TTC after a chemical pregnancy / early miscarriage

Hi everyone, on a few really supportive threads on here but thought I’d make another for anyone who may be in a similar position to me and we can support eachother... I’m petrified of trying again after last month tbh.

Last week I thought our dreams had finally come true when I got 3 BFP (including a digital!).. a week later I was bleeding and a call to the EPU confirmed it was a chemical pregnancy / early miscarriage.. so I’m back here and tomorrow will be CD1 cycle 4 (I know so many people have been trying so much longer) but just didn’t expect to be back so soon after getting a BFP.

So tomorrow marks CD5.. AF is due around 1st August and I promise to not POAS (apart from the one I need to pee on tomorrow to confirm the pregnancy is gone!) until 8th August if AF doesn’t show.. I can’t risk seeing a chemical and testing early again so have told myself never again will I test early.

Just wondered if any one had this before..
My AF as stopped (from the miscarriage) yesterday (I've been bleeding for 11 days) and I took a pregnancy test and also a ovulation test today, the pregnancy test is still showing a faint line (which I thought it might, ive got a appointment at the hospital tomorrow for bloods to see if my HCG levels are going down as normal) but the ovulation test is literally so dark its nearly black! As anyone had this? am I actually ovulating? or is it just picking up from my pregnancy?! I feel so confused as I wanted to start trying as soon as I stop bleeding, I mean I still will DTD but just wanted know your thoughts x

Got my dye stealer and also 2-3 weeks on a digital hooray! Still petrified but hopeful this is a positive sign. I want to book an early scan but can’t decide when to book it for, according to my LMP I’m 5+3 but if I go by ovulation I’m 4+2 (I have long cycles so I don’t think the dating from my LMP will be right as I know I didn’t ovulate until 27th August and my first day of LMP was 7th August) I don’t wanna go too early and not see anything. Any advice or suggestions?

Hi @Littlebee1990 even though it was very hard I waited until I was 8 weeks from last period (but I have regular 28 day cycles) as I knew if I went too early I’d go into worry overdrive if there wasn’t a heartbeat yet. I went at 8 weeks, 2 days and measured 8 weeks, 1 day with heartbeat and everything looking normal. My advice would be wait until maybe 6 weeks post ovulation if you can? I’m not going to lie though, waiting was very hard and there were times I wanted to reschedule and get an earlier date.

How are you feeling? I’ve finally stopped expecting blood every time I go to the toilet and I’m having quite consistent nausea. It’s a bit oppressive but makes me feel more reassured. I’ll be 10 weeks on Monday xxx

@SMB20 I’m glad all was well and you’re feeling a little better. I’m going to book the scan for 2-4th October as then I’ll pretty certainly be between 7-8 weeks. I’d hate to go to early and have anxiety at not seeing anything! Xx

@Littebee1990 that's so good to see! I've got another digital but I'm petrified of doing it in case it comes back 1-2 still.

I have gone from when I ovulated so I'm 4+5 now. My LMP would have me at 5+3. I've gone to book an early scan so many times but keep holding off. Think we might do it on 27th Sept where I will be 6+6.

Going around 7-8 is a good plan, then it's not so long to wait for the NHS one

I think I'll be ovulating around 16th sept which is just before my night shifts start so that lucky!

Hey ladies!

5+3 today based on ovulation or 6+4 from LMP.. I’m going with the 5+3 as I know I ovulated late. Did a digital yesterday and was hoping to have progressed from 2-3 weeks to 3+ and I hadn’t so I was super worried but after reading 736385 posts on here and google it seems they’re notorious for being unreliable so I’m trying to relax!
13 sleeps until our private scan 🤞🏼❤️

Still pretty symptomless tbh which worries me but trying to keep positive.

Hi everyone, I wondered if I could join but I might be too far behind you ladies? I read through your thread (hopefully that’s not too creepy...!) and felt much less lonely for it.

I’m currently CD2 going through my first CP - bfp last Monday, by Thursday I knew it wouldn’t stick because the lines got fainter, started bleeding yesterday. That was cycle 2 ttc our first.

AF will be sue around 30th I think so just a waiting game, I've ordered a First response which won't come until 1st so I'm going to try and not test before that

Had some pain and was sent for an early scan and I’m so worried. I’m measuring between 5.5-6 weeks (as expected) and they found a yolk sak and a baby however she told me that the heartbeat is lower than they’d like to see, could MC in next 2 weeks.. want me back for another scan in 2 weeks. I’m petrified 😩

Please could I join? @Amy259 I had my first CP on Thursday night too and was heartbreaking so right there with you. This was our 15th cycle so been tough but nice to know I can actually get pregnant.

@Littlebee1990 sorry that they’ve said that to you. I’m not a doctor but I thought that it didn’t start developing a heartbeat until 6 weeks so surely the fact there’s one is a good sign at all? How strong can it be at that stage :/ I’ve got my fx for you though and hope that it gets stronger ❤️

Hi @LS2020, lovely to ‘meet’ you. So sorry to hear that you went through that, I hadn’t even heard of it until ttc so it came as a bit of a shock - both how common it is and that it happened. Not testing early won’t work for me as I felt completely different so I knew anyway plus I ended up 5 days late, but fingers crossed it was a one off! How are you feeling?

@123feraverto thanks how are you? I'm keeping everything crossed for you. I thought we missed this month as When I felt I was ovulating we used condoms. This was because I wanted to take a step back and figure out if I really want to ttc. When my app showed ovulation my body didn't show any signs. We had sex more for the mood lol! Hopefully it sticks now. I've got no symptoms but I never get any when pregnant.

@Amy259 yes the doctor said today it happens in 50% of cases and I was shocked how likely it was. It does make me feel better but also hurts for other women having to go through it and also makes me scared for it to happen again. Yeah I was the same, I didn’t test early and got BFPs up til the Wednesday 4 days past AF so not a lot I can do. I think only thing I might do is not tell OH till 6 weeks as he was so heartbroken for us.
I’m up and down, I’ve processed it well looking at the stats and understanding it wasn’t meant to be but it’s so hard when I think that this month may not get a BFP and so the next best will be next month and that would have been my 12 week mark and could have been announcing. How are you doing?
