TTC after a chemical pregnancy / early miscarriage

Hi everyone, on a few really supportive threads on here but thought I’d make another for anyone who may be in a similar position to me and we can support eachother... I’m petrified of trying again after last month tbh.

Last week I thought our dreams had finally come true when I got 3 BFP (including a digital!).. a week later I was bleeding and a call to the EPU confirmed it was a chemical pregnancy / early miscarriage.. so I’m back here and tomorrow will be CD1 cycle 4 (I know so many people have been trying so much longer) but just didn’t expect to be back so soon after getting a BFP.

So tomorrow marks CD5.. AF is due around 1st August and I promise to not POAS (apart from the one I need to pee on tomorrow to confirm the pregnancy is gone!) until 8th August if AF doesn’t show.. I can’t risk seeing a chemical and testing early again so have told myself never again will I test early.

Would love some buddies along the way with me 🤞🏼🌈❤️

@LS2020 jeez what a nightmare for you - such a rollercoaster and it sounds like it’s completely impossible to predict at this point. A waiting game at this point?

I’ve not got a few of the symptoms I had a 7dpo last month, but I’m not reading into it because I’m sure it probably can change pregnancy to pregnancy even if the same woman. No af bloating yet, which would normally kick in around now. But also no little cramps, which I had last month by now. And as for my nipples, they feel a little tender but that might be because I keep checking if they’re tender 😂😂

Boc86 · 15/10/2020 19:37

Well I didn’t think I was supposed to come on with the progesterone but the hospital didn’t seem concerned and just said come off it and try again next month and it can take a couple of months to work
It did extended my LP from 9 days to 11 though so that’s great

What’s RHR @LS2020

Boc86 · 15/10/2020 19:39

@LS2020 it’s a brown flow so wiping a lot of brown everytime I go to the toilet, that’s the same as I get every month a day or two before my period

Mishmased · 15/10/2020 19:59

@Boc86 ❤️❤️
Hope all is well. There was a text message from school last night to say there's been a positive case in the bubble. Had to take my 5 year old for testing this evening. Just what I need now!

@LS202 RHR= Rearing Heart Rate I think

Mishmased · 15/10/2020 20:00

Sorry meant for @Boc86 not @LS2020

LS2020 · 15/10/2020 20:06

@Amy259 yeah stuck waiting! No sign yet.
Haha I love that, “I think my boobs feel sorer” then realise you’ve tugged on them 29 times today so probably why 😂

@Boc86 that’s good you’ve managed to get a longer LP but if hospital says is fine then sure it is, hopefully keeps getting longer! Yes it’s resting heart rate, it goes up generally when you’re pregnant, a bit like temping

@Mishmased oh gosh what a worry! When are you expecting to get their results back?

Mishmased · 15/10/2020 20:27

@LS2020 hopefully tomorrow or Saturday. So fingers crossed.

Amy259 · 15/10/2020 21:10

@Boc86 that’s good that they weren’t worried and that your LP increased to 11! I get af on 12dpo normally but I’ve never given it much thought...

@Mishmased what a worry! Fingers crossed it’s negative.

@LS2020 still not tempted to test??

LS2020 · 15/10/2020 21:14

@Mishmased I hope it comes back negative for you all, does that stop you having to do any isolation?

@Amy259 I don’t know, this morning, I felt pretty out and with RHR not overly fussed on testing but given the changes in my boobs and nipples this afternoon it is making me wonder. I keep thinking that maybe I’m just 7dpo like yourself as we had similar bleeds but then I feel way too close to AF for that so not really sure what’s happening. I’ll deffo give til the weekend I think

Mishmased · 15/10/2020 21:41

Well at the test center they said everyone isolate at home until we get result. But work protocol says unless I'm a close contact of a positive case, I'm ok to come in. Now protocol would have been fine if he didn't have symptoms but he has a new cough and had a temp but I gave him paracetamol last two days as he's just lost a tooth yesterday. So no temp because he had paracetamol. DH works from home permanently now so he's isolating. We haven't been anywhere except the test centre. Hopefully the result come back tomorrow.

