@Baileys123 huge congratulations to you, wishing you all the best for your pregnancy.

@Twinkletoes85 it’s so hard when tension starts with your OH about trying. They just don’t seem to get it or understand how basically our whole month is either waiting for the FW or waiting to see if AF appears. We just don’t seem to get a time to relax and it’s hard on us. Maybe an idea when you get the static is to have a takeaway, allow yourself a glass of wine if you aren’t off alcohol and make it seem like a date night?

@KK251289 that’s exciting about the car!

notyetamumbuttrying · 25/06/2020 13:23

Congrats @Baileys123! All the best for a good pregnancy
@KK251289 enjoy the nice weather! I'm stuck in my flat sweating one out whilst virgin broadband gives me hell 😂 thank god for mobile tethering!

Twinkletoes85 · 25/06/2020 14:47

@KK251289 that's exciting about the car! It makes such a difference having 4 doors. It sounds like you've had a lovely time 😊

I don't think men really realise how much 'behind the scenes' work goes into having a baby if you're actually trying to have one.

@DSC1 I might try that next month. He seems to swing between totally getting why it had to be a certain time to telling me ovulation is bullshit. Then he's like oh well you're enjoying all the dtd. Well no actually it's not exactly fun for me every time either. I think he expected it to just happen and now he doesn't really know what to do that it hasn't

Congratulations @Baileys123! Is this the first BFP of this thread?!

Posy1 · 25/06/2020 15:00

@Baileys123 congratulations, so happy for you. I can imagine you are very anxious though. Pregnancy after loss must be so difficult. Was your little one that was born in March a boy or girl? X

KK251289 · 25/06/2020 15:03

@notyetamumbuttrying I hope the broadband gets sorted soon, it's so frustrating!

@twinkletoes85 I'm so looking forward to having 4 doors. We've said this for a long time that before we had a baby we would need 4 doors for getting the car seat in and out etc, our car is basically falling to bits so nows the right time. I'm also thinking maybe I'll fall pregnant now I've got the car ready (crazy I know but worth a go at this point)

Posy1 · 25/06/2020 17:14

@LS2020 it looks like my test is going to end up being a day 2 test as my GP doesn't do blood tests on Saturdays. I'm dreading my results to be honest. 😖 Did your OH also have semen analysis?

@Twinkletoes85 we used to find the pressure of DTD very stressful. Now, we usually just try every other day from day 9 to ovulation and any more is a bonus. When we conceived my daughter we only DTD 3 times the full month and the nearest time to ovulation was 3 days before. Other months we had far more sex and didn't conceive.

Twinkletoes85 · 25/06/2020 17:26

@KK251289 I got a 4 door with kids in mind (long before actively ttc) it just makes everything so much easier. Giving people lifts, shopping haha. You never know it might be your lucky charm.

@Posy1 thank you that actually makes me feel a bit better. I know he wasn't trying to upset me and it's understandable that he feels like he does but it has really upset me thinking we're effectively cutting down our chances.

LS2020 · 25/06/2020 17:40

@KK251289 oh it’ll be good to have a cycle buddy - mine are normally 26-27 days so I get out of sync with people quickly!

@Posy1 I wouldn’t worry, I dont think it should matter that much if you’ve been spotting day before too. I had a private one that you just sent out in post and got results back fairly quick. Was a bit nervous but was reassuring when they came through and plus if they do find, means they can get sorted quickly. OH hasn’t had a sperm analysis but think we’re going to send him to GP to get one done to rule anything else out. Been a bit nervous to approach him as he’s been very laid back on process and he deffo will not think anything is wrong with him!

@Baileys123 congratulations!!

Baileys123 · 25/06/2020 17:40

It was my 4th pregnancy and was a little girl lost at 17 weeks. Her cord was coiled Sad perfect otherwise. We were told it was a one in a million chance with zero to one of it happening again. Although they want me on progesterone and aspirin asap.

