TWW - anyone want to join?

Hey guys

Is anyone else in the TWW and want to join me in desperately trying not to test 😂

Currently 4DPO in cycle 9 of TTC, and frantically googling when is the absolute earliest I can test, driving myself insane!

How's everyone else finding the TWW at the min? Lockdown is making it harder cause I'm home all day with all my tests 🤦‍♀️

Baby dust to all x

My plan is that if I have the slightest hint of anything at 7DPO then I won't have a drink and I can mention to my GP as I have medication that needs altered as soon as you get a positive so can get that ball rolling. If it's negative I'll still probably limit myself to 1/2 ciders just incase hahah

@Jurassiclover I'm at 7 DPO today too. I had some wine last night but got total drinking guilt and poured my second glass back in the bottle 😂 so only ended up having one. I know it can't impact the baby if I was pregnant until a positive test as it wouldn't be sharing anything from my blood so early but I'm worried too much drink will prevent implantation.

Jurassiclover · 05/07/2020 16:58

I did the same with a cider yesterday hahah! Felt guilty incase it impacts implantation. From what I've read there's no concrete evidence to suggest it does have an impact on implantation so we should be fine hahaha @2020mission

Best of luck to everyone testing tomorrow!

I've had a couple of alcohol free beers this weekend (Brewdog ones - would recommend) and a low alcohol G&T in a tin from Tesco (would not recommend - should have just had a Fever Tree with some ice and a slice of lime).

CD18 today and wondering if I should order some pregnancy tests off Amazon too. I had some really basic OneStep ones last time I was TTC and found them as good as FRERs. I've never used one of those digi ones that say pregnant/not pregnant but reckon I'll order one if I get a positive test just to get a photo! Blush

helia · 05/07/2020 17:10

Just had a quick Google of tests - some say that 79% of pregnant results can be detected 6 days before your missed period... Now I'm wondering whether to order to test on Friday!

2020mission · 05/07/2020 17:16

@helia are you Scottish? Just wondered since you mentioned brewdog 😆 I'm in Scotland and it's our go to beer. Love a wee dead pony club.

JLM1008 · 05/07/2020 17:32

Hi I’m almost at the end of the 2WW but thought I’d join you!
Cycle 1 of ttc baby #3 - main symptoms are enlarged boobs (gone up a full cup size!) and funny bumps on my nipples. I remember these from when I was pregnant with my son 8 years ago. Tested this morning and it was bfn. Af due next Wednesday! Eek x

Sdoo4 · 05/07/2020 17:53

I’m 5dpo today just had a lot of white creamy discharge in my underwear when I went to pee. Can’t help symptom spotting!!!

Jurassiclover · 05/07/2020 20:15

@helia oooh sounds nice! May get myself some actually! Shame about the g&t though. I have the one step ones at the min! I always just think it's cheaper to buy a few in bulk and then if ever I see anything slight I'll get FRER. I've used Digi once again for the pic hahaha no judgement here. Ooooh keep us updated if you do test on Friday!

@JLM1008 hi! I've not had many symptoms yet but only 5DPO. So far I've had headaches cramping and some nausea. Also had the odd itchy nipple and had some wild dreams but trying not to think about it too much cause I'm aware it might be too early for any symptoms yet hahaha. Sorry to hear of the BFN, keep testing and keep us updated though!

@Sdoo4 also 5DPO today and I've had lots of creamy CM too! Let's hope it's a good sign 🤞

Hi can I join I am 1 DPO on cycle #3 TTC DC 2 AF not due until the 19th so really going to try and hold off until AF is due to test it is definitely easier said than done tho. Good luck everyone who is going to start testing

Jurassiclover · 05/07/2020 23:36

@Itisme90 hi, welcome! The two week wait is so hard isn't it! You'll have to keep us updated when you do test! I'm probably going to cave and start testing from tomorrow so you can live through us until it's time for you to test hahah!

OP posts:
Itisme90 · 05/07/2020 23:43

@Jurassiclover I will definitely keep yous updated I am trying to hold off as long as possible because I had a chemical last month but I know I probably will cave I can’t help myself. Looking forward to sharing this with yous all fingers crossed this is a lucky thread for us all.

Jurassiclover · 06/07/2020 00:00

@Itisme90 so sorry to hear about your chemical! I'm looking forward to updates from everyone too!