Mishmased · 15/10/2020 21:42

@Amy259 when is AF due?

Amy259 · 15/10/2020 21:57

@Mishmased Tuesday.. maybe Wednesday at a push. If it doesn’t come, I think I’ll test Thursday at 14dpo. Assuming I hold out until then 😂

Mishmased · 15/10/2020 22:03

@Amy259 fingers crossed for your BFP!

LS2020 · 16/10/2020 05:55

@Mishmased are you going to ask to stay off work to be on safe side then?

@Amy259 so no AF this morning and my RHR has risen by 3 so now I am v confused!!

Mishmased · 16/10/2020 06:03

@LS2020 I've done my part by telling them what I was told and I've been told to come in tomorrow if I don't get the result today. So I will go in and hopefully the result will be negative. If it is positive not much I can do. We have been wearing mask at work since may so fingers crossed.

Your RHR increase sounds promising I think? I'm not clued on it at all.x

LS2020 · 16/10/2020 06:14

@Mishmased oh that’s good work have given you guidance on what to do as makes it out of your hands then. I’m sure will be fine ☺️

Yeah RHR increase is good, just now it’s making me feel hopeful and makes it worse when AF actually comes 😩

Mishmased · 16/10/2020 06:18

@LS2020 one day at a time. Only positive thoughts now. Tomorrow is Saturday. Do you think you'll test?

LS2020 · 16/10/2020 06:39

@Mishmased thank you ☺️ I was just so sure AF was on the way so it’s hard to think it might not be, got that niggling doubt! It’s hard as well as didn’t know when AF was due so I don’t even know if I’m late.
Apart from my CP, I always have 26-28 day cycles, and v rarely 28, which I’m on today so if it doesn’t show today yeah I’ll probably test

Boc86 · 16/10/2020 07:09

Oh no @Mishmased !! We had that too the other week, child in my daughters year tested pos so my daughter had to have two weeks off

Ahhh not heard of testing RHR, I do BBT

Mishmased · 16/10/2020 07:22

@LS2020 I'll be watching my phone all day tomorrow now. Really hopeful for you.x

@Boc86 at least he'll only miss two days this week and midterm starts on Friday.

Regarding conceiving, it is so interesting how everyone does different things. @LS2020 watches RHR, you do bbt (that's temping right?) and I watch for ewcm. Do you have to take your temp same time every day?

Mishmased · 16/10/2020 07:23

Not sure why it posted in bold

Amy259 · 16/10/2020 08:01

Morning ladies!

@Mishmased hopefully you hear today, fingers crossed for neg.

@LS2020 this gets more and more confusing 😂 up by 3 sounds like quite a jump? Did it do that at all last month? My bbt has come back down from its crazy spike yesterday, back to where it normally sits after ov. No idea if it’s significant at all, or I was just randomly really warm yesterday!

Boc86 · 16/10/2020 09:15

@Mishmased yes so you need to take it within the same hour everyday, when you wake before getting up or moving too much
Mines always around 6am
I do it from abou a week after my period stops so about cd12 and stop when my period comes again
It’s actually been really interesting!

Mishmased · 16/10/2020 17:14

@Boc86 I'd never remember haha or one child will wake me up, there's always something.
Just got result back from our test and it is negative so thanks goodness for that.

LS2020 · 16/10/2020 17:48

@Mishmased oh bless you, I’ll tag you when I find out either way!
Yeah it’s cool how people check different things. I’m mostly just tight because sick of spending money on fertility things and already had a Fitbit 😂

@Amy259 yeah it’s a huge jump! Erm it was down around implantation but not as much as a decrease (it was same RHR figure tho each month) and then it went up straighter, again wasn’t as big an increase last month. Did you wake up at a different time with being up with dog?
