. Hope any further tests were clearer and positive for you 🤞

@kaffy197 @2020mission Thank you for the replies, they turned out to be evap lines. Will be sticking with FRERs from now on .

I'm trying to take a more relaxed approach now, not even really sure what exact day I am DPO as ran out of OPKs before I got my peak and didn't buy anymore. I'm not symptom spotting and just going to wait each month and see if AF comes. Feel like I was creating problems in my head before there even was one.

Just need to keep telling myself it's only just 3 months since I have been off the pill which I was on for 6 months and the coil for 6 years before that!

How are you all getting on?

@Carsbars same, I try not to symptom spot anyway but about to start my tww and not going to obsess over it, just going to wait to see if my period comes! The only thing I'll do is temperature track as I use the natural cycles app.
I started taking the vitamins recommended on here (another chat) this month, as I have quite a short luteal phase so will be interested to see if that makes a difference to my cycle.

So I think i just got my BFP 🥲 line showed up after less than 3 mins!!

@2020mission all good here just constant sleeping and nausea hahaha!

Had 1st scan and my period puts me way ahead but was only 8 weeks at scan so going back for another in Feb to do the measurements etc but we saw a heartbeat and all seemed well!

Forgot to mention my cycles are all over the place so me only being 8 weeks was of no concern or anything as I know some cycles I ovulate stupidly late if at all, so all good here!

@Jurassiclover good to hear from you I was worried when you went quiet incase anything had happened. Glad you got to hear a heartbeat 😃

Sadly I'm in for the long haul - another BFN today and running out of things to try. Month 13 now 👎🏻

Ah sorry to hear of your BFN. Have you seen GP at all? I saw GP just before 12 month mark and he referred me to fertility team. They said they wouldn't see me til 18 month mark annoyingly but it meant my name was in the system ready to be re-referred if needed. As it turns out month 17 was when we got our BFP so we didn't need it but it was reassuring knowing if it hadn't happened by month 18 all I needed to do was call GP and he'd send another referral

@Jurassiclover I know I really should call the GP but I feel like I can't with the pandemic in such a bad place again 😔 I will see how the next month or so goes 🤞 but definitely can't wait around forever!

Hey @acaciabluebell I'm doing ok, how are you? I'm around the end of the fertile window of cycle 13 so not far behind you with the 2WW. I've started BBT tracking this month for the first time to try to check that I'm ovulating and if so roughly when. On pregnacare pills too this cycle. Will try anything new that might help 🤣

@2020mission Ooh how has BBT tracking been? I don't know if that could ever work for me as I toss and turn and get up to pee every night haha. I think I'm 2/3dpo atm. Hopefully getting my day 3 and day 21 blood tests in the next 2 weeks, and my husband has an appt with GP to discuss sperm analysis too. I don't actually take a specific prenatal, but i've been taking a lot of vitamins this month (just on a general health kick atm 😂 new year and all that!)

@acaciabluebell BBT tracking is actually a lot less hassle than I thought as it's just a case of grabbing it when you wake with an alarm and it takes 30 seconds max. Less faff that OPKs having to pee and dip 😆 I'm doing both though this month just to see if they both show ovulation at the same time. My cycles vary from 25-30 days on average so I don't seem to have a consistent ovulation pattern. I'm guessing maybe some months I've been missing it. Hopefully this will make it clearer!

Good to hear you've got the ball rolling with testing at the GP. I'll need to book those soon was just hoping to avoid it and get pregnant before it was needed!