I saw a double rainbow earlier which is supposed to be a sign of good fortune so let's hope this is a lucky thread for us all 🤞

Well I just did a first Response Early Result and it was negative 😩 period due on Wednesday.

30andTTC1 · 06/07/2020 11:37

Hi Ladies, I'd love to join the chat please! Im not 100% sure how many dpo I am this month. I used IC OPKs and didnt get a dark enough line to be completely certain of O day, but hoping I still did and just didnt show positive since they are so cheap!
Im currently on CD 23, AF due around 15th, and think im on DPO7ish!
This will be cycle 7 of TTC.

bibs124 · 06/07/2020 12:27

How is everyone feeling? I'm either 1 or 2 DPO, my positive was CD12 and now CD15.. been reading so much about what to do in the TWW as now on cycle 7. I'm wearing my fluffy socks and keeping warm.. anyone else? Grin

Jurassiclover · 06/07/2020 13:01

@JLM1008 sorry to hear of the BFN, there's still time though! Some people don't get their BFP until they're actually late!

@30andTTC1 Hi! I know a few people can miss their peak on OPKs if only testing once a day so very possible you just missed it on the tests! When you planning on starting to test?

@bibs124 I've also been wearing fluffy socks and keeping warm hahahah 😂 I'm feeling okay, got some cramping today so hoping that's a good sign since I'm 6DPO so right around the time for implantation!

Tested today and got BFN but expected that as I was mental to test this early anyways 😅 although DP reckons he could see a shadow but there was no colour so I think it was an indent line. How is everyone?

OP posts:
Itisme90 · 06/07/2020 14:02

Sorry about the BFNs ladies definitely give it a couple of days and test again I didn’t get a positive until I was like 4 days late with my 1st so fingers crossed for yous. What is this about the fluffy socks I have never heard of this? X

bibs124 · 06/07/2020 14:26

@Itisme90 it's probably a load of rubbish but apparently if you keep your feet and body warm it helps implantation.. I've read to eat warming foods like soup, stew etc and wear fluffy socks. Warm and not hot though so no hot baths and no hot water bottles on the abdomen etc.. Grin

lilfaith2020 · 06/07/2020 14:27

So I think I've got my bfp today... around 10dpo! I'm so excited but nervous now.. hope everyone is doing ok, sorry to hear of the BFN's Sad lots of love to all xxx

TWW - anyone want to join?
bibs124 · 06/07/2020 14:29

@lilfaith2020 congratulations!

JLM1008 · 06/07/2020 14:42

Congrats @lilfaith2020!

I know I’ve still got a couple of days until I’m out for good. I’ve had some cramping today and some brown discharge? Probably the start of AF although it’s not due too Wednesday. Trying to stay positive though.

lilfaith2020 · 06/07/2020 14:56

Thank you so much guys! Don't think it's hit me yet.. I did a test two days ago and got a BFN!

If it helps anyone, I came off cerelle in April and started trying straight away, I was a frontliner during covid and things were really stressful so I wasn't putting everything into conceiving, but I've since left my job and we properly tried this month- I used OPK's for the first time, and we DTD every other day when I got a positive result on the ovulation test. Didn't hold out much hope but it's obviously worked so I can't recommend that enough x fingers crossed for you guys BFP's!! You're not out til AF shows remember. Baby dust to all xx

helia · 06/07/2020 15:15

Hope you're all OK and congratulations, @lilfaith2020!

My lovely friend texted me yesterday to say she's five weeks pregnant and I am so happy for her. But I'm so anxious to find out if we've been able to conceive this month or not! CD19 now...

Shall I take my chances with a FRER at the weekend, around CD24/25 (cycles usually 28 days)? FRER claims it can detect pregnancy in 96% of women 5 days before the day of missed period... I'm not sure if I should just save my money and wait for my body to tell me with a missed period.

JLM1008 · 06/07/2020 15:54

@helia if you can help it try and hold out as long as you can - just to save yourself the ups and downs of testing early. It’s easier said than done I know - even though I’ve tested bfn 3 times over the last 5 days - I know I’m still in until AF shows. But it has affected my mood and emotions - I really wish I’d just held on until Wednesday this week as that’s when I’m due on.
