@DSC1 might be useful to take a break from it all - I did an opk today at cd8 and it was a "high" reading so who knows if I am already in fertile week!

DSC1 · 24/06/2020 13:13

@Annny27 that’s interesting, I sometimes get 6/7 days of flashing smileys (high) on the CB before the static (peak). Just get in lots of DTD and hopefully we will both get BFPs this month cycle buddy!!!

Tink2019 · 24/06/2020 14:23

Thanks for the tip @notyetamumbuttrying will try grapefruit juice. I just never seem to have a lot of fertile CM, but then I guess it's impossible to know what's 'normal'.

@DSC1 That sounds like a good plan - hopefully it'll be your month!

@jlmul9 I've actually been prescribed Clomid already (consultant thinks I may have both PCOS and endometriosis and not ovulating regularly), but won't start taking it until cycle after next as they want to do the bloods and scan first. Keep us posted on how you're doing, it's always nice to speak to people going through similar stuff to you 😊 x

Posy1 · 24/06/2020 17:27

Hey everyone. I need to catch up on this thread properly later, but just a quick question. AF has just arrived. At the moment its just red blood on wiping, so do I count today or tomorrow as CD1? I need to have a day 3 blood test, so just wondering what to tell them.

DSC1 · 24/06/2020 18:05

@Posy1 I’ve always read that it’s the first day of actual flow you count as day 1. I think wiping is just considered spotting

Tink2019 · 24/06/2020 19:00

I agree with @DSC1, think day 1 is full flow @Posy1 x

KK251289 · 24/06/2020 19:58

Thanks @DSC1 I'm glad AF arrived early, just got more vitamins delivered so already started on those. I'm having a month off too from tracking too, see how it goes, I dont blame you from doing the same, with birthdays and anniversarys this month you'll have lots of distractions so a good time to try it. Good luck x x

@Posy1 I agree with the other ladies, I always say CD1 is the first full day.

jlmul9 · 24/06/2020 20:12

@Tink2019 Absolutely x

@Posy1 1st day of proper flow

Posy1 · 24/06/2020 20:38

@DSC1 @Tink2019 @KK251289 thanks ladies. That's what I've been doing so far, but just wanted to check to be sure it was right. Xx

Fraucherie · 24/06/2020 22:10

@DSC1 We officially started in September also. Did it take long with your first baby? I feel like this really is the month. I have had a constant pinching type pain in what feels like my left ovary for three days now, and no AF type cramps. Feels very similar to what I can remember of my first one (I wasn't expecting to be pregnant so I didn't take too much notice). The wait is brutal, and I actually felt really anxious this morning. A positive seems too good to be true at times. I did do a test today and it was negative, but first pregnancy I didn't test positive even 2 days late. I didn't think I was pregnant until I fainted one day, and woke up the next day feeling sick. I tested and it was a positive, I was 8 days late.

DSC1 · 24/06/2020 22:24

@Fraucherie really hoping that this is your month, it’s so hard month after month to remain positive so I’m keeping everything crossed for you. When are you due on? I conceived quickly with my first - I had a miscarriage prior to my LG but both times conceived on the 2nd or 3rd cycle so has come as a bit of a shock to be struggling. What about you? I recently had my AMH levels (egg reserve) tested and that came back lower than average for my age. I’m going to a fertility specialist on Monday who will do a scan and follicle count so will hopefully know more then if there is a problem.

Fraucherie · 24/06/2020 22:35

@DSC1 Yeah it is so hard. It is getting harder, and I know that if AF comes, I am really going to be shattered this month. I also conceived quickly, within days of getting my IUD out with my son. I actually wasn't expecting it at all, because I was going home to Australia for xmas and wanted to start trying when I returned to the USA. So naturally I thought it would be the same for number 2! I am not so sure about my egg levels. I am going to wait till August to get any testing done. I am in a bit of denial I think! I hope you get some answers or at least a good plan at the fertility specialist. Incredible how many of us are going through this. It is a lonely road, and you don't want to be talking about it every month constantly. It is a little bit like grief when AF arrives. Sounds dramatic, but I feel a similar sorrow.

Fraucherie · 24/06/2020 22:36

@DSC1I'm due either Sat or Sunday!

notyetamumbuttrying · 24/06/2020 22:42

It's not dramatic @Fraucherie! I feel that too. It's like you're grieving for what could have been...makes total sense to me Thanks

DSC1 · 24/06/2020 22:49

@Fraucherie totally get you and whatever this month brings there is a whole group of us here ready to support or, better yet, celebrate with you.

KK251289 · 24/06/2020 23:09

@Fraucherie wishing you all the luck in the world you'll get a BFP this week. I know it's hard but try to keep yourself as busy as possible. Its Thursday tomorrow so not much longer now x

LS2020 · 25/06/2020 07:34

Hi everyone, please can I join? AF arrived this morning so officially ends cycle 6 attempt (although been off contraception for a year now). This will be our first child and me and DP are 27.

Also @Posy1 I did some of those tests a few weeks ago and they did say it was better to do Friday rather than Saturday so it doesn’t sit in the post and they said days 2-5 were fine, just 3rd was best so it might be worth seeing if that’s the case for your tests 😊

Twinkletoes85 · 25/06/2020 10:11

Gosh I've had a couple of days break and the thread has been really busy. Trying to catch up!

Welcome to the new ladies 😊

How is everyone feeling today, coping with the heatwave?

OP posts:
KK251289 · 25/06/2020 11:00

@LS2020 welcome to the thread. Sorry to hear AF has arrived. I'm CD3 so not far off from you.

@Twinkletoes85 hope you've been ok. This heat is horrendous, glad I'm off work but it's too hot to sit outside.

Twinkletoes85 · 25/06/2020 11:05

@KK251289 I'm ok ta. We had a couple of arguments about it all (having time force dtd and frustration that it's not happened yet blah blah) and it really knocked me. I still don't really know the best way to move forward with it all now other than only telling him we have to when I peak and nothing before then to try ease up a bit 🤷🏼‍♀️.

It is too warm to sit out at the moment! Are you doing anything nice with your time off?

Baileys123 · 25/06/2020 11:59

I got my bfp 2 days ago Smile
I was getting blazing positives on opks for a few days along with a uti and lack of pms symptoms which made me suspicious. Due on 5th march Star

Annny27 · 25/06/2020 12:09

Congratulations @baileys123 :) how long had you been trying?

@Twinkletoes85 yes I am telling my DH we need to have set today regardless of how hot it is 😅🤣🤣

Cd9 for me ladies and had some wattery/ nearly ewcm so ovulation probs a week or so away :)

Tilly1403 · 25/06/2020 12:15

@Baileys123 huge congratulations! That's such a great news!

Baileys123 · 25/06/2020 12:45

Thanks everyone Smile I delivered my angel baby in march so very anxious and afraid to go to the toilet.

KK251289 · 25/06/2020 12:50

@Twinkletoes85 sorry to hear that. It's so frustrating isnt it that they dont understand like we do. They dont have to temp, symptom spot, use OPKs etc all they have to do is DTD. It's been nice thank you, painted our kitchen, we're waiting for a car to come tomorrow, its only a 2nd hand one, but its 4 doors instead of 2. It's something I've wanted to get before having a baby. Other than that seeing family in the garden.

Congrats @Baileys123 such lovely news, so happy for you x x
