TWW - anyone want to join?

Hey guys

Is anyone else in the TWW and want to join me in desperately trying not to test 😂

Currently 4DPO in cycle 9 of TTC, and frantically googling when is the absolute earliest I can test, driving myself insane!

How's everyone else finding the TWW at the min? Lockdown is making it harder cause I'm home all day with all my tests 🤦‍♀️

Baby dust to all x

I told myself I wouldn't test today but got home from work and did anyway!

I am not sure if these are just bad indents! Two of the same brand tests but I one from Amazon and one from eBay.

Guess I'll know tomorrow ! I'm 10dpo xx

littleeggcup · 10/12/2020 20:08

Just gone back to have a look and both are white!!! Head screw... guessing bad indents.

pringlebells · 10/12/2020 20:11

Sorry @littleeggcup nothing worse than indents :(

pringlebells · 10/12/2020 20:14

I'm not 100% sure how many dpo I am, I've stopped tracking due to becoming slightly obsessive.

AF is due in about 4-5 days, I think I'm about 10-11 dpo, had a MC in July and we've been trying ever since. The odds are stacked against us as we've needed fertility treatment in the past.

Do you see anything? I'm starting to get line eyes heavily. I'm having every symptom!!

@2020mission ahh I think that's a good plan yeah, this cycle i tested once af was 'late' according to my app but I wasn't really tracking properly and have long cycles so who knows if it was really late hahaha but it was much better as I didn't waste tests! (Until the bfp and then I went poas mad hahaha)

@marcella64 everyone told me if I stopped trying it would happen and I used to get so annoyed, and now I'm eating my words 😳 hahaha. There's a few other things that may have contributed this month too though I think. DP switched from sertraline to mirtazipine, I started taking my levothyroxine more regularly because I set an alarm to make sure I remembered hahaha. And interestingly I cut out soya milk and went back to dairy... strange

@littleeggcup sorry to hear you had some indents, keep us updated! Keeping everything crossed for you!!

@pringlebells I dont think I can see anything just yet but it's still early so retest in a day or 2! I've also heard that some people struggle to get lines on ICs so maybe get FRER if you can?

2020mission · 11/12/2020 11:28

@Jurassiclover sorry to be nosey but is thyroxine something you've always been on or something introduced since TTC to help? Just wondered as I heard an underactive thyroid can cause fertility issues like the chemicals and spotting I've been having.

2020mission · 11/12/2020 11:31

@Jurassiclover also that's interesting about soya... I don't like cows milk so always have oat or soya in my coffees, cereal etc. I do still have cheese, butter etc with cows milk - just not a fan of drinking the milk. I have been having more oat than soya lately though so if soy is an issue hopefully I'm on it 🤞

Jurassiclover · 11/12/2020 12:49

@2020mission its okay! I've been on levothyroxine for years now, since I was in college, got diagnosed with an underactive thyroid so something I've always taken! I thought it was interesting about the soya too! Not something I consciously did to be honest, I just got a tassimo in the black friday sales and most of the latte pods use cows milk, I didnt even realise that its something I'd stopped doing till me and DP were talking about how this cycle was different trying to work out what gave us our success hahah

Jurassiclover · 11/12/2020 12:50

@2020mission have you had your thyroid levels checked? Could be worth it! Good that you're not using soya milk too just incase! I wonder if there's any research on soya actually

@Carsbars I know what you mean! Last month I was good and waited until AF but this month got a bit obsessed with tracking my temperature and testing!
My AF came today at 11dpo, so I will be having some Christmas tipples and will plan to try again around Christmas.
Also going to start on Vit B and C to see if that gives me a few extra days of luteal phase (even though it will make the tww more difficult!)

2020mission · 11/12/2020 20:05

@Jurassiclover no not had them checked but will definitely push for these types of checks if I end up at the GP in January to get some help!

@kaffy197 sorry about AF arriving. Definitely focus on enjoying those Christmas drinks 🥂 🎄

Carsbars · 13/12/2020 18:33

@kaffy197 AF came today for me at 12DPO so some Christmas drinks for me too!

Going to use conceive plus every time this month as I know normal stuff can actually kill the little swimmers haha!

Easy to day but also going to try and not symptom spot and think to much about where I am in the month just wait and see what happens.

kaffy197 · 13/12/2020 19:27

@Carsbars Yes let's enjoy Christmas and try to chill out about it Xmas Grin

Yes I was thinking of getting some pressed to try this time!

2020mission · 13/12/2020 19:44

I think I've got AF coming too as Ive been getting my usual spotting in the days before 😢 so yeah let's all just enjoy Christmas!

Jurassiclover · 14/12/2020 13:07

@kaffy197 sorry to hear AF arrived but yes good plan about enjoying Xmas tipples!

@Carsbars sorry to hear of your AF too

@2020mission ah that sucks, but as you say! Time to enjoy Xmas now!

Sending baby dust to you all for next cycle!!

I'm 13/14 dpo!

2020mission · 14/12/2020 15:37

Thanks @Jurassiclover I hope you get your 3+ later this week 😃

Jurassiclover · 14/12/2020 15:45

@2020mission I tested again today with my last digi and got 2-3 again but I'm not too worried because I know there's quite a jump from the hormone threshold to get 2-3 and to get 3+ so I'm just gonna wait til weekend and retest then I think haha

Carsbars · 15/12/2020 11:32

Hey. So AF came on Sunday and has stopped again already. That's 2 months in a row that it's only lasted 2 days. I came off the pill in September and had a 'normal period' at the end of October but November and December both lasted 2 days. Has anyone had this before? Don't know what could cause this and hope it doesn't interfere with TTC.

Jurassiclover · 15/12/2020 13:29

@Carsbars I dont have experience with short AF as mine has always been 7ish days on or off the pill but I do know that it can take up to a year for your cycle to return to normal after the pill so it could be that maybe? May be worth speaking to GP and see if they have any advice

OP posts:
Carsbars · 15/12/2020 18:29

@Jurassiclover I have heard that but I was only on the pill for 5 months after getting my coil taken out. Will give it another couple of months and speak to GP if still the same. I was always 5-7 days so 2 days just feels weird! Thanks for the reply Smile

Jurassiclover · 16/12/2020 15:48

@Carsbars yeah thats a good plan! Hahah I can imagine 2 days must feel so strange! No problem, sending lots of baby dust your way!