PlanBea · 25/06/2020 17:48

@Baileys123 congratulations on your BFP, sorry to hear of your recent loss. Keeping my fingers crossed for you.

Also a hello as I'm joining in the thread. I've been off contraception since January 2019, I honestly thought it might take some time but that I'd have a baby by now. I've just started using an Ovusense to track my cycle. I was previously using a Daysy as a BBT tracker, interestingly they both followed the same pattern early cycle but in the last few days have swung wildly apart. Hopefully Ovusense will give me some more data, it'll be interesting to see if one is more accurate than the other. Daysy has decided I've not ovulated this cycle again, hopefully Ovusense decides I have! 🤞

Aokbaby · 25/06/2020 18:26

@Baileys123 congratulations, lovely news🥳

Hi to everyone 👋

Baileys123 · 25/06/2020 19:22

Thanks everyone and good luck to all 🙏

Tink2019 · 25/06/2020 20:16

Congratulations @Baileys123 - you must be feeling anxious but very happy and excited 😊

I'm having a really emotional day today - keep crying and snapping at my husband. Think it's because tomorrow is CD26 and there's still no sign of O despite having high LH tests for the last 12 days. Just doesn't want to peak this cycle...it's just so disheartening thinking this is another cycle where I don't ovulate. Sorry ladies just needed a little vent as have driven myself crazy today. Maybe it's the heat too! x

DSC1 · 25/06/2020 20:57

@Baileys123 I’m so sorry to hear about what happened in your previous pregnancy. I had excellent care when I got pregnant again following a MC and the hospital told me they were happy for me to come whenever I needed reassurance.

@Tink2019 sorry to hear you are having an emotional day, definitely think the heat doesn’t help. Do you take Clomid or anything to make you ovulate? How long are your cycles normally?

@PlanBea welcome to the group! It will be interesting to hear which of your trackers are more reliable. I usually just do OPKs but having a break from it this month.

Tink2019 · 25/06/2020 21:20

@DSC1 My cycles are between 27 and 37 days normally, so this will either be a longer than normal cycle or an anovulatory OR my OPKs are duff this month! I've been prescribed Clomid but won't start until cycle after next as they want to do some more bloods next cycle before I start taking it. To book the bloods though I need a rough idea of when AF will come, but don't have a foggy atm 😩 x

Aokbaby · 25/06/2020 21:44

@Tink2019 yea the heat just adds to the irritability 🙈 can I ask which opks you use? Another poster mentioned that the one step weren't very good at picking up LH compared to other brands, I've only been using one step and am gonna buy different ones for next cycle

Tink2019 · 25/06/2020 22:21

@Aokbaby I use Wondfo - I used to use One Step and never even got a high reading so may have been me saying don't use One Step! Wondering if yesterday would've actually been a peak reading if I hadn't drunk so much water - I was literally thirsty all day. Have tried to attach yesterday's OPK. What do you think? 80 would be classed as peak according to the app I use (Femometer)??

6 months plus ttc (continuation of 6/7 months ttc) all welcome
Aokbaby · 25/06/2020 22:27

Lol @Tink2019 yea it was you!! Sorry 🙈🙈

Aokbaby · 25/06/2020 22:34

Can't see the pic @Tink2019

Tink2019 · 25/06/2020 22:37

@Aokbaby I can't work out how to make the pic normal size 🙈 - if you click on it it should open to normal size so you can see the full thing. At least it does on my phone x

Aokbaby · 25/06/2020 22:56

@Tink2019 Must be a problem with my phone, I can't even see a small pic 🙈

Aokbaby · 26/06/2020 07:37

@Tink2019 ah I see it now, mustn't have loaded on my phone last night!! That Def looks like a peak LH to me x

Tink2019 · 26/06/2020 08:09

@Aokbaby I've had a small temp spike today so fingers crossed it was a peak reading and I have actually O'd finally this month...thank you for your support, feeling much less emotional today thank god! 😊 x
